Non Sequitur is actually one of my favorite episodes of season 2. I saw it when it first aired, and many times afterwards. It's one of the better Harry Kim episodes.
It would have been far better if there had actually been signs that he was conflicted. He had escaped a nightmare scenario and wound up in a place where he was properly appreciated, and loved as well. So shouldn't he at least want to stay there?
If I had a nickel for every time you made a video dissing my favorite episodes, I'd have 2, which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice. Okay, you got like 2 of the episodes right, but most of them were definitely not "un-memorable" to me.
I really loved Muse. While I agree with most of the episodes on this list, it was good to see Tony Amendola cross over from Stargate to have a Star Trek guest appearance. Not to mention, it has a lot of stakes showing how B'Ellana handles a prime Directive nightmare after a few seasons of character development since the season 2 episode "Prototype." It had shown how much she has grown since then.

Harry has to choose between a cushy job at SCE, swift promotion to lieutenant, a gorgeous fiancee, and a barista who knows how he likes his coffee... or years as an ensign aboard a tin can in space, several disastrous attempts at romance, and Neelix's cooking. What was he thinking?!
Random thoughts and natural law are two one episodes I regularly go back to. And while I'm not a fan, Gravity is memorable with Lori Petty in it! Definitely not forgettable!
You know, I genuinely had forgotten about Nightingale, one of those that I guess never really stuck in my mind, I must have fallen asleep during that one... :P
The first like 3/4 of Threshold was good and if it had been a two parter it would’ve been good in the eyes of more people I feel. I say that because the episode does a good job of telling the story of what’s going on with Tom and his mutation process. But then toward the end, for no particular reason he abducts Janeway, activates the drive, the crew tracks down a shuttle that can be literally anywhere but we aren’t told how they did it, Tom and Janeway are just cured and don’t need therapy. They’re good and healthy and don’t need help. That I feel deep down is what gives Threshold a bad reputation. It just. Ends.
I disagree about much of this. Gravity is a fan favorite of actual fans. Season seven is full of entirely too many episodes about The Doctor and the season 7 episode Shattered, a Chakotay episode considered the best in the final season besides endgame. Bride of Chaotica is a HUGE fan favorite. I agree about half of these, like Alice is a stinker
I've got this theory about 'Unforgettable' is that it's a cynical meta-commentary on the existence of romance episodes in Star Trek. Those of us watching the episode are only along for the ride, we are intellectually aware that the love is going nowhere, and the in-universe characters largely forget about the person they loved. Plus it was one of the *very* few times when Neelix was not a complete shitehead; he gave Chakotay some really good advice in a way that I wished had been the ground state for the character.
Ironically, several of these "most forgettable" episodes are, for me, some of the MOST memorable. I still need to finish watching the series, though... I had never seen it before and I'm only towards the end of Season 5.
Ninety percent of Voyagers episodes end with no consequences. No matter how much damage the ship takes or how many crew members are lost, the next episode begins with everything fine.
Thanks to Rick Berman. The writers actually wanted a more serialized storytelling where actions have their consequences in a longer term, but Berman was fixated on the old-style concept of standalone, problem-of-the-week episodes. His core philosophy was "always play it safe, never take too many chances".
@@danielrudolf5441 Personally, I prefer the "problem of the week" style of series and get 26 episodes rather than one overarching story for a season of only 10 episodes. For me, having 20-25 stories is better than one, even if the one story is more detailed. I could randomly re-watch any of those episodes of TNG or Voyager and have a full story wrapped up in less than an hour. I don't have to watch them in order. I still watch and enjoy modern Trek, it's just not the same or as convenient.
Just because they're not the greatest, it's a bit unfair to call them forgettable. Like that episode with... erm... And that one with what's-her-name. Oh, and that one with Picard... or maybe... Archer?

I found "Unforgettable" very memorable. One of my faves. There was a season 4 episode - Nemesis (I had to look it up) which would have been completely forgotten by me were it not for the silly language used by the aliens Chakotay was stuck with ("As long as you're with us, you do my tellings. Fathom?")
"Fair Haven"...... an absolute abomination.....plus any episodes with Kes,Neelix or fucking Naomi Wildman in them....and don't get me started on those stupid Borg kids.
I loved Alice. As others have stated, it's very "Stephen King." I also enjoyed "Random Thoughts." It reminded me of "Tek War", written by William Shatner.
