    Great vid. One question... does the coconut oil re-solidify or does the oil stay fluid?

    • @rastogisk007
      @rastogisk007  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, Coconut oil re-solidify at low temprature. You need to warm little bit to make liquid. Thanks

    Thanks for your vid . I’m
    Going to give this a go 👍 just one question...how long did you steam it in sieve in the boiling water ?
    Also I’m a little concerned that putting the fresh rose petals in at the end might go a little off?
    Ps I just saw in the comments that you corrected that ... you say now to put dry petals in at the end 👍

    • @rastogisk007
      @rastogisk007  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I did around one hour. Yes, to avoid mold and fungus, please do not put fresh petals at the end. It looks fancy and prity but reduces the shelf life of oil extract. Thanks

    I tried to makng this last night but this morning unfortunately had a little disaster and had to throw it the whole thing away!
    . I steamed the coconut oil and the last I had of my Argan oil and Rose hip oil and some expensive organic dried petals. I done the hour then left them to cool overnight. This morning the coconut oil was hardening so I thought I would briefly heat it up again just so I could strain it off. But the mason jar cracked and the bottom fell
    Off ! So I had to throw everything out. It was quite an expensive ordeal unfortunately. So what do you do if the coconut oil hardens? I may have heated up the saucepan to quickly I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ I’m so disappointed 😕

    • @rastogisk007
      @rastogisk007  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh no, coconut oil solidify as it cool. Some time even at room temperature. Better put coconut glass bottle in warm water bath rather than direct on heat....sorry to hear ur accident...

    • @annab5961
      @annab5961 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shiva Kumar Rastogi : Thanks for that . I appreciate it . Yeah I did just stand the mason jar in a steel steamer over the boiling water .. maybe the steamer got too hot . Been thinking about it and next time I’ll just make sure I put it in a heatproof bowl with foil on top to seal it .

    • @rastogisk007
