I have that Vitamix, and it does not make that loud grinding noise. It sounds like something might be caught underneath the jar, or possibly something is vibrating near the machine. But I find this model to be very reliable, and nowhere as loud as the Boss blender.
I am a fan of both Breville and Vitamix. I have the Vitamix 750 blender, and I agree with apuz13. Mine never makes that horrible grinding sound. There's something obviously wrong with the one used in this video. Also, there is no need to hold the start button like they do in this video. You simply turn the knob to the cycle you want, and click the start button once, and it does the rest on it's own. This video is done with a bias against the Vitamix, and in favor of the Breville, as they over exaggerate things about the vitamix such as the grinding noise, and holding the start button although it's not needed. This is not an accurate unbiased review in the least bit
The best Vitamix blender WAS the 5200, according to America's Kitchen. However, this blender can't be bought anymore but the 'next best' one can. America's Kitchen reckons it's the Sage (Breville) Kinetix Control. This bender is sold everywhere. The moral of this story is that Vitamix was overpriced but Sage/Breville is a good product for the right price. (By the way, what these blenders both have in common is a good vortex)
Can anybody help me with my Breville blender. I accidentally spilled water on it and and it's no longer working. Can you please tell me what to do? Breville is really good to use, but now I can't use it anymore. @BrevilleBoss
I like both but if I had to choose it would be based on price and knowing that I am not as picky as other may be I would choose the Boss because of price and look and additional features. I can buy the Breville boss and breville Hemisphere for the price of the Vitamix.
you said the boss is the first to have a green smoothie button on the market.. the Vitamix has not only smoothies but numerous presets including smoothies on this and other models...
+Jennifer Lee The Breville Boss (Sage) has a smoothies pre-set AND a green smoothies pre-set -- two smoothie functions. As far as I know, Vitamix has one smoothies button.
Completely agree with other commentors, either thks person does not know how to use the Vitamix or the are deliberately using it wrong. Also I have never heard any Vitamix make that noise (even the cheaper versions) except in a video where they turned pebbles into dust just to demonstrate the power of a Vitamix.
I have the pro750 and never heard it make that noise that it did in this video. And why did they hold the switch down on the Vitamix.

If you want a quiet blender you'll need a fork and a bowl. These are both powerful machines and with that you get noise.
thank you!

Can either blender make "store bought" nut butters (almond/peanut/cashew, etc.) WITHOUT using a tamper?
highly doubt it
