The little detail that despite Flint's father needing the thought translator to help him get his words out, he didn't need it to tell Flint out loud that he loves him gets me every time!
Tim was never a bad parent, just a flawed one like parents truly are in real life.

Shrek, Night at the Museum, Polar Express, Peter Rabbit….There usually ARE major “differences” between an iconic 24-pp. picture book at Barnes & Noble, and a Sony or Dreamworks attempt to “embellish” it for feature length.
As for Lord & Miller, if you’ve seen their equally hyperactive/unfocused Lego Movie, you’ll understand why I walked out of this one calling it “The movie where characters bounce off the walls LITERALLY and figuratively…”

I never thought about this before, but even if this was possible, for all of the water to be turned into food would mean there would be no water, this would mean the plants wouldn't get the water they need to grow, water would get harder and harder to get, they'd have to start purifying the saltwater for hydration.

I can see why when I was 6, I watched this movie every day and I even made my own play of it. Anyway, I don’t know what it is but something about this movie makes me love it so much. Ok bye

I just realised, at 19:54 when the Mayor is pitching his idea to Flint Lockwood, you can see Flint presumably about to eat a PB&J sandwich, which is nice foreshadowing to his allergy lie at 17:50.

My personal favorite scene is where the Cop's family is fleeing from the foodalanche and the level of team work and over the top athleticism from them is fantastic. So I'm really gratified that you also enjoyed that sequence. Seeing you get invested in this movie just makes all the emotional moments hit that much harder. Thanks for the reaction!

i like how the message of this movie subtly touches upon themes of over consumption, obesity and food waste. I think Flint could've used his machine to solve world hunger

I was thinking you should react to this movie! Definitely one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen, but still a lot of fun, and I love Flint, but maybe I just love weirdos since I am one. 😂

I think one of the first Sony movies that started being actually good after trash fires like "Emoji Movie". I think this was directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller("Into the Spider-Verse"), who generally do great work.
Love the Mayor getting fatter as the movie goes on. Bruce Campbell is always hilarious. And the ending with him floating and saying "This was not well thought out..."before he takes ANOTHER bite of the mast kills me!

The movie is based on a childrens book where it rains food naturally. It would always rain and snow food naturally, but then the weather turned for the worse/ hurricanes of Brussels sprouts, etc.
the townsfolk are forced to leave and find a town where they buy food in stores and live regular lives like ours.
