I actually agree with you. I know that that ending in the video was unrealistic, but as a girl who is in love with my straight best friend, I will just say that it is absolutely terrifying thinking about how wrong things could go if I were to let my best friend know I like her, and seeing a video like this makes me smile a bit that _someone_ was able too get a happy ending, despite that the relationship in the video was fictional.

I fell in love with my best friend too in 7 grade [which is kind of young] when I first laid eyes on her and we became really great friends and she was really sad because she didn't know no one in the class. Every time I stared at her, she would around and smile and it would make me very happy. Sad that she can't spend time with me that much because we only have p.e together and she's always with her other friends at lunch or other periods.I told her in 8 grade my love for her and over our winter break, we became a couple. Turns out, she liked me too. She said I was really crazy, weird, loud but softhearted, artistic and kind. I always protect her when we were best friends from bullies and that she's always really happy with me. I love her dearly as she loves me too.

It's worse when you have a vivid imagination, lying awake at night, just picturing what it would be like if they loved you back, if they were there by your side. It's not just awkward smiles and prolonged gazes. Being in love with your best friend is sleepless nights hugging your pillow and worrying that if they find out, they'll never talk to you again. You're terrified that you'll lose the privilege to hear their laugh or see their smile, which may be the only reason you wake up in the morning.
Its not always a happy ending. Sometimes it ends with you just giving up and trying to distract yourself with someone else, even though they're always in the back of your mind. Sometimes it ends with you confessing and them making up some excuse as to why they won't date you. Sometimes they're disgusted. Sometimes they ignore you altogether.
I wish that life was a fairytale, and every romance had a happy ending, but it isn't. The only way I'll see my princess is in my dreams.
Sorry for the vent. I should keep this to a stupid journal or something, but I just felt the need to get this out of my system. I'll probably still think about it until three in the morning, but I hope someone can find comfort in the fact that thus aren't the only one. I know I do.

Ever since I came out to my best friend she's been kind of distant like we used to cuddle and watch Netflix or hold hands in the hallway(like best friends do) but now we don't. We're still really close and all but it's just different now. Whenever I talk about girls she seems weirded out. Shes not homophobic but its like she's not okay with me being lesbian. She says it's because she's disappointed because I didn't tell her that the whole time I was gay and that were not as close as she thought but I feel like it's more than that. I told her I was bi and that I like guys too(just to make her feel less weird) and all of the sudden it was like how it use to be. We now hold hands like we used to and hug and cuddle like we used to but just the fact that I got to lie to her just so we don't drift away from each other hurts me inside. I just want my best friend to accept me the way I am.

Almost a yr late lol but u need to hear this before the year ends. Y'all need to sit and have a heart to heart. Communication is key in EVERY type of relationship including best friendships (or as i like to call them, platonic marriages lmao). Y'all should sit down and ask her how she feels abt gay ppl and lgbt in general, and how she feels abt u being gay. Then you two go from there. To all of those people saying that they are pissed buzzfeed is making so many lgbtq+ videos...why? Most of the video content (not buzzfeed but all the other channels and the WORLD) is directed at straight viewers. What is the harm in having one, somewhat popular, youtube channel directed at a different audience? I, for one, am glad because as someone who is questionning their sexuality its really helpfull to have a relatable channel to watch.

Buzzfeed is trying to portray that even if you are part of the lbgt + community it is normal. They have no warnings or anything which is why I 100% like buzzfeed they accept anyone's Opinions. Even if they don't agree with what they are saying.
