@Josh Metz I'll go even further. Both Jeannie & Jeannie II and Samantha & Serena, were based upon Patty & Cathy Lane, the identical cousins played by Patty Duke in "The Patty Duke Show," which was created by Sidney Sheldon ("I Dream of Jeannie") and William Asher ("Bewitched" - and, Liz's husband at the time, though the show was created by Sol Saks).
I was 10 when I saw this in 1970. To me, this was the grooviest thing I had ever seen. Serena, You ruined my life - but I wouldn't have it any other way. I loved you so... I've searched for you all my life; - the groovy, the witty, the slutty, daring, beautiful. . . brunette witch. So I'll buh-LOE You a Kiss... In the Wind. yeah I'll buh-LOE you a Kiss in the Wind. . . .
Elizabeth Montgomery said on an interview that she most enjoyed being able to act wild or like a clown - and the part of Serena allowed her to be the most uninhibited.
Although by 1970, when this episode was aired (though I am guessing it was filmed around late 1969), the psychedelic era had pretty much petered out. Also interesting that the episode paints Boyce & Hart as a hot group, when in reality, their popularity had ebbed by the turn of the decade. I thought Screen Gems had moved on to The Partridge Family by then.
Elizabeth Montgomery's real sons make guitars for a living. 'Tis true. They could have lived very nicely off the residuals from "Bewitched" - Elizabeth and her husband owned part of the show - but they chose to work for a living. Her daughter has a degree in English literature from UCLA. Nice, well-grounded people, from what I've seen and read about them. She would be proud.
Apocalypse Plough So true!! It's such shame that Elizabeth is gone. She would have grandchildren by now. (At least that's what I found out on Google.). Elizabeth was such a sweet lady! That's why she had such great kids! Rest in Peace Elizabeth. I love and miss you sooooo much!💗💗💗💗💗
I wonder whatever happened to the psychedelic looking guitar that was featured in a different epi. That would be an awesome piece of Bewitched memorabilia to have today!
I love Bewitched & Elizabeth Montgomery. The show was so carefree & fun with crazy characters.Since it was on the air when I was 4-12 I mainly remember it in reruns.RIP to them all.
Oh how I adore Serena. She's my hero! And that song kicks ass! Man, I wish I could've lived in the 60s and gotten a chance to meet Elizabeth Montgomery. She was all that back in those days!
I remember this from when it first aired. i've thought about it over the years because i really enjoyed it. Now after X amount of years it got to see and hear it again. Thank you.!!!!!
wow! Don't know how I happened upon this but I know a smash hit when I hear it! This should have been on a 45. This version that is, It's hard to remember the original now hehehe
Anni...i loved watching bewitched! i still watch it on dvd.I have seasons 1-5.Agnes moorehead is my fav followed closely by Elizabeth montgomery.Just adore this clip :-)
I LOVE bewitched it's the best show EVER! I'm only 14 and I LOVE IT! it's so sad that Elizabeth Montgomery had to pass away. Shes my role model. I love her so much. this show is amazing. they have to make a new one that has Erin Murphy(tabitha) as Samantha. Make it just like this one. Same story, same type of quality and everything. I LOVE U ELIZABETH! UR AMAZING! (ik she can't see 😭😭😭😭😭)
This was always one of my fav. I always loved any time Elizabeth Mongomery sang and when she played Serena. I also have to admit that when I little I didn't realize how racy Blowin in the wind was. Now that I am an adult revisiting this video. I'm taking a lot of joy hearing this song with new eyes, so to speak. thanks and God Bless.
MARVELLOUS! A truly "Bewitched" classic scene! Thank you so much to share this with us! One of the best videos from the show on TH-cam! THAAAAAAANK YOOOOOOOU! Five stars, for sure!
I love this episode! There was one other episode where Sam played piano. I checked wikipedia and I didn't see any reference to her as a musician [not to be confused with a singer by the same name]. I know she is miming playing the guitar [as she mimed playing the piano], but I'm guessing that that is her voice, and she certainly has the moves and the rhythm to be a mucisian!
