So idk if it was a combination of things or what but yesterday I was 39 weeks and 5 days. Used my birth ball a lot during the day just because it helped my hip pain. Went for a long walk. And made the midwives tea (unique flavor btw lol). Went to bed around 10. Woke up the next morning at 5 with painful contractions. Got to the hospital at 7 was already 6 cm dilated!! Delivered by 9! First baby too. It went by so quickly. *update* just had my second baby 18 months later (close age gap I know). Followed everything I did the first time. Total labor this time around??? 1 hour 9 minutes!!!!! Ladies I’m telling you walking is literally the best thing!!! If you are not high risk and it is safe for you to do (I’m aware walking is not safe for all pregnancies I’m just sharing what worked for me) just walk. I only did 30 minutes this time around a couple times a week. I also have a 18 month old who kept me plenty busy my whole pregnancy but I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. My baby was born 40 weeks and 1 day at 6.9 lbs. My water broke at 1232 am along with my mucus plug. Got to the hospital at 1255 he was born by 1:09 am.
afrah quadri walking a lot helps! My doctor told me going on my daily walks is what really made the difference in my labor. I’d walk around 5 days a week for about 30-45 minutes depending how I was feeling. Really helped especially during this pandemic just getting out for a walk is refreshing.
Hi when did you start drinking the tea and using the ball? I need to have this baby right before 39w2d (csection) I’m going for a VBAC and have reasons why I can’t go past 39 weeks. Any advice would be appreciated.
Meg hey! So I started using the ball I think I ordered it around 38ish weeks (maybe 37) to really help with my hip pain to start but I started using it every day just for normal stuff like if I was watching tv I’d do hip circles on the ball instead of sitting on the couch. I made the midwives tea at 39 weeks 4 days. Drank it that night. And the next morning was in full labor didn’t even realize it until I got to the hospital I was already 6 cm dilated. I also walked almost every day which my doctor said really helped as well as ate the dates every day.
Maggie Parr thanks for the reply! I need to have this baby before my scheduled csection by 39 weeks so I’m hoping to start the tea by 38 weeks or so ! I ordered a yoga ball too! Thanks for the tips
1. Let go of fears 2. Hypo birthing/affirmations/meditation: body will follow mind 3. Exercise/be active 4. Birth ball 5. Acupressure (shin and hand) a couple of minutes every couple of hours 6. Nipple stimulation:5 min each side with 5 min break in middle for half hour: should be enjoyable 7. Essential oils: Clary sage and rosemary 8. Castor oil: 1 tbs every 24 hrs; stay hydrated bc of side effects 9. Midwives brew drink (recipe on video) 10. Sex
@@HisSnuggleBear18 there is no sufficient evidence proving that castor oil causes babies to pass meconium especially when taken in small amounts like suggested in this video. There is, however, sufficient evidence to suggest that babies with an older gestational age or that are in distress are more likely to pass meconium. Typically, people trying castor oil are already “overdue” and are already more likely to have that happen. It’s a coincidental thing, not necessarily linked to the castor oil. I delivered at 41+5 with my first who passed meconium. I never tried castor oil.
@@raynecopeland9256 I agree! First baby was 41 weeks and passed meconium no castor oil. 2nd baby 40 weeks no poop. 3rd baby 40+5 plus castor oil passed meconium. All were fine and released a day or two after delivery.
Bridget, your videos have been a treasure trove of forbidden knowledge! I've always been terrified of having a baby, and you've given me such confidence with my upcoming birth- I can't thank you enough. Peace, love and light to you!
I watched this video on a Friday night when my baby was 39w6d, I wanted to start labor, not wanting to be overdue or induced, I tried the tips, and I had my blood show on Saturday morning, my contraction started mild from Saturday morning, and getting stronger and stronger, I went to hospital to check to Check on Saturday night but only 1cm dilated so I was sent back, however, my contraction didn’t stop, it increased from Saturday midnight till Sunday noontime, it was very painful by Sunday noontime so I called and went to hospital, when I arrived hospital I was checked and told I was 7cm dilated! 4hours later, I had my cutest baby in my arm. I used the breathe techniques that Bridget taught and it worked. Bridget had informative and great videos, thank you Bridgett! ❤