"For better or worse..." For worse. My least favorite ST show ever, until the episodes with 7 of 9. While not the dumpster fire that was "ST: Enterprise," it had mostly bland and forgettable, and sometimes unlikeable, main characters. I actively did not like some of the captain's moral choices even though I got the sense that I was "supposed to" agree with them. Stealing episode plots from TOS and NG? Check. Stealing episode plots from previous seasons? Check. Having an annoying non-human lead character who committed actions with no retribution, because he was just cute and funny, that got other characters in serious trouble? Check. Getting into the habit of demoting lead characters for sometimes justified actions? Check. Positives? Holodoc. Tuvok. Christopher Guest (I think) playing a one-episode character, Fear. And, of course 7 of 9.
"Sacred Ground" S03E07 should have been high on this list because I couldn't recall this episode before the list passed without it. I had to look this up because I only had a vague memory of it which aired between two episodes called "Remember" (oh the irony) and "Futures End part 1". I knew from the thumbnail that "Unforgettable" would be number one. Other episodes I can't remember and might have been better fit on the list include "Projections" S02E03 The Doc plays a holo novel that is never referred to again, "Resistance' S02E12 Voyager crew gets way too involved in a siege, "The Chute" S03E03 Tom and Harry imprisoned where the only way in is a chute, "Once upon a Time" S05E05 Naomi plays a holo novel (main storyline) while her mom is in trouble on an away mission, "11;59" S05E23 Y2K episode about a Janway ancestor, "Barge of the Dead" S06E03 B'Elannas mothers place in the Klingon afterlife becomes an issue.
Nightingale is memorable for me because it assassinated two characters: 1. When Harry mentioned to Janeway that he was still an ensign after 7 years, she was accusing and derisive. The warm and compassionate captain I knew did not treat people like that. 2. Harry, despite knowing only exemplary command chops from Janeway, Tuvok, and Chakotay, forgot everything they did. It's also memorable because the showrunners actively rubbed the viewer's noses in the fact that no matter how much they complained, Harry was staying an ensign, and if they didn't like it, they could piss off. Keeping Harry at ensign was obviously a big deal to them, far beyond a stupid and unfunny joke.
The fact of the matter is two-fold. 1) she can't promote everyone. With no transfers on or off the ship, she has to maintain a chain of command. She couldn't promote everyone to Commander, some had to stay ensign, Lt JG, etc. 2) What would have really changed for Harry? Other than an acknowledgement of his usefulness, which you could argue was implied by his being third shift commander at times, nothing would have changed. He'd still be Operations Officer, there is no pay increase. What does the promotion really get for him?
@@QBCPerdition It prevents him from being derided as the Forever Ensign for the last 30 years. This was a deliberate and carefully calculated decision by the producers, intended to humiliate the actor, and it was a big deal to them. Otherwise, when the viewers complained about Tom getting promoted and Harry not, the producers would have simply accommodated them. Probably at the end of "Nightingale".
the arguments against Harry episodes border on color-ism. not outright racism just a nod and a wink to the opinion that all of his episodes would be more interesting in Tom, Seven or the Captain's hands. This also tracks with Chakotay, B'elanna, and Tuvok episodes. thats not on the voyager writers, but more on trek culture. Every episode from 6 to 1 i would consider memorable.
I remembered and really liked every one of these episodes, although I've always thought Voyager was the best series of that era, I love every star trek series old and new but of all the 24th century shows, I realize I am in the minority when I say Voyager was my favorite followed by DS9 but The Next Generation is also very close to my heart as it was the first of Star Trek I've ever seen as I watched it on Television from day one but even still I very fondly remember every Voyager and DS9 episodes from every season whereas there are quite a bit more episodes from TNG that I have forgotten way more than the others and I tend to re-watch Voyager and DS9 much more than any other Star Trek shows from the late 80s through the 90s one into the early 2000s and I also loved every episode of Enterprise as well more than TNG believe it or not but that being said I do like and enjoy all of Star Trek old and new and really haven't seen any episodes or movies that I didn't like with Star Trek 5 at the bottom of my best of list but even with that movie at the bottom I still did enjoy it just not as much as any of the others. I guess I am just a very devoted fan of the franchise as a whole, even still my most favorite Sci-Fi show is still Stargate SG-1 but love the videos, I don't leave comments often because I tend to ramble whe I do but anyway. Keep the fantastic videos coming
Star Trek Voyager is the best to watch for a campy good romp. I will champion Voyager. (DS9 has the best story and characters nut I love my Voyager. Flaws and all.) And I remember every single one of these, ty. lol
I knew it was coming JUST so you could make fun of the title. I do remember 'Emanations', though, because at the time it struck me as a waste of an idea with so much potential.
