everything i hear sounds cooler and cooler. I loved Secret of Nimh and Redwall as a kid, and Mouse Guard more recently, so theres a certain amount of joyful nostalgia about this the other thing im kind of a bit excited to see is havint a bit of a more kid focused set, I have step kids about the right age to start playing but getting 7 year olds into a murder mystery or gory gothic horror just doesnt exactly work. And Magic needs new players! Really hoping this is a plane that is well received mechanically from established players and can be one that, like Ravnica, can be revisited every few years
I am really interested in the "tribal-not-tribal" idea. From the precons, the Squirrel's look to be token themed and Golgari colors, so I get the idea and I can't wait to see the whole set

I think he said they would stay a mouse (on Blogatog). Which makes sense - what's the point of a Bloomsburrow mouse turning into someone who doesn't even look like themselves? If they want to do an OTJ style random character cameo, they should still look like themselves right? :)
Been saving up draft tokens on Arena for this set. MKM was a decent draft, didn't care for OTJ draft though. Also excited for the 70's/80's Horror set after Bloomburrow. Just got back into mtg after a 4 year break. A lot has changed.
Bloomburrow may be the only set where I'm more interested in the potential merchandise than the cards themselves. Where are the Gatewatch animal plushies!?
Hey Mark, just so I can budget accordingly.... Are you guys already making plans for a $1500 35th Anniversary proxy kit? Or is that still a few months down the line?
I’m excited for the story implications that are so good they have to do something with that everyone is an animal. Like at the end a bear/wolf creature goes through an omen path and we discover it is garruk who lost his memories or something like that!
Looking forward to the set but I hope it's not just an excuse to see animal versions of every single Magic character in the way Thunder Junction felt like an excuse to just see cowboy versions of every single character. I know it's a bit much to expect Magic to tell a gripping story since they abandoned the block format and have whiffed the last several stories they've tried telling. Still. I'm trying to be optimistic about it. I hope the color pairs don't lock players in like Ravinca did--I always hated drafting Ravnica.

Furries, we call that fandom furries*. They smell the money so I hope to heck that the set is actually good, and so far we seen most of the cards are pretty decent.
I love how everyone is pretending like this guy isn't ruining the game. It's almost as bad as the sc-ambassadors they tried to shove down our throats...I wonder what ever happened to them. Their set design is a bunch of hot garbage. The fact they had to release a ban announcement with the words "All cards that bring a sticker or an Attraction into the game are banned" speaks wonders to their ability to stay relevant. Every decision has been made solely to fill their pockets and not ensure the game remains playable.
So dumb, i enjoyed magic the gathering, but seeinf this stuff and the cash grab cross over. Dungeons and Dragons was tolerable, but Fallout? Just ruin the game quickly plz
How about talking about how so much product is diluting the game, what about how printing for commander has fucked the format, how about that Bottomwater? Try talking about how you have to suck the corporate teat all day and say "Thank you sir may have another" as this game alone is proving up a dying company.... oh MTG you suck so bad, but I love you so much...
I know that new generations are starting to consume the MTG but i think that they are distortioning the Lore alot... Imo the best lore and artwork was in the Urza storyline and the weatherlight...
I've been playing MTG since Judgment came out. I'm excited about Bloomburrow because it feels like a "MTG" set and not a meme set or more of the crossover stuff that we have been getting. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind the crossovers because they bring in new players. I loved the DnD stuff. Also, can't wait to return to Lorwyn!
As a 40 year old male and magic player of the 90s. This set sounds cringe. I like animals, but if you wanted an animal set just make an animal set, dont turn main characters into animals or cowboys. Same goes if you wanted a investigative set, dont set it on Ravnica. Even if Capenna didn't go over well with the masses, make a new set. For the record, I liked Capenna.
@@yaboy821 No. They're taking main characters and making them animals. Theyve made everything "Avengers" the last couple years and overprinted cards. Big crossover sets just to keep making the same characters. I'm not saying that there are no new characters on Bloomburrow, but they could have made a plane and not included Jace, Ral, and have a sneaky suspicion its another mash up set because everyone gets transformed into an animal.
@@TheFranchise83 that's stupid tough, guess kaldheim isn't the viking set, because there where planeswalkers there, kamigawa had nothing to do with cyberpunk Japan cus the planeswalkers where there also, Tarkir wasnt the dragon plane etc... by that logic every set is a crossover set