"Labor Cocktail" worked amazing! My water broke at 40 weeks in the middle of the night, no contractions before or after. Went to my midwives the next day and we spent alot of the day trying different exersizes and natural ways to get contractions going, and nothing. Eventually, we whipped up the nasty beverage and we sat in the family room relaxing and exactly an hour later I got my first contraction. It was the best buildup to birth ever, just sat back and watched documentaries with ny husband and brought take out for supper, waiting to be dilated enough and baby was born 4.5 hours after that first contraction, it was great and im so thankful.
This is the end of my journey. It's been a hell of a ride , would do it all over again and again. Going to miss these days. Can't wait till I meet my baby girl Good luck everyone
Hi Bridget! I just wanted to say that your videos have helped me a lot during labor and delivery. I did most of these tips and the birthing ball exercises you've recommended and had active labor pains within 2hrs and had a normal delivery 5hrs after. My birthing experience was so much better this time around, thanks to your tips! ♡
Dear Bridget, during my pregnancy I watched your videos on youtube and practiced with you. I gave birth 6 weeks ago and it was a beautiful experience. 3 hours after arriving at the hospital I had already given birth to a healthy, beautiful baby boy. The pain started at night around 4, at 5 my water broke, at 7 I was in the hospital, at 10 the boy was born. I followed your breathing exercises. Doula was beautiful, she led me through labor in a relaxed way and just said that I need to breat calmly and bring air to my stomach as hard as possible. I gave birth in a couple of push ups. No epidural and no injuries. My doula told me when to push and when to stop, which is why I didn't have any injuries, and this was my first birth! Thank you so much❤️
The birthing ball worked. I tried doing that one evening... When I was about to go to bed.. Labor started.. And it progressed really fast. Total labor 7 hours
How long did you do it for ? I am 37 weeks and 7 days and got the green light from my doctor due to pain and baby making me dehydrated plus I am ready I can barely walk lol
If you’re not 37 weeks or more PLEASE do NOT try to induce yourself. You are not full term!!! Also, baby will come when they’re ready to come. Don’t force your baby to do anything it’s not ready to do. Exercise is the only thing i would suggest. Walk!
Miracle Mincy ACOG defines full term as 39 weeks, so I agree, baby will come when they’re ready! Also, labor is proven to be shorter when baby comes on their own!
@@vijayalakshmiabimannan9435 If you're in pain, see your midwife. I had SI joint pain throughout my pregnancy and saw a chiropractor, used a hot rice sock, bath tub, sat on an exercise ball to relieve pain. You're in the home stretch!
@@littleblueprintwritinghood192 Where I'm from you would've been induced already. They do it at 41 weeks, 42 big big top otherwise there is more risk of complications from what I understood.
My midwife said that castor oil is dangerous because it may work but if it makes your stomach run its likely to make babies tummy run and them pooing in the womb can be extremely dangerous for them so i would rather stay away from castor oil but the other tips sound great. Thank you for this and for all your other videos :)
Its seems women at 40+ weeks have a higher chance of baby passing pooh than one taking 1tbsp of castor oil! I’ve done it and other women I know have done it and baby came out great! No pooh, But if ur midwife said don’t do it I agree YOU shouldn’t do it!! 😊
Used castor oil with great success for my 10 day over due baby. (Previous baby went 42+6) so I took matters into my own hands. My sister did it with equally happy results
Thank you very much! Your tips/videos really helped me. Especially when I'm in labor. I went to the hospital and I'm 5cm dilated already didn't even feel too much pain. My baby came out at 6cm and only one push. This is my first pregnancy by the way.
@@rosea164you can go your entire pregnancy with no stretch marks but the moment the baby comes out & your tummy shrinks a little the stretch marks will appear. Speaking from experience
Thanks so much for those great tips! I am 39 weeks and 4 days pregnant and while a week ago I was like please stay in, now I am way too excited for her to finally lay in my arms. Let's get this started! :)
Loved this video! 😄👏🏻👏🏻 Cheering on a friend of mine who is almost at 41 weeks with her 2nd baby (first one also took her sweet time!) She is really hoping Not to be induced 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I shared this video with her and just finished watching it myself. Hoping we will go walking together tomorrow 🤰
She saved the best for last LOL !!!! This video was fun, tons of info, and very calming to listen to. Thank you for this definitely put my mind at ease.
I’ve tried almost everything in this video & here I am on my due date still pregnant. Castor oil doesn’t work. I had a whole bottle & still no dehydration, no diarrhea, no vomiting. Baby still moving perfect fine. Literally laying in bed depressed because I’m tired of being pregnant. I want this baby out of me now.