Thank you so much, i just watched the episode and enjoyed it ,The Mrs Kravitz types would be a welcome blessing today (watching out for the neighborhood)
:: Thanks for the heads-up on this, Mr Bruce, and thank YOU, andreaariasm, for uploading this bewitched gem. Man, the bass is outreal! What a great little ditty. Funnily enough, Serena's part was always creditted as being played by a Pandora Spocks, obviously a take-off on Pandora's box. Instant Facebook re-post ~ (•8-D
Redd Kross' version of "Blow You A Kiss" totally ROCKS! I have it on an LP that I bought when the album first came out in the 1980's! "Teen Babes from Monsanto" was originally going to be called, "Cosmos Cotillion". It's true!
It is on the Teen Babes from Monsanto lp. All covers, it has never been reissued on CD. Well, except for coming out in Australia as a Bonus disk to another release, good luck finding that! It is a great LP!
Elizabeth Montgomery was nominated for several Emmys and Golden Globes for Bewitched but never won. That's a shame, she was a marvelous performer.
Yes agree😢❤
She was definitely jipped!!!
Serena was so much fun❤️
I always loved this song. Whoever wrote it, well done.....Elizabeth played Serena divinely....
I believe Boyce and Hart wrote it.
She was played by Pandora Spocks...lol!
@@gretchennelson7056yep
I always wanted to be Serena
One of my favorite episodes of Bewitched. Elizabeth Montgomery was truly talented.
She really was....I wish she did more singing performances.
loved every episode with Serena!
Sunny I know, she was just as sexy as she was elegant, I'd have chosen her to marry over Samantha...
@Josh Metz Barbara Eden's evil sister was created as a result of Serena.
@Josh Metz I'll go even further. Serena,
You ruined my life - but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I loved you so...
I've searched for you all my life;
- the groovy, the witty, the slutty, daring, beautiful. . .
brunette witch.
So I'll
buh-LOE
You a Kiss...
In the Wind.
yeah I'll
buh-LOE
you a Kiss
in the Wind. . . .
Never get tired of Bewitched no matter how many times I watch it.
Damn! That's just plain groovy!! 👍👏😂😍
Elizabeth Montgomery was the most beautiful woman to ever grace our tv screens...and still is...
Elizabeth Montgomery said on an interview that she most enjoyed being able to act wild or like a clown - and the part of Serena allowed her to be the most uninhibited.
I love when she walks while she is singing.. she dances nicely haha.
I love that too...she did it all and was so cool😎♥️
Yeh, me too
It's such a pity that Dick York is no longer Darren in this episode, would have loved to see his facial reactions on this one. Always cracks me up
+boredlikeaboss
Sadly though, he was gay.
+rick charles Dick Sargent was gay not Dick York.
+rick charles the second darrin was gay. Not Dick York
boredlikeaboss omg yes Dick York had the best facial reactions
Dick York was awesome! His facial expressions were brilliant.
One of my absolute favorite episodes!
Serena rocks 🪨 🎸 ❤
I love Serena, dancing and singing. Thanks
When serena sang I'll blow you a kiss in the wind was my favorite episode it was so cool loved it
Call me nuts but this is not bad for that psychedelic era. I loved Serena!!
Although by 1970, when this episode was aired (though I am guessing it was filmed around late 1969), the psychedelic era had pretty much petered out. Also interesting that the episode paints Boyce & Hart as a hot group, when in reality, their popularity had ebbed by the turn of the decade. Me too
Welcome to the nut farm because I liked it too.
This was horrible
notgrillo collector/ gamer that was the best era.
now this is what music should song lie...:) Serena is an awesome singer and her voice its this song perfect!!!
Man this is make me really miss the 60s so much great music and TV
Love this clip! Love the cast. One of the best shows of the 60's. Thank God for youtube so I can watch Serena at her grooviest while at work!!
The best thing about this clip, after Serena's rocking out of course, is how Sam is loving it, but trying to act like she 's not.