I quite liked Alice and i always thought Paris' obsession was really well acted. Nightingale is super annoying as the nightingale ship was a horrible design. I liked Natural law toooo.
Wow. This is the first time I disagreed with a whole list. I didn't remember titles-because I'm bad at that with all TV series-but I remembered all of these episodes and enjoyed almost of all of them.
As this was my Star Trek as a mid to late 90s star trek kid, I love all these episodes and thanks to Paramount + and Pluto tv, I've seen all these episodes multiple times and therefore will never forget them.
So basically, "10 Star Trek: Voyager Episodes". I've seen the entire run at least three times and I could tell you the synopsis of maybe three episodes. And I'm not so sure about the third.
I found Alice and Alter Ego interesting. They both had the guest actress with and without heavy makeup prosthetics. It reminds me of ST main characters in alien disguises.
If Nightingale was a season 5 episode that lead to character development it might have been an A tier episode. Funny enough one of the most forgettable Voyage episodes imo is Unforgettable.
Judas Priest, are people STILL on about Tuvix??? Tuvix right to life...WHAT ABOUT TUVOK & NEELIX RIGHT TO LIFE??? It simple math...2 lives for 1. Or as Spock would say, "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few...or the 1".
"Muse" was funny in that they included a plot twist that would have been pretty effective in the actual universe! Seven of Nine actually being the Borg Queen would have been great!
I have often wondered if they were inspired by unused plot ideas for the actual show. Like, maybe when they first introduced Seven’s character, they toyed with the idea that she would later be revealed to be the / a Borg Queen.
@Pseudonym10 there is a book whose story deals with the changing face of the Birg Queen very similarly to how bees and other insects do it. Insects have a special royal jelly that turns an otherwise normal bee larva into a queen bee. In the book, there was a similar royal protocol that gets uploaded into a drone and makes her the queen. It shows that the Borg Queen was so intent on getting 7 back because she had been groomed to be the next Queen.
"Muse" had a chance to be the "ember Island players" of late season Voyager- it was right on the cusp of being incredibly funny and self-aware but I feel like they didn't know how to write an ending to the episode and it sputtered out. Great setup, but such a disappointment
@@thecunninlynguistthat is an often repeated rumor, but isn't entirely accurate. They knew they were going to add 7 of 9 and felt the crew would be too large, so they discussed who they could get rid of. Harry was mentioned, along with a few others, but Jennifer Lien wanted out and her behavior had been getting erratic, so she was the only person truly considered. And based on how tragic her life has been, it was the right choice for the show.
Yeah, I *think* TrekCulture is starting to struggle to come up with videos. Coming soon: • Top 10 romances of the week • 10 worst alien foreheads • 10 times an actor played two roles, but with suspiciously similar names • Top 10 times they transported through the shields • 10 20th century historical characters who turned up in the future

Yeah yeah it was yeah he gets upset with the f****** s*** because Alice drives him crazy and gets in his mind and goes if you don't do this you don't do that I'm going to get a f****** feed you my f****** energy you know he was obsessed with it for a reason because she got the computer guy in his head and manipulated him
Okay but one more thing about the Voyager okay well they're going after a lot of people under the ranks like Harry Kim he did Nightingale now they're doing this one with the girly falls in love with on the holodeck and turns out to be an alien and a nebula that's trying to make it not burst into flames and I have no idea why did you just let the nebula be the nebula right and then they have do they have her fake it or lie on the f****** show again where she's a holiday character in playing somebody else but they're lying again but in their f****** taking advantage of Harry Kim yeah okay yeah you can take it you can take advantage of me I'm Harry Kim I'm here again take advantage of me take advantage of me
Dude those are the f****** best ones of time travel in alternate universes are like what I live for oh my God my favorite episode to this day in Star Trek is cause and effect that's like the f****** best episode ever where you see the Enterprise destroyed over and over again and we get to see a alternate universe and it's f****** up oh and yesterday's Enterprise oh my God yesterday's Enterprise and then we got like the one where wharf goes in the I can't remember the name right now but there's an alternate universe well remember where I left out but I was talking about a card episode in the second season where they time travel like 7 hours in the past or something they meet himself and he talked to himself in a shuttlecraft and then they figure out it's the opposite and they have to reverse the flow of the energy and it's f****** so awesome how they f****** did all that s*** back then and they didn't in a week
You know for once I have like I have no bad feelings about this episode except for you know I don't know I was like an episode of Voyager yeah that's about it all I have to say about that one
Love you folks, but who got the short stick to go thru 7 years of episodes to find the "most forgettable." I'm watching to see if I remember them after seeing every episode 3x over the many years. Easy, every episode with "Captain Proton"/"Chaotica" or the Doctor's singing/romance.
