BASS & WRASSE FISHING ON A SUMMERS DAY | LURE FISHING WITH DRIFT OFFICIAL LURES

- With the sun shining and a calm sea, I head out in search of some fish! I’d start the session by targeting wrasse whilst using an 8.5ft lure rod from Drift Official.
This DRX1 rod is rated from 5-35g and is ideal for a variety of lure fishing around the Uk.
After catching a couple of small wrasse, I then had to move along the bay to avoid getting cut off. Having continued targeting wrasse, I then thought it was worth a go for a bass too.

Where have you been mate it's been quite a while now, great to see your back with a great video as always
i have been learning wrasse fishing with lures got all dA soft plastics taken tips of u with keeping the back of paddle tails etc and i hve caught 5 or 6 now in last 2 weeks am getting there bro masterd pollock through winter with fish upto 5lb now the wrsssee fishing
Fair play mate, that’s great to hear. Wrasse fishing can be a lot of fun and when you get hit by a big one you certainly know about it. I’ve been snapped clean off by some big wrasse in the past. Glad the videos help mate. Cheers 👍🏼
Great little clip and a gorgeous day for a spot of sea fishing by the looks of it. Must be great living close to the sea like that in beautiful surroundings.
As for the kit, I’ve always used Sufix 131 braid due to the low memory giving fewer wind knots. How does that Samson braid seem for memory ?
Thank you mate. Yeah it’s definitely handy living on a small island and always being close to a fishing spot. I wouldn’t have it any other way!
I think the braid is great to be completely honest with you. I don’t have any problems with wind knots, the diameter is probably a little thicker than sufix braid but for me, that’s not an issue.

Yeah it was pretty breezy down there but that little corner where I had the bass was beautiful. Nice bit of shelter, I didn’t expect much to be completely honest so that’s why I was so pleased with a few small ones. Cheers mate 🎣

recently started fishing in seaton, whitley bay area (lures like yours) 3rd blank this morning (been fishing with the dog so no rocks or cliffs as yet) gonna go out tomoz am again to some spots without the pooch so hoping to break the blank curse.
Good luck mate. Best to find that rougher ground and fish those kind of areas rather than sandy beaches during the day.

Where are you fishing, the south coast is so muddy fish can't see lures.
