    Brilliant review, but I'd love to see a complete one of these two exact big boys in different uses, like soups, pesto, floors and ice cream. I know that also peanut butter for example is a very hard task for a blender and would be interested to see how the two compete.

    I just got the Sage Super Q, and I had the Vitamix Prep 3. I noticed that when using the Sage Super Q with the "smoothie" preset I get A LOT MORE air in the mix compared to the Vitamix. Seems like the Vac Q is a must have with this machine if you make a lot of smoothies.

    • @radydragoon
      @radydragoon  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The problem is not in the blenders but in the form of jug, like the kuvings blend bad but the size of the jug is so small and made in a way that it create less air when you blend and when you open the lid there is almost not air..... Anyway buy a swelling lid with pompe works much better the the vac q soon i will be doing a video

    • @nossy232323
      @nossy232323 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@radydragoon I think it's more because the Sage uses different speeds while mixing, pulsing the food so it jumps in the air and gets more air. Compared to the Vitamix which mostly relies on the vortex it creates (created by the form of the jug like you wrote). I still have to buy the Vac Q. You don't recommend it?

  • @Golobtin

    Thanks for the video. I am going to get our Vitamix 2300 soon. I have not used one of these, but my general observation is as follows:
    1- I am baffled why result of Vitamix is thicker than the result of Super Q. Vitamix operated under normal air pressure, hence injecting more air into the mix than Super Q, hence more runny result was expected. By the same logic, Super Q under relative vacuum, is supposed to result thicker mix, but it did not. If we assume you were accuratly filling both machines with the same ingredient amounts (because you did not show if you were measuring ingredients accurately), the only explanation could be the shape of blades. Flat blade on Vitamix is less prone to introducing air into the mix. It would have been helpful if we knew how long each machine was run and at what max. RPM. All these factors are relevant.
    2- A side note; on Super Q, at the end of the operation (7:10), you don’t release air. You release air when air is compressed (like the tire of your car), not when we are dealing with relative vacuum . With vacuum, you let air in......thanks again.

    • @woopsserg
      @woopsserg 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Your assumption that with air it must be more runny is completely wrong.

    • @canillocanillo3371
      @canillocanillo3371 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mohammad Petgar….Wow.. where are you getting your information from? Your interpretation on how vacuum blending works is completely wrong. The less air the runnier and smoother the results…. This Sage( Breville) has the same blade shape as the vitamix. There was a lot more air( Oxidgenation) in the vitamin smoothie. I dont even understand how you came up with that opinion! Its like you watched a completly different video.

    • @philindeblanc
      @philindeblanc ปีที่แล้ว

      Here is lots of info from my experience:
      Yes, in general things exand in the vacuum, but this thing is so weak it barely makes negative pressure. It is likely closer to no pressure, than negative pressure. I have the Super Q, and it is next to my Vitamix, and I need to make a desicion soon, as I cannot have both taking up this space.
      Other vacuum aftermarket add-ons:
      I am wondering if the Vacuum jug and pump from OKRaw will be worth it. Its about $200 for a new jug with vacuum that will work with my Vitamix. But I feel stupid paying for a new jug I dont need, and a vacuum system that can be made for no more than $15, yet we as a collective are so stupid and lazy, we will buy this trash.
      There is a guy who used refgular plumbing parts and made a manual vacuum for the Vitamix, and I may even try that. As I think ANY battery pump is just not going to be the maximum negative pressure. I do mason jar vacuum canning , and a quality hand pump for $20 is my more powerful, AND much much faster than 3 of the battery pumps I tried, including Breville.
      Good things about the SuperQ/Sage Breville:
      The one thing I like better on Breville is the noise, it is less. But, its not like smoothies take long. Also, I tried to make peanut butter with the Breville, even adding oil...it sucks. Dont bother. The Vitamix I have is old, and it actually makes peanut, walnut, almond butter with NO added oil, BUT, it overheated a couple times, then kept working. While I like the lights and the time and such on the Breville, it is really useless unless you have a mix that is maybe 2 or more minutes and you set it, and walk away.
      Practicality:
      There is ZERO times I needed that in the many years I have used the Vitamix. We always try new things. We also use a masicating Omega juicer with it, so carrots and lemons, or other fruit with peel go there, and veggs go in the blender. You get fiber and juice. Throw in lemon grass, ginger, tumric, No problem. for the Omega, while lemon grass is very hard frozen.
      Vacuum:
      it is the way to go. See OKRaw comparisons on TH-cam. Also, the nutrition is higher, AND if you put in Mason vac jar, it stays fresh longer. BUT, I only get a OK vacuum with Breville 1 out of 5 tries. FORGET IT! And its a WEAK vacuum! Like Rady said, it needs to pumps, or a manual compatibility. These companies try and make things work only with the brand and it ruins such complications when the problem has been long before solved. Adopt such things I say...but nope, they screw it up like this.