All right thing about this episode is because of the random thought about Moana right but they had an underground market for the shed so it's been working for years and years but these aliens come down and they have random but what is in there a thing where they have to know the protocols of the society before they go down to the planet so everybody that went down to the planet knows everybody everybody everybody knows that the people on the planet are a telepath right and there's like things that you should know like oh my God you have a bad thoughts bad thoughts are bad and you'll get arrested for bad thoughts because they arrest you for thinking that's basically what they're saying on this episode they're saying that if you have a bad thought you're going to get arrested
My only comment here is that it's not fair to rate the episodes by which ones preceded or followed them. Perhaps that perspective counts if you're binge watching, but when these originally aired, a week would pass between a new episode and the one we just saw, meaning comparing episodes was a wispy endeavor at best. These episodes should be praised or criticized on their own merits, not by judging them against others bookending them.

"Fair Haven"...... an absolute abomination.....plus any episodes with Kes,Neelix or fucking Naomi Wildman in them....and don't get me started on those stupid Borg kids.
I loved Alice. As others have stated, it's very "Stephen King." I also enjoyed "Random Thoughts." It reminded me of "Tek War", written by William Shatner.
you list these as forgettable.
Perhaps it's because I've seen all of these so many times, but there was only 1 I didn't remember just from the title.
Other episodes I can't remember and might have been better fit on the list include
"Projections" S02E03 The Doc plays a holo novel that is never referred to again,
"Resistance' S02E12 Voyager crew gets way too involved in a siege,
"The Chute" S03E03 Tom and Harry imprisoned where the only way in is a chute,
"Once upon a Time" S05E05 Naomi plays a holo novel (main storyline) while her mom is in trouble on an away mission,
"11;59" S05E23 Y2K episode about a Janway ancestor,
"Barge of the Dead" S06E03 B'Elannas mothers place in the Klingon afterlife becomes an issue.
Nightingale is memorable for me because it assassinated two characters:
10:23 - Ironically the #5 pick is one of my favorite episodes and why I unlocked the "Yellowstone Class Runabout" in STO
the arguments against Harry episodes border on color-ism. not outright racism just a nod and a wink to the opinion that all of his episodes would be more interesting in Tom, Seven or the Captain's hands.
I personally like Alice, Random Thoughts, Unforgettable, & Non-Sequitur.
Regardless of what you think of Natural Law, if we get ST:Legacy, I expect that blanket to be in Seven's quarters.
Well, they can't all be gems, I guess...
Still my favourite ST series.
Strange, I remember "Muse" as one of the better episodes and had completely forgotten "Live Fast and Prosper" until it was mentioned here.
Random Thoughts is one of the most memorable episodes in all of Star Trek, IMHO.
Why are so many of your videos negative now? Do we really need to reduce every fan channel into nitpicking and armchair quarterbacking?
Friendship 1, with the unceremonious end of Joe Kerry, not seen for several seasons, was a forgettable slap in the face.
I like forgettable episodes! When I do a rewatch, it's like watching a new episode 😜
Unforgettable.
Should’ve seen that coming.
Wow. This is the first time I disagreed with a whole list. I didn't remember titles-because I'm bad at that with all TV series-but I remembered all of these episodes and enjoyed almost of all of them.
What a nothing list, even for this channel. Thinly veiled "complain about voyager" video lol
Tinker, Tailor, Doctor, Spy is a terrible episode, how can it be a fan favorite?
