One thing I feel like I have to point out is that yes that is Greg Proops as Santa Claus in this, but he was not the original voice of Santa in the movie, that was Edward Ivory, Greg just plays him in the concert. However Greg did play minor characters in the movie such as the Sax Player and Devil.
I won't lie, I didn't know Paul Reubens was in the movie until about 4-5 years ago. I actually saw him at a con while waiting in line for another actor. At the front Paul was greeting and talking with a cosplayer and getting a photo. He looked so happy and still youthful for his age. While I never watched his series or movie really, I know he brought so much joy to others. It was sad when I found out he died. Because I swore when I saw him you wouldn't have guessed he was hiding cancer.

The LS&B bit was beautiful! The fact that they had to be in sync with each other really helped with the timing. The best solo act, in my opinion, was Sally.

I often sing some of those songs for my Facebook friends and my family. Usually around Halloween/Christmas, I sing a song from Nightmare before Christmas. I sang Jack’s Lament(Friends fav), Oogie Boogie’s song(My mom’s favorite, What this?!(My brother’s favorite), Poor Jack, and finally on Christmas Day I gave my friends and family a Christmas gift by singing We’re simply meant to be. Everyone had commented of how much they love my performances. I love Nightmare before Christmas and it was an amazing experience performing those songs

I was so in love with this film as a child that my foster family always joked that Jack was my boyfriend from when I was little. We'd go past the DVD store with all it's gothic stuff in the window, and my foster mum would always point and say "go say hi to your boyfriend" as a way to tell me and my siblings to idle in there while she checked the boring shop next door for towels and bedding.
I don’t understand why we need to have some kind of competition between creators like Burton and Selick. They both deserve a ton of credit for making the film, and it wouldn’t have existed in the way we know today without either of them. Hell, Danny Elfman also gave so much to the film in terms of music and voice talent, not to mention every animator, story artist and dozens of other credits that we aren’t even aware of. TLDR: Movies are made by the contributions of many talented people, and it’s ridiculous to bring one creator down just to put another on a pedestal. Fan culture doesn’t have to be so one-sided about everything.
I am so happy that I stumbled upon this, and I so would have loved to have been there! I’m such a Tim Burton fan and a Pee-wee Herman fan, and to be able to witness this in person would have been one thing to mark off my bucket list ☺️! Cathrine is unbelievably talented! Where was this being performed at?
I’m lucky that this year will be the 4th time to get to see Danny in concert, and he’s done a mix of only Nightmare Before Christmas showings and a collection of his works. This year he’s even including more Oingo Boingo content. I definitely recommend looking up his concerts a few months before October to see what his plans are in the following years! I live near LA myself so I’m not sure if he does this elsewhere, but I think it’d be worth the visit :)

I am so happy that I stumbled upon this, and I so would have loved to have been there! I’m such a Tim Burton fan and a Pee-wee Herman fan, and to be able to witness this in person would have been one thing to mark off my bucket list ☺️! Cathrine is unbelievably talented! Where was this being performed at?
It was compiled together from several different concerts, but mostly it was performed at the Hollywood Bowl.

I’m lucky that this year will be the 4th time to get to see Danny in concert, and he’s done a mix of only Nightmare Before Christmas showings and a collection of his works. This year he’s even including more Oingo Boingo content. I definitely recommend looking up his concerts a few months before October to see what his plans are in the following years! I live near LA myself so I’m not sure if he does this elsewhere, but I think it’d be worth the visit :)
