Thank you for your videos. I am 4 days post double mastectomy. When I mentioned to my surgeon that I had chosen to go Flat and definitely not have any more surgeries,,,Her reply was,,,”it is a fad”. I was devastated and she seemed to now become rushed, and when I asked to see photos was told to look on Google. The day of the surgery she asked if I was still sure of my decision and I adamantly said yes. i am not sure what my new chest looks like yet,,still have the pumps and drains and dressings in.i liked my surgeon but feel that letting women know all the choices is so important. going flat was not really an option given,,,and not one too well received. I hope it has ended up well!
I'm sorry that your surgeon wasn't a fan. They seem to take it so personally, some of them. Ugh. Yes, my story has ended well. I have lots more videos if you want to see!
I wanted to say thank you for sharing your journey with us! I recently subscribed to your channel, and I know you were talking about running into older women in their 70s and up. Do you mind sharing what generation you are a part of? I would love to share your fashion experiences with designers to help make fashion more inclusive for women of every generation. Thanks again and best of luck with your advocacy journey!
Love to! I’m 51 now. I’m part Swedish, so look a little younger due to being blessed with Swedish skin! My friend Farahana also has a passion for flat fashion. Her insta handle is @flauntflat I think… and also Tina @not_in_the_pink is a wonderful fashion minded flattie!