38 weeks 5 days and struggling with pelvic pain. It's better since going to the chiropractor but I am still so limited with my mobility it makes me nervous for labor. My first pregnancy was smooth and pain free, minus normal birthing pains. This pregnancy was smooth until month 7 when the groin pain started and got bad fast.
Yeppp this is me exactly. I’m 40w 1 day. The pelvic pain for me also started at the end f pregnancy- was a perfect normal pregnancy up until this point! But bet has also been head down since the first ultrasound & she has not changed positions. It is hard to walk as the evening comes - the day it is doable but not pain free completely.
Same! Second baby and have pelvic pain. I'm 35 weeks 5 days pregnant now. Going to chiropractor this week... and going to start doing all of these things at 37 weeks because I'm so over being pregnant😅
Honestly I’m 38 week pregnant and feel great lol I’m just praying all things go well. I’m grateful for the breathing techniques and I’m going to try without meds
I'm 41 weeks now... hoping and praying for my baby to come out anytime soon. Can't do no. 10 though because my husband is a frontliner and we're currently miles apart.
You are absolutely delightful to listen, watch and learn from. May your days always be sunny and bright and how lucky your birthing moms are !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just want to thank you Bridget. I watched your videos and did most of your tips and just like magic, it worked and I got through my first delivery which was normal and short (5hrs). You are a life saver! Bless you and hope you can help more mommas ❤️
I'm exactly 38 weeks and have an induction booked at 41 weeks but want to do anything to avoid it so I can have a natural birth! Going to start trying these asap!
I love you, Bridget. May all moms' labor go smoothly. Your tips helped me last time, and I'm praying everything goes well this time, too. I'm very nervous and fearful, though.
I will be trying all of these induction tips starting 37 weeks. I typically wouldn’t so early but I’m scheduled for either an induction or C-section depending on size scans around 34 weeks. My youngest son was almost 10 lbs and I’m tiny only 4”11. Luckily we both had a safe and healthy delivery, but he was born with shoulder dystocia, so we think his little brother is walking in his footsteps already weighting in at 4lbs at 30 weeks 91 percentile! They predict him to be another 10 lbs. To avoid the scary experience we had with his brother, it’s safer to be induced at a younger gestational age. Being a mom of 4, walking, essential oils, yoga and all natural ways are very safe to do as early as 36. They don’t necessarily induce, but more of a body preparation for when you are ready to naturally labor. I wouldn’t suggest Castro oil or nipple stimulation, as those can be dangerous and causes distress on the fetus. So, unless you receive the green light from your doctor, avoid.
I just want to say your videos helped me a lot! Exercise and dates made my labor fast and easy at 39 weeks and 5/7 days . Also hydration and relaxation
Midwives brew helped me. I drink it at 8pm, my water broke on its own at 3:30am and my son was born at 7am. I didn’t even know I was in labor until my water broke.
Seriously love your videos. I found your channel a couple weeks ago. Your videos are so supportive and informative. Thank you! I'm almost 36 weeks pregnant and can't wait to meet my baby body.
@4:36 it Takes *40+weeks * for complete development of babies...however Medical healthCare for their Own Convenience and ease will try to induce your body at 37weeks please focus on completing 41weeks and keep excercising ,eat Dates hydrate yourself and prepare for PostPartum
I've worked in L&D for 20 years. We love birthing balls and peanut balls ( birthing balls shaped like a peanut) for our laboring moms. They do wonders to open the pelvis and allow baby to get into position for birth.
DON'T TAKE THE MIDWIVES BREW. I was exactly 41 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I was scared of being induced so I decided to make this brew. One hour after drinking it, I had diarrhea, nausea and a storm of contractions. This storm of contractions never stopped, it lasted until the birth, which was exhausting and painful. My birthing experience was pretty traumatic, partly due to this brew and other factors. I advise all of you to avoid this brew. I truly regret taking it. From a new mom based in The Netherlands's.
I’m at almost 40 weeks and NOTHING is working. I am so ready for him to be out, my body hurts all the time and sometimes he makes me anxious like when I can’t feel him and then suddenly he has hiccups
I'm 38 and feel similar! You keep isolated and don't let anyone bully you into seeing the baby til you're ready! I don't plan on letting anyone visit for quite some time!!
I live in central Europe and it’s not really commonly used by midwives. We even don’t have such ingredients in grocery shops ;) but the castor oil is used sometimes ;) love your videos during my first time journey!
I heard the version of it with peanut butter and orange juice instead of almond butter and apricot juice 😊 but I'm not gonna try it anyway, sounds awful 😅
Omg seems like yesterday I was watching this videos, preparing for my baby girl 🥹💓. I induced by using my breast pump on each breast for 5mins. She was born 9hrs later.
39 weeks here - just want other moms to know that walking isnt easy for me, and hasnt been for a while. Even going very slow I experience round ligament pain/back pain and really struggle. I find light barre blend exercises combined with strength training much much easier on my body.
This! This is exactly what I’m going through right now and I’m only 36 weeks atm 😭 people keep telling me “you need to push thru it to get used to it!” But It’s been so difficult for me to adjust
I used clary sage with my first baby plan to use it again I rubbed it into my abdomen as well as took a bath with it I swear by that stuff!! Fun fact clary sage was used back in biblical times as a natural induction like pitocin. Not only does it help labor not hurt as much it helps relax the body and it makes contractions become consistent and powerful and over all it’s an amazing thing to use and get everything moving. I also did diffuse it in the hospital while in labor and it helped the entire process I will be using it again for baby #2 which is coming up and I’m glad you know about this amazing product but anyone watching this video understand clary sage should only be used when baby is full term because it is very effective and you don’t want to force labor when baby isn’t ready ! Also last fun fact pitocin comes from the root of clary sage oil clary sage is a natural pitocin it gets the oxytocin chemicals in labor to start producing at a higher level.
I’m 38+3 days and I’m ready for labor to start. I only have 11 days left, praying for patience 😄🙏🏽 as this is my first! I had cerclage removed at 37 weeks and thought she would come out immediately, but she’s comfortable.
Try to only use these if it is past 39.6 weeks guys. You're only in early term before then. Let your baby's brain and lungs continue to develope those few weeks
