The thing that made these vintage shows so fantastic and appealing and endearing (Bewitched, Andy Griffith, Waltons, Beverly Hillbillies, Little House on the Prairie, and pretty much anything from that era) is how they made the viewer wish to be part of that family, or want to be best friends with the characters and be a part of their world. That kind of detail has been sorely lacking in most of modern day television for a looooooong time, now. Those old shows were the best----- interesting plots and clean, respectable dialogue. Good stuff.
The look Sam gives Endora is a of a daughter proud of her mother! Sam loves being a witch and loves when her mother is doing or undoing a spell. Shear pride!
To her credit, Endora was the best grandmama. She loved Tabitha and Adam before their powers were confirmed. Endora never said bad things about Darrin in front of them.

I don't know what the moms are like on TV these days because I never watch modern TV, but I sure liked the TV moms in the 60's and 70's.
