Thanks so much for sharing such a private experience! Your videos are so very helpful to me as my daughter and I face all the unknowns of her upcoming surgery.

Im sorry you had so much pain. I had a mastectomy recently and was so fortunate to not experience any pain at all. No drains, just a dressing across the wound which was removed 2 weeks after the op. I was walking to the shops and back in 3 days, albeit slowly.

Wonderful!!! My pain wasn’t as bad as many have-it was pretty manageable and quick to heal.

Would you link the study on compression- I’m scheduled for NOV 10. Different as I’m doing DMX with DIEP Flap but curious what info you found and how it might or might not correlate. Thank you for sharing so much .

My go to expert on compression is Kelly @CancerRehabPT and I believe her video on compression was what I was speaking about. How did your surgery go? I hope it went as well as mine did.

It’s when they use the extra skin from your breast after mastectomy to make a small mound or fill in the hollow part of your chest before closing the incision.
