- Following up my best Armor and Weapon tier list, here is the Best RING accessory in Baldur's Gate 3 ranked on a tier list. A hand-picked some of the best rings in this game to rank them on this tier list, talking about which of them are good on which builds and how to use them. Some of these have a very nice benefit to certain builds, and others can be used on any class and provide a boost. I will be covering some of the best rings in the game to talk about the benefits that they bring. Let me know in the comments your thoughts!

the acid ring, is actually really surprisingly good. I wore it till the endgame in one playthrough!
I had it plus the Ichorous Gloves on Karlach! When you deal acid damage you create an acid cloud. I had her as a tiger heart Barbarian so she would cleave and go crazy with the acid damage (sadly it does hurt you but there are boots that prevent that)
@@JasonDunna Ohhh! I never tried tiger heart barbarians, are they particularly good or is better to go with a different subclass?
@@MulderHiggins Tiger heart or Bear are the best! Bear gives resistance to all damage but psychic but the Tiger barbarian can use cleave as their normal attack, and it applies bleed! Taking the wolverine aspect lets you maim targets with bleed making them unable to move. Its surprisingly really fun!
@@JasonDunna oh dude, imagine using spiked bulbs that make them bleed as well. WOAH like if the eneimes are too far away, u can ranged attack with spiked bulbs

How I handle ring slots: Put on crusher's ring, put on ring of protecc, leave the ring slots alone for the rest of the game.

I'm kicking myself. I'm going through my Honor Mode run and fought Minthara at the Grove last night, battle went by easily but then I realized I failed to save Mirkon from the Harpies.
Went down to the waterfront and sure enough their he is face down on the rocks. I failed to protect but I will gain vengeance.

Notably for Killerr's Sweetheart, it can turn any attack into a critical hit, even one that missed! You can turn a natural 1 on the attack roll into a crit with that ring, but the illithid power only works on attacks you actually hit with.
I totally forgot to mention that! The reaction is so nice, I save them for misses because that's a huge boost to damage per turn
I remember how awesome it felt to discover the band of the mystic scoundrel/helmet of arcane acuity combo for the first time! So OP.
The burnished ring is neat for a caster wielding the staff of cherished necromancy, since paralysing ray is a necromancy spell and enemies will have disadvantage on the save. It’s no good for non-casters though because it uses your spellcasting modifier for the CON save DC. A fighter with low INT, for example, is unlikely to land it successfully
Band of the mystic scoundrel is seriously soooo good. One of the best items in the game

I used both the callous glow ring and the ring of absolute force on my magic missile build for extra radiant and thunder damage per MM projectile. The risky ring is a must for my player character every run, especially anything multiclassed with rogue for a sneak attack every turn without hiding. Eversight ring was a must for my non-warlock durge paired with a devil’s sight-having warlock as we constantly hid in darkness. But the shadow blade ring…that ring wasn’t meant to be permanently worn, it was meant to be used for the hireling exploit so I can dual-wield the actual blades to deal massive damage paired with the resonance stone.
The combo of the risky ring with the killer's sweetheart is amazing. When you put it on Astarion as a gloomstalker rougue with the Knife of the Undermountain King, sword of soul stealing and gontre mael the man is unstoppable. Just remember to talk the risky ring off before reading the Necromancy of Thay 😂
Risky ring is seriously so good on a rogue! Hahahah good point about the necromancy of thay I didn’t even think of that
The whispering Promise from Volo in Act 1 is Tier S. Every time you heal you are blessed. That's huge, just heal yourself with an additional action and you'll can hit and protect against high enemies. If you play solo that's your best friend until Act3 when you'll can buy your statue with a permanent bless buff. Then you'll change with the Band of the Mystic S. And of course, the risky Ring from act 1/2 on the other hand.
Plus Shadow Blade Ring is Tier S too if you combine with Resonance Stone in Act2 that double your Pshychic Damage. You put the ring, create the shadow Blade without concentration, and unwear the ring for the last ones. Massive damage.
Now that I'm doing my first honor mode run, I'm finding all these rings I missed on my first playthrough. There are so many...
The ring that prevents blindness is A tier. That allows another character to melee in darkness while still in act 2. No need for devil's sight.
Preventing blindness is so good since there’s so many ways to abuse that mechanic
Once I was about to assault the goblin camp when I remembered I forgot to save Arabella from the snake rushed back there and saved her crisis averted lol