I've been doing so many things to get our baby girl out... 40 weeks tomorrow with my third pregnancy. I've been active during my whole pregnancy (walking, yoga, bycicle), tried acupuncture, drank rasberry leaf tes, ate dates, had sex, been sitting on the ball for weeks, baby is in perfect position... We tried to do a membrane sweep today and I was only 1.5cm dilated and 50% effaced, she didn't manage to do the sweep. With my son and daughter I was way more effaced and dilated at the same time in pregnancy. I'm getting desperate.
Stresses me out to see so many comments of doctors wanting to induce so many women for no medical reason before 40 weeks. 😥 causing unnecessary stress and harm to baby and mother. Mother’s have the voice to decline inductions. Due Dates are estimated, only 5% of babies come on the day of due date and most women go into labor naturally after 41 weeks. We need to normalize full term births and births after 41 weeks.
Full term is considered 37w now, you can request an induction at 38-39 weeks. 41 weeks is over due and past term. It's perfectly safe to deliver after 37w because their lungs are fully developed by then. I have 3 kids and went into labor at 38w with the first 2 and 35w with my last, and only my last one was considered preterm.
I have delivered all my 3 babies safely a fews days after 41 week. Healthy babies. On another one the forced to induce me and it almost killed me and the baby cause it just wasn't time yet
I'm 40+4 and I just want this girl out!!! If she does not decide to come out within the next few days i have to go get a sweep done and I dont want that!! That's why I'm here 😭😭
Try moving with SPD. It's next to impossible when i can't even lift my legs up onto a curb or into a shower. Everything except that one piece of advice is helpful
I tried midwives brew to start my last labor and it worked for me. I was facing a medical induction and since I desired an unmedicated birth I preferred to avoid pitocin so I tried drinking it before going to bed and I woke up with early labor contractions 3 hours later. He was born the next afternoon
Pls dear educate me on that Midwives brew pls and pls..Am 37weeks with twins and my doctor is looking at inducing me by friday but I sincerely don't want that,I just wish my babies will come on their own cause I desire a vaginal birth...Pls help me
Nearly the same exact story for me, except I drank it around 5:30 pm, went into labor at 6 and my water broke at 9, gave birth at 4:32 AM. I had been scheduled to be induced at 9 that morning 😅
The one thing I’ve learned after 5 kids is that labour will start when baby is ready. You can try anything and everything but if baby isn’t ready it won’t work. I went overdue with 3/5 kids. My 5th was late and I had three sweeps and tried everything except castor oil.
Absolutely true. Baby will decide their due date. I went 42+5 with my second and had a perfectly fine birth and no induction. Currently 40+3 with my third and as much as I'd like this baby to exit, I just need to be patient. Due dates cause ridiculous and unnecessary stress.
I am a doctor and I only agree with the following steps: 1. Let go of fears 2. Meditation: body will follow mind 3. Exercise/be active 4. Birth ball 6. Nipple stimulation:5 min each side with 5 min break in middle for half hour: should be enjoyable 10. Sex
I have appreciated your videos, very helpful in preparing for birth. Please don't use castor oil and maybe you should add some ever bigger warnings about it. My sister took castor oil on recommendation of her midwife and had super long and very painful labor. Basically she had contractions that did not progress her labor and eventually had to be transferred from the birth center to a hospital. If you read about the dangers and risks of castor oil they are much too high for this to be considered a safe way to induce labor.
Letting go of fears when everyone around you is pressuring you to get induced and worried and giving you unsolicited advice and your o.b is doomsday 😤 if everyone would leave me alone that'd be great. I'm so anxious and nervous because of the outer environment around me. The first step I'm having a hard time with. I will try the meditations
I feel the same way…. Wish everyone around me could stop giving me their own advice or thoughts! 39 weeks now for me hope you had a successful delivery
I hope you were able to wait it out!! It is soooo frustrating how pushy drs can be to induce. I went to 42+1 and 41+4 with 2 of my babies. They just needed longer to cook and I think that is totally normal! “Full term” is different for every woman!
I took castor oil and doctors were not happy for that. Because I got intense diarrhea which went through the whole labor. The other side effect was I got intense pain at start and I was not dilated even I was in pain like hell.
I cannot believe Im still pregnant I've been depressed and it's hard to go to sleep . It's got uncomfortable and heartburn is worse 38 wks. He will never come I'm sick sick sick and tired of being pregnant like omg Ive been praying even though it never works lol
I used caster oil with my last bub and he had meconium in his water when born via c section due to failure to progress as he wasn’t engaged. I won’t do it again!!
@@pakistanifaimlyincanadavlo9567 be careful if the baby swallows the first poop this can cause extreme issues. The castor oil can make baby poop before time to come out. Very dangerous. Be blessed.
Anam Shazadi hey just checking On you. What did you end up doing ? I’m 38 weeks and tomorrow I’ll be 39 weeks. Scheduled to be induced Monday since my son is getting too big. This is my 5th pregnancy and is the first time I stay pregnant this long. I’m very uncomfortable. So far I have 3 days doing Primrose Oil pills 2,000 orally and 2,000 insertes vaginally. I am 3cm open and baby is at 2 effaced.... BUT I started contractions at 28 weeks; at that time it was dangerous and we were trying to keep him from being born by limiting my daily activity. NOW we are ready but he is taking a while and I feel my cervix is taking forever!!!! Blessings to you and have a speedy recovery.
It has actually been proven that castor oil doesn’t cross the blood-brain barrier so the baby doesn’t get any of the medicine. Meconium can happen at any point with or without castor oil. The way that castor oil works is that it affects the smooth muscles of the body and that would be the intestines and uterus. Some people think that castor oil works because of the contracting of the intestines but the oil is making the uterus contract even without intestinal constructions.
Definitely will try the tips here, 36W+4D now, I am drinking raspberry leaf tea, I noticed if drinking two bags a day, the braxton hicks is getting more obvious and intense, so I decide to drink only 1 bag a day for now and drink 2 bags a day after 37 weeks, then walking and use the essential oil, try the hypothesis. At 39 weeks, I will drink the midwife brew tea and then see what happens. If I am going to hospital early as I have GBS positive, gonna take the antibiotic, I will bring all these natural induction tools to prevent medical induction. Thank you so much for sharing knowledge and experience in such a clear way with all the shopping guidance too!