I am a Harry Kim fan. It's kind of sad that they gave him so many poorly written, blah episodes.
Unfortunately this will likely be a forgettable episode of trek culture.
Gravity is one of my favorites - Very surprised to it on this list.
When are we gonna get the top ten episodes of voyager and Enterprise we haven't got them yet come on trekculture
I always get Alice mixed up with the "racing episode" .
As this was my Star Trek as a mid to late 90s star trek kid, I love all these episodes and thanks to Paramount + and Pluto tv, I've seen all these episodes multiple times and therefore will never forget them.
I loved Muse!
Alice is a take.on the film.A Street car named desire.
give it watch
Sorry, Muse was an excellent episode....
This video was forgettable.
It had to be said.
Now it's only fair that you do this for every trek series.
So basically, "10 Star Trek: Voyager Episodes".
I've seen the entire run at least three times and I could tell you the synopsis of maybe three episodes. And I'm not so sure about the third.
Another forgettable list from trek culture
I loved "Muse".
Damn, Ellie really went hard into Harry's episodes to celebrate AAPI heritage month 😂😂
I found Alice and Alter Ego interesting. They both had the guest actress with and without heavy makeup prosthetics. It reminds me of ST main characters in alien disguises.
I actually liked the "Muse" episode
If Nightingale was a season 5 episode that lead to character development it might have been an A tier episode.
Funny enough one of the most forgettable Voyage episodes imo is Unforgettable.
Muse is one of my favorites.
Non Sequitur is one of my favorites!
"Of course, that's just my opinion," she said after spending the entire video declaring what "viewers" found memorable or uninteresting.
Gravity?... Do you mean Mavity?
I remember all the episodes on this list.
They were already dead - too late to be anything but murder.
Simple answer. Thomas Riker. Rhus all three can live
All chokotay focused episodes.
His character was woefully underdeveloped, and was essentially a one-dimensional magical Native American trope
.
@@Akira625 with guidance from a fraud NA consultant, lol.
@@thecunninlynguistYeah, I learned about that guy last year, which explains a lot about how Chakotay was written.
Cha-who-tay?
Akoocheemoya...We are far from the...**slaps Chakotay**.
I don't remember these
Isn’t it sad that half this list is Harry Kim and none of it was Kez and Kez the one that got rid of
they kept kim cause garrett ended up on People's 50 beautiful people list
@@thecunninlynguist I know just saying they choose wrong
@@thecunninlynguistthat is an often repeated rumor, but isn't entirely accurate. They knew they were going to add 7 of 9 and felt the crew would be too large, so they discussed who they could get rid of. Harry was mentioned, along with a few others, but Jennifer Lien wanted out and her behavior had been getting erratic, so she was the only person truly considered. And based on how tragic her life has been, it was the right choice for the show.
Yeah, I *think* TrekCulture is starting to struggle to come up with videos.

Why would you say that blonde Torres was going after f****** Harry Kim they had never went after each other are you f****** kidding me know if that's true I'm going to have to go f****** watch that f****** episode again because no way in hell bolana and f****** Kim get together and anything in Voyager
You know random thoughts I have a feeling that this episode could have been way better except for they had that little diverse thing where they had to extract evil image from Moana Torres and because she's a half Klingon she would have had that thought of f****** fighting because of getting hit in the shoulder and she's the only one that would have f****** had that b*******they could have done it to anybody in that goddamn show if they wanted to but they picked the half Klingon half f****** human that f****** was a woman and she would get pissed off because everybody knows he gets pissed off when she is like pissed off he just gets irritated just off the f****** God damn biscuits of everybody else you know she doesn't even have to f****** do anything and she gets irritated she gets f****** irritated for nothingbut that was her character everybody that was her character you know what and made a good episode you know what random thoughts was good except for that part where Neil ex was putting on too much cologne and he wanted to get some you know okay 40 year old 50 year old I don't know how old he is but maybe he's even older than that who knows because he was trying to get some from a f****** alien
Do you know I like how would that episodes because they're f****** like wow we can make anything we want and you know what is so imaginative because it's a holiday so you can do anything in there so why are you f****** like taking down the holodeck😊 you're taking down the holodeck seriously
You used AI to write the script? What the hell trek culture?! Have some integrity.
