    Hey all - reminder that roses like this more than likely have been sprayed down with pesticides and all types of toxins - the best rose petals to use are ORGANIC & usually food grade! Please be safe with your DIYS, especially if you are trying to sell these products to customers that trust the quality of roses being used are safe!

    • @GabrielleIshell
      @GabrielleIshell  3 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Thanks! Someone else commented this! I’m thinking that mine must’ve been organic or very good quality, because there have been a couple of people who complained about the rose water turning weird colors. I didn’t notice anything bad when using any of these products! I got mine for my bday so I really don’t have any idea where they weee bought and what kind 🤷🏾‍♀️I will update my description box to let ppl know to get organic!

    • @EmileaLiebe
      @EmileaLiebe 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@GabrielleIshell it's definitely possible you were given organic roses, I noticed they looked different too, but it's hard to say for sure! Either way you were demonstrating so many useful DIYS with accessible items you had on hand which is great! Just a little disclaimer in the beginning description would be nice for viewers that don't already know.. & Amazon has some affordable BIG bags of organic/food grade dried rose petals and it's soooo worth it!

      Whole Foods usually has great deals on flowers. One way to save would be to check after Valentines Day or other holiday times when they may have leftovers. Another thought I had was the pot used for the vinegar. I would use stainless steel as to not heat up those chemicals in the "non stick" pots. That also might add some chemicals to your skin or hair.

      Most people that do this stuff wash the petals tho

      I have to try this! That rose infused oil had me at hello, but I really want to try the rose bath salt! It must smell so good when you put the petals in the oven... What is the purpose or boiling the apple cider vinegar?

    • @GabrielleIshell
      @GabrielleIshell  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Boiling is totally optional! But it gives the infusion process a jump start.

    This is great! I have 10 massive rose bushes in my garden and I can't wait to try these! I think I might just pop out now to pouch some petals for some rose water ❤

    Good video!! Uh! Oh! maybe if the orange peels were a little dryer, then the petals would not have welted, but you know what, we can learn from our failures. Great job lady.👍🌹