Just a word of warning to anyone wanting to try the labor cocktail. **trigger** It works. Really well. The contractions started 2 hrs after I drank it and started hard and fast. My placenta started to abrupt and we both almost died. I don’t recommend. Please don’t do this. And I didn’t even vomit or have diarrhea. Just very violent contractions. Please please just wait for natural labor if you can or ask your doctor to induce you.
my midwife also advised staying away from castor oil because it can cause contractions that come too fast and too strong (since it causes a lot of uproar in your digestive system it can kickstart contractions) BUT it can cause a ton of stress on the baby so they can't get oxygen and can cause a lot of other issues for baby.
Is there any research to support that? The only research I read on castor oil indicates it's very effective in starting labor however causes nausea in women, but nothing to the extent of what you're saying

I hope to have your luck, I'm currently pregnant and terrified!!!
afrah quadri walking a lot helps!
1. Let go of fears
2. Hypo birthing/affirmations/meditation: body will follow mind
3. Exercise/be active
4. Birth ball
5. Acupressure (shin and hand) a couple of minutes every couple of hours
6. Nipple stimulation:5 min each side with 5 min break in middle for half hour: should be enjoyable
7. Essential oils: Clary sage and rosemary
8. Castor oil: 1 tbs every 24 hrs; stay hydrated bc of side effects
9. Midwives brew drink (recipe on video)
10. Sex
It always bothers me when castor oil is recommended because it can cause baby to have a bm in utero and the brew has castor oil as well.
@@HisSnuggleBear18 baby's also have bms with no castor oil consumed lol. It's not because of the castor oil, it doesn't even transfer to the baby

