When making a single serve of ramen with an uncooked sauce, I mix the sauce in the bowl I'll use for serving the noodles. That saves on a dish to clean and ensures none of the sauce is lost when transferring it to the noodles.
100% agree with you, Korean ramen is where it's at! The texture of the noodles is so much bouncier than other varieties. I also prefer the flavor typically. Also, green onion belongs on absolutely everything. It's just the perfect garnish. Although my partner thinks I'm a bit excessive with them xD I go through at least three bunches a week.
I made the peanut butter one and added seaweed, sesame seeds, and some leftover corn. My sister and I loved it! Going to try the other 2 soon :) thanks for the recipes!
@@jbell9179 Broccoli is great too. Sometimes I add a little shredded carrot to the top for color. I usually top it with roasted unsalted peanuts to add some protein.
I cannot believe that Koreans named a noodle dish after my home town Toowoomba. I have fond memories of working with many Korean visa workers when I lived there. 😀❤️🇦🇺
This video comes at the right time! Right now I‘m completely stuck in an instant ramen phase and have it almost every day 😅 this has been going on since January and I‘m still not sick of it. Definitely going to try your recipes though for some variation!
I made and tried the Vegan Toowoomba with kimchi ramen base, I love it. While eating I had a flash to add green peas, it was very good. I ate a side of cubed radish kimchi. And for the cheese I added the Gusta cheese block in "regular" flavor. A keeper!
There's a vegan chicken powder from Trader Joe's. My cousin got it for me, and it's sooo good!! 🤤 I never know where to get ramen noodles though, because it comes in a regular seasoning packaging without the noodles.
I make something similar to your ramen with garlic and oil, only I use vegan butter and saute diced onion and garlic, then put the ramen into it. So good. Will have to try the other two minus the hot spices. Thanks again for the ideas for ramen noodles, love them.
I found puffed tofu at my local Asian market. It was inexpensive but works great for protein for ramen I think. Also I didn't have to cook it. Just heat up in the sauce. :)
Total Shego vibes with today’s outfit/makeup/hair, love it! These all look so good, I’m definitely trying the second one asap. I also add garlic powder after adding chopped garlic because... well, you can never have enough garlic. 😭😍
They all look delish!! I can't wait to try them. I was hoping to make it for lunch today but was sad to find I don't have any raman in my cabinet. Will have to stop at store tonight. I know what's for dinner. Which of these were your personal favorite, Rose? I'm predicting I'll like the last one, best, but am eager to try all three. These are real "comfort foods."
Thank you for sharing this. I just recently got into vegan ramen noodles and it's good to know there are different ways to make them. Everything looks delish. 😋
I have never eaten instant ramen and honestly, I have no desire to. HOWEVER, I feel like these hacks are amazing anyways :D Plus, I just love your content Rose so there is no bad video of yours :D . Sending you all the love! Stay safe and have a wonderful end of the week!
@@miunya You know, I am from a completely different culture and they have never been a thing in my family so luckily I don't feel like I am missing out. But you are probably right, better for me ;P
Just tried the peanut butter one today! So easy, yummy, and filling! This is going to be my go-to when I’m lazy but need to resist ordering takeout lol. Thank you so much for sharing!
I have heard people say that broth is weird and why would that be in ramen. When I heard that I was so confused because I grew up with the packaged ramen that is cooked in water which makes the broth. And that's usually my favorite part 👀
Rose I’m also Canadian, could you please help me out with which ramen products are vegan? It’s so hard for me to find info on the internet about it but I love instant ramen so much.
I definitely will have to try those ramen noodle recipes because I love noodles just like i love Cheap Lazy Vegan video's. I will be adding green (spring) onions on to it.
I use to make Instant Noodle Stir fries. So easy. Love them. These all look good. Black Beans and Ramen, I think would be yummy. I've also have made Mushrooms with Ramen Noodles. So good. I need to get some of those noodles. They look larger and bigger then ours. I always add half the season pack. Too salty. A lot of these on Amazon are almost out of stock. Haha. Last one looked really good.
Nissen Top Ramen has two vegetarian/vegan flavors: Chili and Soy Sauce flavor. We really like them and always dress them up with whatever veggies and vegan protein we have on hand.
My immediate family makes ramen in a bowl using a kettle to boil water. If we add something that needs more heating, we stick in the microwave. Every time I see people making ramen in a pot, I wonder if I can overcome my laziness and the answer is no...
My favorite is using either baked tofu or some scrambled just egg drizzled with sesame oil and chopped peanuts to top my ramen. I always add some napa cabbage into the hot broth because it’s cheap but adds a lot of freshness to the dish
I just made ramen and it's so good but so weird, other than the noodles the ingredients are: from a pan: - spicy garlic kimchi - garlic - ginger - jalapeno - black beans on top: - green onion - soy sauce - sour cream
Rose, I think your "Entering Veganism" video is hilarious (I watched on IG). So creative and Oscar worthy acting! 😆 Oh, I liked all the Ramen recipe ideas here, too but you're gonna end up killing me with the spice! (Wimpy white girl here can't handle spicy foods 😁)
My tip is to always add it in right before you add your sauce or something a hell of a lot more moist like mushrooms. Just 2-3 minutes are enough on medium-high, stir it every like 30 seconds and you will be good😊.
hahaha i dunno, the noodles are a bit chewier, i think? and the broth is so tasty & nice and spicy.. and probably cause I'm korean so i'm biased (grew up with this type of ramen)
No Rose, you're not biased. I prefer Korean ramen too, it's soo much better in texture and taste 🧡
Samyang is so good!

I cut spinach into strips and add it to pasta and ramen at the last minute. It's nutritious and looks great.
I love to add broccoli to mine but I think I will try the spinach idea too. Thanks!

Ooo just bought miso. Tofu is a staple. Thanks for the idea!
sounds delicious! please tell me how you make the miso tofu 🥺
Me too. Also I like to drain the noodles, add some peanut sauce and crushed peanuts and something spicy.
“Just keep it plant based oookay?” Hahaha I love you
How do you come up with all those ideas?! So creative! 😍💚

We use the "chicken" flavour packet when making creamy mushroom pasta/noodles. Using noodles and adding stuff to it is always a shout!
