Lived in B.C. and Alberta for 30 years. Came from the oregon coast and returned in 03. I miss B.C. every day. Watching your pictures of the mountains and such made me smile and cry at the same time. Thanks so much.
Is this from last summer? My initial thoughts were considering this is a travel vlog and there’s a pandemic going on I think it would’ve been good if you shared what you did to keep yourself and others safe. Especially since you went as a group and to my knowledge you don’t all live together back home. Apart from that I really enjoyed following along on your trip and the food looked so delicious 🤤😍
There was a period where the province she and I live in allowed for up to 10 cohorts per person. It’s now a lot stricter since either Nov or Dec I think.

As a Vancouverite I am pretty bummed to see you're travelling for vacation during a pandemic. I'm not sure if this was filmed at a much earlier time but it is discouraging to see. Also, I love Tofino, it is my vacation spot and they have been asking people not to vacation there until the travel restrictions are lifted. Pretty disappointed to see this.
And some people haven't left their apartment in over a year... apart from walks and three doctor's appointments!! Single mom with a 6 yo girl and 16 yo boy and they have sacrificed so much.
In the beginning it said that the video was filmed in September. I don't know about the rules in Canada but where I live it was completely okay to travel back in September because there were only few cases and therefore few restrictions. If the rules in Canada were stricter at that time, I obviously do not want to defend Rose as that would have been really inappropriate and irresponsible!

I have always loved your channel but I have to say vlogs like this during a pandemic don’t sit well with me, regardless of what the guidelines were at the time. Where I live there have been minimal guidelines but I still have barely left my home in a year because I’m being as careful as possible and people have been dying left and right. Seeing people go to restaurants etc is pretty upsetting.

Yes we do. I wear mine everywhere and all establishments require them to be worn indoors. At restaurants, you're supposed to wear them when going in and only take them off once you are seated at your table. I tend to wear a mask at all times even outdoors because a lot of the streets and areas can be densely populated.
I’m disappointed that you would promote road trips during a pandemic. Travel is supposed to be essential only. Pretty sure hikes and food are not essential. :(

I live in Ontario near the lake but I love Vancouver and especially Vancouver Island. So beautiful. The Ocean and the Mountains are so beautiful and we don't have those here. I love all your vegan options and now want to go on an eating Vancouver Vegan vacation :)
Nice timing I’m heading into Vancouver today, told my husband he could pick dinner tonight but I might have to steal that back😁 I really want to try Planetary Burger... vegan burgers, poutines, and milkshakes🤤 I also highly recommend MILA . Fully vegan versions of an array of dishes.
Loved the video! Vancouver has the best vegan food in Canada, Montreal a close 2nd. Nothing beats a Virtuous Pie Buffalo Cauliflower pizza and then some vegan gf donuts over at Cartems. Can't wait to come back to Calgary soon to check out your restaurant!
We can refuse plastic cutlery offered by takeaways. We can always carry metal cutlery of our own with us along with metal water bottles to avoid plastics
I agree about the mask-wearing in public but covid-19 is transmitted more easily through air than through food, so the donut doesn’t really make a difference since they spent the whole car ride all together maskless

Next time you should try Panago’s plant based pizza in Vancouver . They made it with daiya cheese. So yumm🤩 . Mediterranean and spicy Hawaiian pizazz are my favourite

I want to go to Quebec Canada first, but Vancouver is def runner up...there’s just only 3 months a year I feel like I can actually visit Canada without freezing to death 😂. Your channel def gave me inspiration to start my own☺️. Lol I’ve always looked at menus before going to a restaurant, but after going vegan, it’s like you have to make sure you look at EVERY ingredient on that menu 😂.
If you come to the west coast of BC ( Vancouver, Vancouver Island etc) it's the mildest part of Canada so the window is a lot bigger ( April - October). And very beautiful as you can see.

The biggest mistake most people make visiting Vancouver (my home town) is staying Downtown. The vegan options SUCK. Glad to see you ventured to a couple different neighbourhoods tho :)

There are several more but those are the ones I've tried and they're really good. Some more glamorous than others but the food speaks for itself! :)
I live in China and spent time all around Asia as the virus worsened here before returning in March as local authorities were getting it under control. We’ve had travel restrictions within-province but a largely free life since June of last year. I feel guilty since my American family has lived a far more restricted life, but I share my experience to remind people that each country, and regions within them, have handled the pandemic differently and with varying levels of restriction based on the time of year. TL; DR: your town’s situation may be different than hers. Don’t assume they’re under the same restrictions.