@@raynecopeland9256 I agree! First baby was 41 weeks and passed meconium no castor oil. 2nd baby 40 weeks no poop. 3rd baby 40+5 plus castor oil passed meconium. All were fine and released a day or two after delivery.

Can't wait till I meet my baby girl
Good luck everyone
Thank you so much❤️
I hv done all efforts including caster oil but pain😂

The birthing ball worked. I tried doing that one evening... When I was about to go to bed.. Labor started.. And it progressed really fast. Total labor 7 hours

@@memembi nope. I was already 6cm dilated when I reached the hospital. It was game time before I knew it.

I'm 42weeks and he just ain't ready,,,so will he just not come on his own?
I am 37 to 38 weeks can I induce my labor pain.. plzz tell something
You are right. Castor oil is really not the best idea
This is inspiring. Thank you for this comment, and congratulations! 🎉

I'm exactly 38 weeks and have an induction booked at 41 weeks but want to do anything to avoid it so I can have a natural birth! Going to start trying these asap!
How did it go? Did you need an induction at all?

I've worked in L&D for 20 years. We love birthing balls and peanut balls ( birthing balls shaped like a peanut) for our laboring moms. They do wonders to open the pelvis and allow baby to get into position for birth.
Katz Women's Hospital in NYC doesn't provide peanut balls unfortunately
DON'T TAKE THE MIDWIVES BREW.
I was exactly 41 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I was scared of being induced so I decided to make this brew. One hour after drinking it, I had diarrhea, nausea and a storm of contractions. This storm of contractions never stopped, it lasted until the birth, which was exhausting and painful. My birthing experience was pretty traumatic, partly due to this brew and other factors. I advise all of you to avoid this brew. I truly regret taking it. From a new mom based in The Netherlands's.
Thx for sharing ❤️

That’s awesome! I didn’t know it was used in the Biblical times

😵💫I’m so scared the planned mine at 36 weeks am perfectly healthy
Are you a doctor? Weird to say for no reason.
I just want this baby out now the pain is too immense I’m sick I don’t sleep eating is a struggle I’m 38 weeks I need this baby out now

