Of course Universal want this badly, Nintendo is probably one of the few attractions that Disney can't buy meaning they'll have to remove it. I mean after Disney got Fox and the Simpsons ride contract expires in 2028 that'll probably have to go XD Maybe they will make it a Nintendo ride, or change it back to Back to the Future lol

It's probably called Super Nintendo World only because Super Mario World is already a thing.

I'm actually surprised by this because I'm a Singaporean and I have no idea that this was coming to our own Universal Studios here! We're already getting our own Pokemon Center here and it's about to open its doors soon in two weeks and I never thought we would be getting a Super Nintendo World here but I have to say that I'm so happy to see it happening and I'm sure that a lot of Singaporeans here, who are fellow Nintendo fans, are excited to hear that!
Lucky I wish there a Pokemon center in America sadly the one in New York was replaced by the Nintendo store I don't remember what its called but its still cool I guess.
I hope USS announces Harry Potter land next. Please, USS.

I live right next to Universal Studios California, so I'm only praying that Super Nintendo World is present there.
I'm really hoping this amusement park will actually feel like a Nintendo themed park & not a Mario themed park, because based from what I'm seeing so far, I'm seeing alot of Mario themed attractions & not so much attractions that are based off of other Nintendo ips like Zelda, Pokemon, Kirby, StarFox, Metroid etc. I get that Mario is Nintendo's mascot & is the most recognizable video game franchise in the world, but still I'm hoping they tone down the Mario lovefest & give other Nintendo ips some love by having their own themed attractions.
I feel like a Pokémon themed attraction has a 50/50 chance of happening Pokemon is the highest grossing media franchise of all time so I feel like Universal wouldn't want to pass up a chance of having Pokemon in their park plus Pokemon use to have a theme park back in 2005 but it was exclusive to Japan. On the other hand Pokemon and Gamefreak like to do their own things sometimes and be independent.

When they first announced it, it was only Orlando and Japan, then, when they gave out details, Hollywood was added and now Singapore is added.

ok, this is some time after majority of the madagascar area closed down to be replaced by minions(why. I remember wanting this as a kid but didn't have to go this way.). The area I possibly can see being replaced by the the super nintendo world for singapore is the far far away area (the area that has the shrek castle). my reason being is due to the area having a castle and i can likely see it being replaced by princess peach's castle. the Sci-fi area , Jurassic park area and the new york area seems unlikely to be replaced by the super nintendo world in the future, especially the egyptian area as the return of the mummy ride at that place recently finished revamping the area. what we want will have to come with a sacrifice and the sacrifice will be one of the areas of universal studios singapore. thus, the area more likely to be replaced by the super nintendo world would be the far far away area.
What about Illumination’s animated Mario movie? There is still no official confirmation about the voice cast, title, and even the person who will write the screenplay. the last time we got details about the movie was back on November of last year. Both Nintendo and Illumination have been extremely quiet about the animated Super Mario Brothers movie.
They basically did the same thing with Harry Potter. I’d bet on Japan and Orlando having the best versions of Super Nintendo World.

It's understandable why they choose Super Nintendo World as their expansion but it would be better if they can get some sort of exclusive Nintendo rides in it otherwise Singapore Universal would still remain a 2nd choice destination since Japan has the larger Nintendo World within a 2 hours flight.
Super nintendo world would be a nice name for a new crossover action adventure title. Imagine a mario odyssey or breath f the wild type game with the major nintendo characters in it. Mario gets some worlds, link gets some, samus, fox, dk, captain falcon etc.
As a sequel to Nintendo Land?

007ghost Universal Orlando. It’s probably about 9 or 10 hours if driving. Maybe 2 hours if on a plane

They COULD rebrand the battlestar galactica coaster, all the merch has already been removed from the exit booth.
meh.. that park desperately needs another GOOD coaster and to be honest.. I just can't see how BG's layout and track type will fit mario kart at all.. Just my opinion of course..!@@sinteleon

It will probably feature more franchises later on, but when the park starts they will obviously play it safe and use stuff mostly from Mario. But when the park is up and running they will probably feature stuff from other IPs, like Metroid, LOZ, StarFox, Fire Emblem, ecc.

@Piranha Plant what is a pretty dumb assumption however is that you think I sit on my ass every second keeping up with every single video game thing
I don’t trust Universal at all with this land, it could easily turn out bad. While Universal has made a large amount of excellent rides, they have recently only made cheap, mediocre rides with a focus on screens. Super Nintendo World is looking to be the same way and this brand deserves better.
To be fair, the most recent ride here is a non-screen Puss-in-boots themed ride, though admittedly I don't think it's that amazing.
