The worst things are pothole fixing done by BM near Andheri, Jogeshwari, Goregaon. Those tar filling are done so horribly that the road is a nightmare to drive on especially for 2 wheelers.
The tar fillings are done to reduce construction time required as if a road needs to be repaired then it is closed off for some days or maybe weeks and that will be a huge problem for the Citizens so tar filling is the most effective way.

In Malad the SV road becomes very narrow, and in Andheri the Link road is so terrible i wouldn't recommend a newcomer to drive there.

One more reason why this highway is dumb that is the entry lanes are first and then the exit lanes. So vehicles entering the highway causes traffic to the vehicles exiting the highway. If exit lanes would be first then traffic would be much less
This is my daily route i travel from bhayander to bandra everyday from this road it has 10 lanes but it's so conjusted that it sometime takes 3 hrs from bhayander to bandra (kherwadi junction) but it is lifeline for us mira bhayander people

Eastern Express Highway is far better though, It has multiple huge junctions like Priyadarshini , Amar Mahal, Chhedanagar in Chembur for turn to Vashi, Panvel, Freeway, Santacruz . AGLR jn at Ghatkopar for Airport, WEH. JVLR at VIkhroli for Powai SEEPZ and ofc Mulund junction for Airoli, Thane and upcoming GMLR. Although we have traffic but it is mostly driven by flyover uptil Chedanagar Jn, Chembur West and after which from Ramabai Ghatkopar it is mostly roadways but yes the traffic is lesser because one side is Manrgroves so. Overall better then WEH , but still needs a metro to run on it like on WEH.
I can say with great pride that every road in Varanasi is being constructed properly and proper drainage system and service corridor are being made in it in which optical fiber, electricity cable, gas pipeline and water pipeline can be laid😎 thanks Yogi ji

Becuase Mumbai is biggest blunder in terms of Metro City. On one hand it is proud of High property rates, on the other hand city is having worst infra, even poor than tier 2 cities. Any part of city is just political blunder. Slums are developed and infra is not developed just to inflate the prices of land bank.
Introducting high/increased bus freqeuncy with additional routes-or on the existing routes has the potential to persuade commuters to hop on to buse-thereby reducing no of pvt cars on WEH. Only obstacle being-rickshaw unions aren't going to be v happy about it cus they make a lot of money just by the waiting time in peak WEH traffic. Also, regulations need to be put in place-when can lorries,8-wheeler trucks can operate in Mumbai city, starting from Dahisar check-naka in order to make WEH a high-speed arterial road. Metro already has de-congested a certain %age, though not to its expected potential. Also-service roads along WEH are in a state of utter disdain, infested with encroachments, car-repair workshops and homeless folks.
What I feel is that we need to upgrade our local railways, create dedicated lines for fast and slow trains, reduce delays, we need to have super fast options for long distance trains...for example for places like dahanu, we need to have a super fast train that only halts at main station...and have slow train run between Virar and dahanu for intermediate station, these slow trains if they can emulate the speed and timings of metros can effectively deliver on time and efficiency
I travel this road almost everyday. This is the worst road ever. There are potholes. There is a road construction happening near Growels for the last 5 years but not getting finished. Everyday they divert the traffic but that too doesn’t solve the issue. Moreover, Dahisar checknaka is the worst. A little relief may happen if they remove the Dahisar checknaka, I don’t know who even supports this checknaka. The condition of road is really bad in Western Suburbs. Mira Road has not roads, so much of construction happening that roads aren’t there at all. Govt is mum and doesn’t want to do anything. Public is at a loss. Mumbai being financial capital deserves the best roads but who to blame. Really disappointing. Thank you for making this video.

Yes, you are right, from last 3 years I travel from Thane (Cadbury) to Ghatkopar (Pant Nagar) the distance is about 15 KM and it takes only 20 minutes to travel on bike with 70 KMPH, on Saturday the roads are almost empty if i travel 90 KMPH it takes only 15 to 16 minutes to reach Ghatkopar on Eastern Express Highway, and do you know it is even faster than train, slow train takes 21 minutes to travel from thane to Ghatkopar.
From jogeshwari towards bandra and from dahisar onwards you will get traffic. No traffic from dahisar to jogeshwari most of the time. agar mila toh bi its always flowing traffic for bikes. Mera daily route hai from SGNP to Arey
Probably not. Considering short distance travellers, the frequency of trains will have to reduce to divert the one for rapid transport. I dont think we can do that, currently trains are scheduled within 5-10 mins span or even less. We cannot go further.

When Andheri East roads were being cemented there war only a single lane in both directions. There were no traffic jams so CE there was no room for anyone to drift and mess up the traffic. Ill informed video… Western Express Highway was nothing but 2 plus 2 lanes with loads of garbage around it until 95. When Sena-BJP govt came and started its transformation to today’s 8-10 lanes. The problem is excessive construction around it compared to eastern expressway which has little construction and many many mangroves on its east side.
We should remember this road was built before 90s when even this TH-camr grandapa don't even used to have cycle 😁. It was the best of it's time. It used to have well planed storm drainage system and service road on both sides with tree on every 10 to 15 meters😊.

The irony is roads ho ya railway, decongest hone ke liye nhi, aur population ko lake munafa krwane ke liye use hota hai. They make it for earning profits. When Andheri East roads were being cemented there war only a single lane in both directions. There were no traffic jams so CE there was no room for anyone to drift and mess up the traffic. Ill informed video… Western Express Highway was nothing but 2 plus 2 lanes with loads of garbage around it until 95. When Sena-BJP govt came and started its transformation to today’s 8-10 lanes. The problem is excessive construction around it compared to eastern expressway which has little construction and many many mangroves on its east side.

We should remember this road was built before 90s when even this TH-camr grandapa don't even used to have cycle 😁. It was the best of it's time. It used to have well planed storm drainage system and service road on both sides with tree on every 10 to 15 meters😊.