Largo3point0 it love herself
Elizabeth Montgomery you were phenomenal in the World they had no clue your value. A priceless diamond. So many of us love and we're here with in 2024
She was just gorgeous.
I wish I could tell Elizabeth how much I loved Serena & this song. I’m in my 60’s now, that’s staying power!!
Always a favorite!
Elizabeth Montgomery's real sons make guitars for a living. 'Tis true. +Apocalypse Plough interesting, what guitar company? Do you know the name?
Apocalypse Plough So true!! It's such shame that Elizabeth is gone. She would have grandchildren by now. (At least that's what I found out on Google.). Elizabeth was such a sweet lady! That's why she had such great kids! Rest in Peace Elizabeth. I love and miss you sooooo much!💗💗💗💗💗
*****
Bill Asher Guitars.
Yep, just Bill Asher, Jr. makes guitars. I have no idea what Robert does for a living. The man keeps a very low profile.
I wonder whatever happened to the psychedelic looking guitar that was featured in a different epi. That would be an awesome piece of Bewitched memorabilia to have today!
I loved Serena doing this song. Elizabeth was so beautiful...
I think I'm the 236,000 views because I've literally listened to this song 282628236727282828 times ITS AMAZING! ELIZABETH IS GREAT! 💜💜💜💜💜💜
I know its good
Serena is my favorite character on the show... She always looks good in a miniskirt.
This hasn't dated at all, just as fresh and fun and groovy as it must have been in 1970.
It has dated of course, but it doesn't matter.
The woman knew how to wear a skirt.
walkermydawg and legs! She knew how to wear legs
walkermydawg yes indeed, but also elegant fur and feather pieces too...
I will be 60 in May next year and I had the biggest crush on Samantha growing up I loved her and I think that she was a truly awesome actress!
While your statement may be true, she's wearing a dress in this clip, not a skirt.
walkermydawg
This is when women acted like a lady, today they are all a bunch of Ronda Roussey's. Just pathetic.
I remember watching Bewitched when I was a kid and always had a crush for Serena. So very cool, rock on Serena! Meow!!!
I love Bewitched & Elizabeth Montgomery. The show was so carefree & fun with crazy characters.Since it was on the air when I was 4-12 I mainly remember it in reruns.RIP to them all.
Liz was great in the dual role on Bewitched
Jerry Watkins ,hey she tried her best anyway...
I loved the name they used for Elizabeth Montgomery as Serena. They credited her as Pandora Spocks.
Jerry Watkins I was surprised at how she can be so flirtatious when she look so innocent.
Yep, and how many people didn't (1) realise Elizabeth Montgomery IS 'Pandora Spocks', or, (2) that the name is a play upon 'Pandora's Box'. 😉
I had to admit for years I thought it was Endora singing this song, not knowing this was a Serena episode.
Oh how I adore Serena. She's my hero!
And that song kicks ass!
Man, I wish I could've lived in the 60s and gotten a chance to meet Elizabeth Montgomery. She was all that back in those days!
I loved this song as a child!
dam shame she didn't win an Emmy she was a hell of an actress
i love how sam makes the guitar dissapear and how she and serena pop out, just with a motion of her head! classic
Quite possibly the best video on the entire interweb.
I remember this from when it first aired. i've thought about it over the years because i really enjoyed it. Now after X amount of years it got to see and hear it again. Thank you.!!!!!
I loved this song. It's great 👍
She played the part of Serena and Samantha so well that, it is hard to believe that both are played by the same person
Serena was smokin' hot!! What a little vixen!!
MrRandomola she was sexy, they say Elizabeth Montgomery husband love Serena she would keep the outfit on
How i love this show!
I loved the segment when it 1st came out in the 70's. Elizabeth Montgomery was my crush
Love this!! You go Serena.
I love it Serena!! And I love you!! ❤
One of television's legendary moments. I was thrilled when this episode debuted -- prime time! LOL...
was my favorite episode when I was small, was so groovy✌
This is real Magic... joy from my childhood..
As a 12 year old, I loved this song for some reason. I give Serena props.