Risky ring is seriously so powerful. Advantage on attacks helps a lot
I loved using the ring of free action. I played this goolock that went into melee with evard’s black tentacles and used it plus the justiciar’s greatshield to mess with the enemy AI it was so fun.
That sounds really interesting! The justiciar great shield has a cool ability and would lead to come interesting combat scenarios
You forgot the ring you get from killing Marcus at last light Inn that gives invis and blur. The pass without trace ring from act 2 is useful also.
Yeah I didn’t include all rings just tried to put some of the most effective ones together ! Those two rings are pretty solid especially on a stealth focused build

The ring of resistence to ants is really good to fight ants and Mattis sell this right at the beging of the game

Hey man, love your videos. BUT - they would be so much easier to navigate if you just brought up each item's stats when you're talking about them, instead of just relying on you narrating their stats.
You’re right I should get screenshots of the in-game text. I have a playthrough with pretty much every attainable item, but it’s scattered between characters and the less powerful weapons are in chests.

Solo in honor mode is awesome. I really like the bard 10 paladin 2 for doing solo since the bonus action crowd control helps so much
@@JasonDunnahonestly the callous glow ring is one of the most glitched items in the game, its damage rider stays randomly duplicating damage on different kinds of attacks and I have only found it to always do it with explosives, which is kinda huge
That’s just a partial list of all the rings in the game… for instance, where is the shadow cloaked ring, eversight ring and ring of twilight? Just to name a few
Yeah there is a ton of rings and hopefully I can compile an entire list some day but even this was a bit tricky since many of them look the same haha
risky ring on shadowheart because she misses EVERY HIT. ring of flinging is so good for my minsc build. If only I didn *any* quests in act 1 😟
Hahaha I was gonna name drop her for missing but she catches enough flack for that hahaha. Reverberation is good on Tempest Shadowheart as you can lower dex saves

It doesn't matter if she misses her firebolt when she can spirit guardians and they won't have to roll for attack 🫡
@@MulderHiggins 200 IQ play. I love spirit guardians! I am finishing a radiating orb build I used on my first playthrough and I its so fun. Spirit Guardians is amazing

Risky ring is risky but advantage on attacks is really useful! That can trigger sneak attack every turn
Why is ring of flinging higher then caustic ring? While the damage is very slightly less it works for everything, instead of just throwing.
Yeah good point it’s guaranteed damage for any martial/ranged class! The ring of flinging gets doubled with tavern brawler which I’m not sure if it’s an intended effect but it makes it stronger than just 1d4
Ring of flinging also lets you break chests you normally couldn’t, which is another random effect
callous glow ring is way better than the caustic band because it can proc on spells as well. Also the crypt lords ring is trash because the spell it gives while it is level 6 its one of the worst summons in the game, considering it takes a precious ring slot to keep the summon around, definitely not worth it.
Yeah callous glow ring can set up some builds well
Crypt lord ring is solid though! The mummy summon can tank a few hits for your team and since it’s got a lower AC then enemy AI targets it first keeping your team alive longer. Once it dies you can swap rings. You can pair the circle of bones from Balthazar to keep it alive longer to tank more hits. It’s basically temporary health for your whole team without requiring you to invest the level 6 spell
Your lists are so random.
One of the best rings in the game is the shapeshifters boon ring. Combined with silver necklace guidance you have a d4 on all ability checks in the game.
You also forgot strange conduit ring which is even better than the caustic ring and very easy to proc the condition for its effect, again silver necklace guidance to proc concentration before a battle.
And band of the mystic scoundrel and arcane acuity must be the most overrated combo in the game. It’s cool I guess to guarantee disable an enemy but why not just kill your enemies instead? The whole arcane acuity build is so resource intensive it’s just not worth it.

Invisibility once per long rest is A to S tier depending on build and team composition.
