I didn't realize I liked girls until middle school, and I realized I was in love with my best friend at the time and didn't tell her or anyone else until my junior year of high school. Once I told the people I'd been friends with for years, and after I told them, they all (except one) began coming out to me as well. The girl I was friends with turned out to be a lesbian, and the entire time she liked me as well.. So ya know, if you aren't out do it at your own pace, but telling her could possibly make her comfortable enough to tell you if she isn't entirely straight. Obviously she very well may be, but you never totally know.

Wow, this is good! I went through the same thing, except my best friend was a guy. We were best friends for 4 years. I was madly in love with him, but afraid of ruining the solid friendship that we had. It tortured me inside to the point where I no longer cared about his reaction because either way would be a huge relief for me to get off my chest. I HAD to tell him. It was unexpected. Thanks for sharing your experience. Despite seeming like the right course of action, hiding one's feelings is not the way to go - I've been torn up about my own feelings for my friend for years now, but we've drifted apart and I haven't seen her in a while, so it just feels like it would be a pointless and ill-timed confession. But time has not been kind to my emotions in the least. Maybe I'll tell her eventually; who knows. It would definitely get a weight off my chest, if nothing else.

Most of the times it means you're biromantic, and that means that if you're a guy and you're in love with or have a crush on another guy, that makes you attracted to his body as well, but he is just an exception. I was in a similar situation with my best friend(he's a boy, I'm a girl) and we'd discussed what we'd do if we ever had feelings for each other, which was that we'd talk about it and sort it out. He said he had feelings for me and I knew I did too, we kissed 2 days ago and he asked me yesterday and now we're dating. So what I'm saying is, talking it out is the best thing to do. Wow, this is good! I went through the same thing, except my best friend was a guy. We were best friends for 4 years. I was madly in love with him, but afraid of ruining the solid friendship that we had. It tortured me inside to the point where I no longer cared about his reaction because either way would be a huge relief for me to get off my chest. I HAD to tell him. It was unexpected. I visit this video a lot, but this time is different. I was so afraid to tell my best friend of 5 years that I was in love with her. I bottled up those feelings for 2 of those 5 years, so worried about losing her. I couldn't stand the idea of never seeing her again. I was scared, sad, and felt hopeless all of the time.
At one point, it became too much for me, and - after probably the most lonely, miserable day ive had in a while - told her how I felt. Despite seeming like the right course of action, hiding one's feelings is not the way to go - I've been torn up about my own feelings for my friend for years now, but we've drifted apart and I haven't seen her in a while, so it just feels like it would be a pointless and ill-timed confession. I think I’m in love with my best friend. It I can’t tell if it’s just because we’re just best friends, or I’m desperate, or if I’m actually in love with her. Whenever I am alone with her, I always want to hold her hand, sometimes so bad that my hand actually aches. When we have sleepovers or sleep in the same bed, I always want to hold her and tell her how amazing she is. I want to kiss her and hug her and never leave her. This actually happened to me. It was my first true best friend and when I moved away my feelings started to grow stronger, yes I had taught about it before but it was my best friend so I ignored it.
