Question for you. I facelift my Gen 1 Audi R8 to Gen 2 (2020 taillights) and the turn signal bar blinks. Is there a way to code a 2014 R8 to make the sweep turn signal va solid blink? Or a module I can wire in externally?
And all of my experience with Audis and Volkswagens the answer is yes but you have to make sure it has the same airbag connector. The easiest way to check if you don't know what yours looks like is to look at eBay for a used one and screenshot it and then look at the one you want and screenshot it and make sure all the colors and wires are the same.
Thanks man I really appreciate it! unfortunately you will have to acquire Dynamic tail lights, changing just code alone will not add this function. The good news is, it's not that hard of a job, and once you acquire the new tail lights you can sell your OEM tail lights in recover a good portion of the cost, that's what I did anyway
I'm sorry I don't have a list of the original oh, you can get most of it from this video If you pause and zoom in at each step otherwise I don't have that information. Once I modify something it stays that way and I'll drive this car until the wheels fall off
I'm not the best person to ask for this, wish I could help more but off the cuff You'd have to see what coding you have in your car 1st and compare. You will also probably need the dynamic version of your Taillights
Hi Mike, so to be completely honest I was very hesitant to post the list because it came with the tail lights I got from shop dap, I haven't posted it because I feel like that's a breach of trust because you have to buy the tail lights to get the paperwork. That said if you followed the video everything I show in here is all you need to do
@@96ej thanks for answering. I made my own list but it was not necessary. I connected the tail lights with an aliexpress harness and no coding was needed just the 12v power for the dynamic blinkers. So I was quite happy as a local company wanted 100$ for the coding
@@mikeb7941 heck yeah that is awesome! It's funny you say that because after I bought mine I saw that I could get the ones from AliExpress and the description said that they needed no coding. Not a bad route to go if you ask me
@@mikeb7941 I also used the AliExpress harness, the lights work perfectly but for some reason I have a constant turn signal bulb error on my dash. Did you also face this issue?
@@LamboAudiMerc Hi, so I bought the aliexpress harness and connected to my car. No mods needed via vcds. Additional cable needed to get the + connected in my trunk to the light in the trunk. The only downside is that once I unlock my car from the key the first indicator of my turn lights does not flash as dynamic but flashes as a whole. The next one goes dynamic. I didnt want to run that additional + cable to the fuse box as it was too much of a hussle. Once the car is on the turn signals act ac normal(dynamic) no errors at all
Do you perhaps have the original names of the coding to revert back to stock?
Any chances of finding a pdf of the changes?

@@CrazyCowboyBuilds have you tried the ross-tech forum? Lots of great ciders on there
Will this work for a 2016 Audi A8L ? US spec
Probably not unfortunately, alibaba might have some plug and play for you
Do you know how to do the headlights so they are dynamic indicators?
The only way I know is to open up the headlights and go with aftermarket dynamic strips
You’ll need matrix headlights
Can this be done to any S3? I’m ignorant in this matters
100% same same
@@96ej I would really love to know!
@@luisfmoreno it's the same process
Perhaps you should master this before creating a tutorial video
Don't let me stop you from making your own
Hi, do i have to change lights or it can be done just with coding?
So if you get the aftermarket lights from ebay or alibaba then no coding needed. If you go with oem you'll need to facelift dynamic lights.
do you know if it could be done to audi a4 b9?

How do you know what to look for and change? The function names make no sense to me. Can you please tell where have you learned this?
Came with the instructions for the taillights.
Alibaba has some plug and play units now fwiw

Might not be too long with the amount of wheel bearing failures this chassis has😅
Will this work on the b8.5 s5