The one thing I’ve learned after 5 kids is that labour will start when baby is ready. You can try anything and everything but if baby isn’t ready it won’t work. I went overdue with 3/5 kids. My 5th was late and I had three sweeps and tried everything except castor oil.
Even though your three babies were late, did they arrive via natural means? No medical induction or c-sections?
@@tesslopes-medina884 my 3 late babies were born without medical intervention or c sections
Absolutely true. Baby will decide their due date. I went 42+5 with my second and had a perfectly fine birth and no induction. Currently 40+3 with my third and as much as I'd like this baby to exit, I just need to be patient. Due dates cause ridiculous and unnecessary stress.
I am a doctor and I only agree with the following steps:
1. Let go of fears
2. Meditation: body will follow mind
3. Exercise/be active
4. Birth ball
6. Nipple stimulation:5 min each side with 5 min break in middle for half hour: should be enjoyable

Thank you so much for sharing knowledge and experience in such a clear way with all the shopping guidance too!
did those tips work or did you deliver until 40weeks?
40+1 today. Baby number 4 and I've never even made it to 39 weeks before now. I'm so ready to meet my baby. Fingers crossed these work for me. X
Went into labour the next day and she was born at 12.01am at 41+3. It worked. 🙂
@@fayxwilson6250 I’m 40/40 tomorrow and same, first two came 38/39 weeks. Which tips did you do specifically?
@@himalayan1912 sex with nupple stiumation mainly. But I had clary sage oil in the defuser, figure 8 on my birthing ball and I actually went into labour and had her the day after this comment. Good luck with your labour. Relax, cliche and easier said than done i know but breath out the tension, inhale the peace and calm. Xx
@@fayxwilson6250 I'll definitely try the nipple stimulation and hopefully be in labor in the next few days 🥰
I would also like to thank you for all the videos you post. It helped me through my first pregnancy and now I’m watching your content all over again with my second.
Just a word of warning to anyone wanting to try the labor cocktail.
**trigger**
It works.
Please please please
*DO NOT USE CASTOR OIL*
What can happen? I took it with my first because of my OLD folk😭but it only made me poop.
V Nice I it can make the baby poop in the womb and they can ingest their poop. Very dangerous
my midwife also advised staying away from castor oil because it can cause contractions that come too fast and too strong (since it causes a lot of uproar in your digestive system it can kickstart contractions) BUT it can cause a ton of stress on the baby so they can't get oxygen and can cause a lot of other issues for baby.
@@kaiiids815 You are exactly right, thank you for sharing. There are much better other natural ways of inducing labor or starting contractions.
Is there any research to support that? The only research I read on castor oil indicates it's very effective in starting labor however causes nausea in women, but nothing to the extent of what you're saying
It's my due date today. This oven is ready to shut down. The bun should be done baking!😂
How was your birth experience?
I’m 39 weeks hoping to go into labor soon
Blue-eyed- Beauty same dear Gods time is the best
Blue-eyed- Beauty did u give birth
Yes I did March 24th to a healthy baby girl 😁
Blue-eyed- Beauty how many weeks and days exactly. I’m excited for a baby girl too 🙏🏽
anne macias 39 weeks and 2 days due date was March 29
Thank goodness iam not alone, 39 weeks and 2 days. Ive been doing all these mentioned except caster oil. Hoping to meet my baby soon hopefully in a few days time
I started to wax all over so I can get ready for the hospital, at 38 weeks and 5 days. The pain was so bad that it triggered the labour lol around 2-3 weeks before due date. 😅
Gave birth all natural no epidural excruciating pains it was like a horror movie until my baby girl came out then it turned into love story with better actors 💕
wow am in my 40 week and i do wanna wax myself so badly..but then i donno what to do with this huge beach ball in front of me 😅😂
@@Visreena lol, I was using cream but it is toxic so I was afraid to use it such late in pregnancy. Try to shave it, get a good razor from Venus or something even better if not trim it, I was half done half full of hair. But it honestly doesn't matter anymore in those moments😁. Good luck and hope you'll have a safe delivery🤲🏼
@@misma9596 🤣 i tried to shave down there last week with my hands feeling and ended up creating a new hairstyle over there 😅😅

