😊 I'm sitting here in the middle of the night at 65 years old, and it's my birthday, and this song pops into my head. Then, here is your comment! Happy New Year!!! 😍
It randomly popped into my head while I was at the grocery store this afternoon...and now it's stuck and driving me nuts. Granted, driving me nuts was already a short putt...
I totally agree, this was a great show! I just noticed your comment is 13 years old and you were 48. This makes us about the same age now,☮️ I am 62.😀 We were lucky to have TV like this growing up.
Elizabeth Montgomery and the Iffin' Song rocks. I love Bewitched. There is something really cool about the cheezy but groovy tunes that were created and thrown into the TV shows of the late 60s and early 70s. I can't believe that so many of the cast members of Bewitched have gone to the great cauldron in the sky. It remains a wonderful show in my heart. So glad I was born in 1960.
Witchstock was a love-in / concert in the 60s. All the best and hippest witches and warlocks were there! Serena of course. Juju Joplin, the Grateful Undead, and Jefferson Broomstick! It was a blast, better than the Cosmos Cotillion, groovy!
I think she meant Woodstock in 1969 in New York, it was a complete disaster it rained all 3 days, but that didn't stop people from going, so many people showed up they let them in free. Its a funny story the producers rented farmland, the locals wernt happy, there were mutipule overdoses from drugs, they did get some big time bands Janis Joplin Jimi Hendriks Jefferson Airplane, Crosby still nash & young. They said over 200,000 people were there. Google it see what a mess it was
Serena often disguised herself as Samantha. A part of this episode's plot was that Serena was originally mistaken for Samantha. For that to happen Serena (looking a lot like Samantha) is seen in the newspaper at a Sit-In and the Tate's think she's gone "hippie."
Yes. This was a great episode. In another episode, Samantha kind of brings trouble on herself when she asks Serena to be her, selling tickets 🎟. Well, Serena meets someone and, still as Samantha, goes out with the guy. A very funny episode.
I tried to dress like her & sing this song like her too!! I used to curl my hair with orange juice cans, to have her "hair flip" too-thanks 4 posting this gem of memories!!
I think the trick in those days was 'teasing', or as we call it today, back-combing. ( I loved that she had no part in her hair). I couldn't do it then and still can't do it now.
Exactly! I had no idea when I was a Kid that this Show was very popular in the LGBT Community because they knew what it was like to hide who you really were. So many Cast Members were Gay too. May God Bless them all.
looooooooool AMAZING! I love all the Bewitched's episodes. But sure all episodes with songs are special! Gosh, how I love Bewitched! Thank you veeeeery much for this!
When this episode ran originally, this song was used during the closing credits rather than the regular Bewitched theme. I wonder iffin' they'll leave it like that when the DVD is released.
I just thought of this song in the shower a minute ago, and here it is! The show was fun - but this song stands out as exceptionally cringeworthy, that's why I remembered it 40 years down the track! Thanks for the upload, and good on Montgomery for being prepared to put on such an embarrassing performance!
Oh wow I did something very similar. I was just in the kitchen making cookies and I was thinking about this song. I just had to come on hear it. Thank god there’s a TH-cam
LMFAO!!! One of my favourite episodes EVER!!! Cotton-top!! OMFG! LOL!! And remember the part where Larry notices Serena's guitar and he's like "Most guitars don't have all this psychotic paint all over them!" and Louise is like "That's psychadelic, dear!" I practically die laughing!
@@SaucyWench7 Hi Mary! :-) Thanks for saying hi and also for reminding me of this comment. I can't believe I've been on TH-cam for so long LOL. I haven't rewatched Bewitched in many years, but I think it's time to pull out the old DVDs lol.

This song was supposed to be a satire of everything "mod" and "hippie-ish", '33Mark'- and Liz understood this by having "Serena" sing it in a sly, subversive style...who cared if it didn't make sense {the song was also heard during the closing credits- the only time the regular theme WASN'T used at the end}? And the week this first aired {Feburary 1968}, she appeared on the cover of TV GUIDE wearing one of the "mod" fashions from that episode....

Of course we can never prove it, but Lizze proably being molested by the father over a long period of time. It finaly built up to where she could no longer take it, and the pent up rage came out. Emma proably new what she was going to do, that is why she made sure she was out of town. Emma may have also been a victim, but couldn't kill but vowed to keep the secret. Lizzie knew the stepmother would rat her out so she got her out of the way first. She never liked her anyway. Of course the money the sisters would inhierit was just a coup de gras.
