hi, is there a tutorial on how to wrap the rusty part of the stringing machine with the carbon fiber over it? yours is neatly done compare to others :)
Not sure what the rusty parts are. I do not have any rust areas on my machines. The only thongs I have ever wrapped are the support arms, and the clamps.
I lime the cleaner look and shorter runs where I tie off. If you tie mains at T7, it has a longer run on the outside of the frame and creates a double blocked hole for the bottom cross. If you also tie the bottom cross at T12, it creates another long run, and to me, it looks busy having 3 strings running along the side of the racquet. Longer runs also give more string to lose tension.
@@HerbBaird exactly thats what i thought, because i learned it with your method first, and this week i saw wilson instructions and they recommend T7, but i think T9 is better too! Thats for the blade 18x20, but the problem with the Blade Pro 18x20 (H22) is that the grommets they recommend have bigger holes than the nearest grommets, so you are obliged to do a long run and tie at the third main if you want to keep your grommets healthy! But i also think that the nearest the better in terms of tension maintenance!
Hi, i bougth this one last week, but she came with weight higher than the specs (326 g x 321 g, strung). With overgrip wilson pro the weight goes to 331. Do you know why this difference?
@@HerbBaird thank you! I'm a beginner, and playing tennis is a new world for me. Researching, I learned that the weight of the strings is different in different brands and gauges, as well as the influence of the string pattern. My worries about having bought a fake racket went away.
@@GabrielMedeiros I have had new racquets off the shelf vary as much as 20 grams and 3 balance points. It will not be long and you will get your first balance board and medical scale to start matching racquets. The University I string for gives players 3 new racquets per semester. I have never had an instance where any of the three matched, unless they paid for the matching service.

You can use a starting knot. I lime the cleaner look of finishing knots and do not like pulling directly against the grommet. There is nothing wrong with either method

The mains will be the same. Tie at 7T. Crosses are same other than there are only 16 and tie at either 12T
for the mains you tie off at T9 but Wilson recommend on their site to tie at T12, is there a difference ?
it is impossible to tie the mains at T12. There is no string in T12 to tie to. The mains only go to T11.

The printed specs are an average. You are lucky if you can find 2 of them same.

how many kilos did you add in the last mains before tying ?
My machine does a percentage. I add 10% on my last mains.

How many feet of string on this for the mains? How many feet of string for the crosses?
I pull around 21 feet for the mains and 19 feet for the crosses. That is an estimate.
I don’t know why Wilson’s official tie-offs are such terrible choices. T12? Like just look at it, it makes zero sense.