Hi Bridget, Dakalo from South Africa here
We need more doulas like you ma'am please
Our health care system in our country is poor and especially for public hospitals
All your videos are so friendly and useful! 38 weeks today and so ready to pop and meet my first son 😍😍
I’m 37 weeks and have mild cholestasis and my doctor wants to induce by the time I’m 39 weeks. I don’t want to be induced so I will be trying some of these (except the castor oil) to naturally get things going. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
That’s exactly what my doctor said I just want to find a natural way to induce
How did it go?
@@paulinab.7665 Hi! Well I tried everything I could even the castor oil and nothing worked for me. I had some mild contractions for a few hours and then they went away. I ended up being induced. But I have a healthy boy now ❤️🙏🏻
@@angelag7784 I tried many things and nothing worked for me. Good luck 🙏🏻
@@kristie1633 Thank you for the answer! Im glad that everything is ok🙂. I have gestational diabetes and also want to avoid induction. But I try some of these tips, who knows maybe something will help 😄

Currently 37 weeks I’m so ready for this boy to be outtttt
Hey ,you guys are really lucky to have nurse and family members that can help and encourage you I live in Jamaica and your all by yourself it's really stressful ,I love your videos
My due date is this Saturday and I just had my last appointment. I’ve been dilated 2cm for weeks now. I hope he comes this week but we set a inducing date for next Wednesday just in case!
Did the baby came out in time
I’m 38 weeks tomorrow and I just need this boy out of me! Lol
At 9days over I took the Midwives brew at the suggestion of my midwife. It was a little different of a recipe than yours, but I took it at 12pm and delivered my son at 7:17pm.
I'm on team Midwives Brew 😄
lol there are so many women in my expectant mothers forum on babycenter that think drinking the midwives brew to induce is a selfish, terrible idea. I didnt even know what it was until i watched this video and it doesnt even seem that bad. i might try it
I took it when I was considered full term. And had him 8 hours later. With this one I’ll prob wait another week or two before doing it again.
@Summer Robinson so many parent forums are full of dummies
I am 35 w pregnant and will be needing this video soon. LOL I started my own channel so we will see if any of these help me and I can share them.
I guess everyone’s body is different during pregnancy bc there’s no way I can or want to have sex right now. I’m 39 weeks and super uncomfortable aaaaannnnddd I don’t trust my bladder 🥴😣
Girl I had diarrhea for the past 3 weeks and we tried to have sex i had to stop it, like honey its not you. I have to poo
I thought I was the only one not wanted to have sex. No position is comfortable to me 😞.
@@nelie569 sideways isn't too bad,😀
I have 0 desire to have sex. I’m huge, in pain, and feel pretty gross with all the bodily functions going on down there lol.. I still tried to to try to get this baby out! It just made me cramp for awhile after. No labor☹️
The sex think, I was already uncomfortable from the begining of the pregnancy.
I have tried 5 different methods and I’m currently 1 cm dilated and 80% effaced, with the baby’s head fully engaged. The doctor said my water should break on it’s own but it’s not, so I’m completely at a loss here
Baby due tomorrow sooooo want these to work 😁😁😁🤗 can't wait to meet my little boy!
Number 10 is definitely a legit tip. I don't know about the other ones. Walking is legit too.
I am 41 week and 2 days
I am going craaaaaaazy
Nothing yet!!
How did it go?
I took Midwives Brew two and a half years ago with my son. I finished it at 10:45pm that night, started having contractions at 12:30am and my son was here by 5:19am! I’m gonna try it again!
Edit: I did this again for my daughter! I finished the drink around 9:45 pm, starting having contractions around 10:30pm and she was born at 7:45am the very next morning!
Castor oil is incredibly dangerous to the baby and can lead to ingestion of meconium and sepsis in the baby.
Jennet McAvoy Both my midwife and OB approved so I’m sure that this is an incidence that is an anomaly. Both of my little ones were induced this way! Thanks though
Jennet McAvoy if a baby is going to produce Meconium in the womb, they will anyway. & if they do it doesn’t always mean they inhale it. Plus there is NO evidence that shows castor oil passes through the placenta .
Sisk
How do you make it 😓😓
I'll be coming back to this come August!!
Don’t use caster oil it can kill the baby
I’m due on the 14th was given the green light for inducing 😊😊 good luck momma