I Love, Love, Love that episode,that song!!!!!!!!!!!😃😃😃
its so funny I replayed it over and over again HAHA
JUST AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!
wow! Don't know how I happened upon this but I know a smash hit when I hear it! This should have been on a 45. This version that is, It's hard to remember the original now hehehe
it was...by Boyce and Hart...
I prefer this to the B&H version.
Such a great song!!
she rocks, i loved it!
Anni...i loved watching bewitched! i still watch it on dvd.I have seasons 1-5.Agnes moorehead is my fav followed closely by Elizabeth montgomery.Just adore this clip :-)

they did make some weird remake with the grown-up Tabitha! It sucked; too bad!
they did make some weird remake with the grown-up Tabitha! It sucked; too bad!
+Eric luriergo didn't she grow a lot in the four years ? lol
CeCe P. Lol I was 14 when this was new.
CeCe P. Um ok I’m also 14 and um we need to be best friends right now!!😂 because SAME!😂♥️
This is my favorite episode of Bewitched. I think she did quite well on the song; it's catchy.
I Love ❤️ 60’s Fashion & Music
This was always one of my fav. I always loved any time Elizabeth Mongomery sang and when she played Serena. I also have to admit that when I little I didn't realize how racy Blowin in the wind was. I wanted and still want to be Serena! Beautiful with full magical powers, able to get any man and leave them with in the moon dust.
Serena rocks!
The second Darrin had no sense of humour whatsoever. He's actually grumpy all the time!
Wait a minute....Dick Sargent, Dick York. Sargent York. Weird, huh?
ha! 🙌 good one, stormy❕
I'm not too crazy about the 2nd Darren...like you said, he's always grumpy. I enjoyed the first Darren...he was a better actor for the role.
Renee Bloggs that's what I like about him he brought a different element to the show.
He was like that in real life as well. Hated working with Agnes Morehead.
hey! thanx for sharing this classic scene! i'm a BIG bewitched and Elizabeth Montgomery fan!!!
LOVE THIS SONG! GREAT SONG!
I love this song!!
notice how Serina says, "how do you LOVE it?" not shy at all
Back to watch for about the 25th time! great stuff .
Elizabeth was way ahead of her time regarding her stance on social issues.
well, if Bewitched started out fairly conservative in the mid 60's it definitely ended quite liberal in the early 70's!
Give the rockin' Elizabeth Montgomery the Emmy she never got right now!
I Love this episode where Elizabeth sings.. She really reached the younger generation this way. :-)
Fantastic. Just utterly fantastic.
serena the most cool singer
Fantastic LADY, Fantastic song. one of my favorites:)
Serena was my fav character on the show!!
quentin tarantino says this is the single greatest moment in TV history.
I read this somewhere, too.
Liz LOVED doing the part of Serena. She got tired of being a goodie-goodie,and YES she does have GREAT legs!
MARVELLOUS!
A truly "Bewitched" classic scene!
Thank you so much to share this with us!
One of the best videos from the show on TH-cam!
THAAAAAAANK YOOOOOOOU!
Five stars, for sure!
She was a beautiful and talented woman.
Simply the bomb!!
She was the original Debbie Harry !
Not to mention "the greatest moment in the history of television", as proclaimed by Quentin Tarantino.
I wanted to be Serena when I grew up. She was the fun one!
I still 💘 you Serena!!!
Thank you so much, i just watched the episode and enjoyed it ,The Mrs Kravitz types would be a welcome blessing today (watching out for the neighborhood)
How can Derwood think that's not good? And her little dance while she sings and plays! I loved it as a kid and now love it as an adult
Yay!There are still people who are smart enough to reconize ungly rumors! ;)I still love this song by the way...:}
oh my gosh, i jst love the moves, it's jst so old school to the point that u jst can't hate it! u jst gotta love it! lol!
:: Thanks for the heads-up on this, Mr Bruce, and thank YOU, andreaariasm, for uploading this bewitched gem. Man, the bass is outreal! What a great little ditty. I like this song!
Redd Kross' version of "Blow You A Kiss" totally ROCKS!
