    When Flint Lockwood pretends he's allergic to Peanuts with Sam Sparks (as she's allergic to Peanuts) just so she could like him up until he confesses that he isn’t allergic to peanuts, the funny and ironic thing is that Flint Lockwood’s voice actor Bill Hader is actually deathly allergic to Peanuts just like Sam Sparks.
    It even goes further where Bill Hader was the voice of Mr. Peanut for Planters from 2013-2017.🥜🥜

    This is definitely one of my favorites from Sony Pictures Animation. The smooth animation on the food is easily one of the main highlights of the film, especially the scene with the spaghetti tornado. It's also a great directorial debut for the iconic duo, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, where they would later go on to create the 21 Jump Street duology, The Lego Movie, and of course, Into the Spider-Verse!

    • @EChacon
      @EChacon ปีที่แล้ว +21

      Indeed, of course, Phil Lord and Chris Miller did had their start through _Clone High_ which currently was revived with a season 2 on Max, before they became a household name through their contributions in Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Lego Movie and the 21 Jump Street duology.

    My husband and I originally didn't want anything to do with this movie when it came out. Thought the idea was too silly. This film proves that Lord and Miller are writing geniuses. There's so many hilarious quotes and gags throughout. Mostly with the giant food, Steve, and Officer Earl. But they also know how to balance it out with just the right amount of heart. The conflict and ultimate resolution between Flint and his father is handled really well, and overall, this movie just has a great message about embracing who you are and supporting your loved ones.

  • @EChacon

    I never get Animat (Electric Dragon) disdain towards this movie and compared this film to "Charles Manson", because literally, this is one of the most creative and funniest animated films released by Sony Pictures Animation, I just love the cartoonish animation style that was utilized, the visual gags and humor and especially how the animators did the animation of the food. It so makes me want to eat all this food shown in the film. I also love the voice cast that was utilized in the film consisting of Bill Hader, Anna Faris, James Caan (RIP), Andy Samberg, Bruce Campbell, Neil Patrick Harris, Benjamin Bratt, Lauren Graham, and Mr. T as Officer Earl. Not to mention it was the launching pad for Phil Lord and Chris Miller who previously had their start on _Clone High_ and would later be responsible for directing, writing, and/or producing the _21 Jump Street_ duology, _The Lego Movie,_ and _Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse._
    Looking forward to the 2nd film (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2) and hope you guys will also get to watch the other animated films from Sony Pictures Animation such as The _Hotel Transylvania_ films, _The Mitchell’s vs. the Machines, Open Season_ and _Surf’s Up_ but for the latter two films just watch the first films only and not the direct-to-video sequels.

    I didn’t notice how great the physics and light simulations were and how physics driven the animations were in this film
    I love how everything in the film pops back up multiple times, and it references so many real life things like the news and climate change
    Also there’s has a lot of references to Flint having traits that are stereotypical in guys with ASD, and so does Sam sometimes but then she hides it again, which I wonder if that’s a reference to the idea that it’s maybe more common for women to mask their ASD traits

    You guys need to watch Pixar’s Soul!!! A new gen classic imo animation is top tier and obviously tackles deep real life issues as they love to do these days

      Agreed, honestly it’s been literally 10 months since they reacted to a Disney Animated film, but a year and two months (14 months) since they reacted to a Pixar film.
      So I think they definitely need to do more Disney and Pixar animated film reactions.

    This movie is an all around good time. It brings the funny, has heart, good pacing, and euw.. no one likes Jello she's a trap cyborg gonna steal his knowledge someday 😂
    Recommend after Cloudy 2: Scoob! And Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers. I forgot to mention it also has claymation. You said it before with other movies about showing off, that movie seriously showed off.
