Dolph once said in a swedish interview that he took steroids for his role as He-Man. He said he tried it out but it made him feel very bad physically. He never mentioned of taking anything for his role in Rocky 4.
He looked natural in Rocky 4, but you could tell in He-Man he just focused on bulking and not so much on getting ripped. The steroids obviously helped his heavy weight training he did for He-Man.
He admitted to taking the stuff, so no doubt he took it for Rocky 4, he was huge and shredded. There is no way to gain that kind of weight naturally, you have to jack your genes and the only way to do that is with PEDs.
Excellent review ! I'm concluding now that if Dolph wanted to take it next level and forget the movie business ,he could have competed on a few amateur BB shows . With that height and mass, and the training connections he was making, for sure could have been in background of several classic Gold's Venice training vids 💪 Shame there's no footage of Sly and Dolph training together..just rad pics.
Yeah probably at an amateur level but in the 80s there were far too many guys who were more filled out than Dolph. Dolph had. A great athletic physique
What is strange, Dolph Lundgern had almost 0 bodybuilding experience, but in the movie his role has been positioned exactly as a bodybuilder without 0 boxing experience like Stallone.
he used steroids when making Rocky IV and he-man then stopped using steroids PPL Split, less carbs more fat and cardio (walking) before AM workout, and before PM workout is what nattys should do.
Dolph has by nature a huge frame. Definitely weighted way more than 200. I myself weigh 210 being 6'1and I'm nowhere near as big as him. 240 is very plausible.
@@danfors1333 i respectfully disagree with his claim of being 240lbs. Arnold competed at around 235lbs. No way was Dolph close to Arnold's size although similar in height.
@@neilgabriel1436 Arnold was 6'2 while Dolph was 6'5. That a big difference. Arnold was 235lbs while dehydrated on stage, otherwise he would weigh 260lbs off-season.

This is what I have read too and I believe Dolph
@@taoist32 yep, roids on He man

Absolutely, I had to dig deep though to find out the actual exercises which have never been explained before

You need to preppar bolo young's info , too
Man these movies were my childhood! CARLOS 🙏❤
Was it Dolph that nearly ended Stallones career?
Stallone sustained a concussion from hell.
What is strange, Dolph Lundgern had almost 0 bodybuilding experience, but in the movie his role has been positioned exactly as a bodybuilder without 0 boxing experience like Stallone.
Rambo and Drago Best physique😊also Van Damme
👍
Very basic really!!but it worked!!!!
He was well underweight due to martial arts, so it was easy for him to bulk up and cut
..and steroids.
How a guy his size could have gained so much weight eating just that?
He had at least as good a physique in Red Scorpion and was bigger and better in Masters of the Universe.
I’d be surprised if Dolph was 240lbs

His physique in rocky was good but to me his physique in he man was better
No way he weighed 240lbs !
200lb at tops
I think you are wrong there. I weigh 230 and if I lost 30lbs I would almost be as lean but definitely wouldn't be as muscular as he was at that time.

I wonder if they will leave out all the steroid use..
What about the drugs? We all know they were flowing!
Roids💀
Why are you embarrassing yourself?
Because he probably injected them in his head
@@GoldenEraBookworm 😅😅
Everyone takes steroids so really it doesn't matter
The jealous always seemed to blame roids for the hard work that other men do think of roids as a hopped up vitamin you still have to exercise.
