lovely fishing, i do love wrasse fishing here in Ireland. i would recommend anyone that wants to try it to go barbless as it can be hard to get the barb out of their rubber lips.. ty again for sharing
Great video! I’m moving back to Guernsey and I can not wait to get into some fishing. I am completely clueless and I’m learning a lot from your channel. Thanks mate
Thanks. Yeah I did plan on doing quite a bit of wrasse fishing over the summer but ended up only going just the one time. Winter can still be good for them here though.
Was in cornwall in september lure fishing for wrasse with 2.5inch z-man crawZ great fun and had loads to the craw, had less on a small paddletail though
Enjoyable video Cal my daughter loves wrasse fishing, would you say its better to fish for Wrasse on the incoming tide in clear water opposed to cloudy or does it not make much difference.
Clear water is generally best yeah. You can still fish for them in murky water though, just leave the lure hanging a little longer so the fish have time to react. Winter wrasse fishing over here can also be good. Thanks a lot 👍🏼
Hit them on the second take. Good tip mate, makes sense. Will try that.
Nice video Cal, Wrasse fishing is my favourite form of fishing 👍👍
Cheers Pat 👍🏼 Yeah wrasse fishing can be really good fun, especially when you find some big ones 💪🏻

Thanks. Yeah barbless would be a better option for sure. They can be tricky to get out sometimes.
Sometimes conditions are right, lures are right, but the fish dont bite.great effort put in.nice vid cal.cheers bud.
That's true, thanks a lot 👍🏼

Nice upload Cal!
I haven't been wrassing since may, conditions have been dire.
Itching to get out chasing those rock pigs

@@FISHINGWITHCAL imo, early winter wrassing (nov-dec )is often better than the summertime.
Keep the uploads coming Cal.
Always good viewing

Haha thanks a lot 🎣
Would love to catch a big wrasse.....don’t get them in the dark muddy waters of the Blackwater Estuary here in Essex. Bummer. 😂😂👍👍🐟🐟
Yeah estuaries definitely aren’t the best for wrasse haha. Stick to the bass Nigel 💪🏼🎣
