Love the ears.

You have it backwards in regards to Maro being named after Rosewater's nickname. Rosewater created the card in Mirage design, but it didn't have a name yet. So MaRo (the first two letters of his names) was put on as a placeholder but it ended up sticking as the card name. That is how he got the nickname in the first place.

this is when i started playing! OGW was my first prerelease but i played BFZ draft a bunch and the first pack of magic i ever opened i got an ulamog

Kind of curious why y'all didn't do one on Origins. Well, I guess it is in this weird space between the "regular" expansions with story and the Edition and Core sets.

After Ugin was revived in Fate Reforged I always thought we could see a Return to Zendikar in the future. I didn't think it would be so soon though! The trailer for BFZ had me HYPED! Loves the set, mechanics and Ulamog! Had a 12-post deck at the time that splashed green. My Army buddies hated it! Lol Called it the Hammer of Dawn after that weapon In gears of war.

BFZ/OGW was probably the last time I played Standard.

Mahamoti Djinn has been my favorite card since ‘94. The incredible art back then was a big reason Magic was so instantly popular and successful. Mr. Frazier was kind enough to sign a bunch of cards for me a while back. Very nice guy

Theros... while the R2R block was my introduction to MTG and made me love Rakdos and Izzet in a lean that dominates my deckbuilding now, The Theros block was what defined my main playstyle in the peak of that era. I actually fiujd nyself swapping between Rakdos, Gruul and Golgari a lot in that time thanks to the dominating power of satyrs, minotaurs and all sorts of monsters from myths

I know not everyone is a fan of the Innistrad sets, but I adore the plain itself and it's cards, even the 2021 set and have both dedicated vampire and werewolf decks built from across the sets

Great vid! You did an awesome job with this one, especially in going over the story for this set (which despite being divorced from the main bulk of the Dominaria storyline at the time, was reasonbly well put together). Always love your videos and I really need to find the time to watch more of them

I remember trying to teach my friends back in high school how to play MTG with P2A.

Love the art! This has always been a bit of a blind spot for me since it came out so long before I played, but it's cool to know the history behind it all the same.

I'm still in awe how far this channel has come from a few years ago to today. Between the special guests and finding your stride in presentation it's been a fun ride watching you grow!!

I have a huge amount of nostalgia for this set. I owned a few cards before this but didn't know how to play Magic. I got the starter set and convinced my dad to play it with me. I have a lot of good memories of playing with him - it was the only time he played magic with me but it was very kind that he indulged an over-excited 10-year-old with something he personally wasn't that interested in

I just bought the Comic Book, Girl Genius, Vol. 1, Iss. 1, tonight, and it was autographed by Kaja inside! I hope it's authentic!

When this set was released I was deployed to the Middle East from Alaska, we were riding on a bus on the way to the base we were staying at and I was checking out the spoilers on my phone. Got so hyped from the Legendary Dragons being spoiled, couldn't wait to get back and build a deck with them!

To this day, I still wonder about making a Populate Battalion Token deck to quickly make use of the Battalion ability. I pulled Assemble the Legion back then, and I loved building up an army through my games during the Prerelease Event.

Loved this block, as it was my second, and I got a good grasp of what I like from playing Magic. I have no memory of getting a Grove of the Guardian for doing he Selesnya one. Maybe my memory of the event is off. Weird.

I have so many thoughts about this block, but they would be things Spice8Rack already said. I will say that building a Khans cube is a wonderful way to play one of the best draft formats ever printed.

How about talking about how so much product is diluting the game, what about how printing for commander has fucked the format, how about that Bottomwater? Try talking about how you have to suck the corporate teat all day and say "Thank you sir may have another" as this game alone is proving up a dying company.... oh MTG you suck so bad, but I love you so much...
