    I just bought this exact model. Same case and bracelet. Retails $3900 USD. The clasp is much better now. Milled clasp and the hinge is now fully milled as well. Has same clasp set up as the Aquaracer line up. At almost 4k it better! 😂 I love mine.

      Yeah, that’s an indictment against TAG rather than any praise. Took them years and $1000 increase to provide a fair clasp 😂🤣

    Hi guys, just a quick update - I saw that this is now available at my local Authorized Dealer (Mazuchelli's), so I'm guessing it's now available at dealers across the country.

    My last Tag was a 2000 Professional (quartz) which battled on over 15 years of being hammered on my wrist. I am a Marine Master of Ships and this watch was outstanding, never let me down. So I have a desire to find another appropriate Tag for the next 15 years.

      Thanks for sharing that Bruce, what an awesome test of service! I myself wore a 3000 series quartz for about 8 years thorough high school. Would you consider an automatic for the next one?

    Hi , i bought a Tag formula 1 chronograph with white dial and red hands , with the red and green Tag logo it cost £1050 english pounds back then ,, still going strong and looks like new , never worn much and never to work , it is now a sentimental watch as my wife bought it me for a valentines present, 2003,, cheers shane uk

      @PerthWAtch  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for sharing that Shane! 2003... I wonder if that's a quartz then? As I understand it the Formula 1 range started out exclusively quartz but in recent years they have introduced automatic movements into the range.

    This one model I am considering. The first Tag I purchased was back in 2008. It was $1,200 at that time and it was an aqua racer. I was in my early 20’s and saved two months to purchase this watch. It was my first, at that time a Swiss luxury watch I purchased. I loved it, and it has served me well for a long time. I’m thinking about purchasing this watch now but would like your insight for the dollar amount if you feel there is a better model or brand I should look into. I’m somewhat able to purchase a Rolex but I haven’t looked into them in detail and the ones I am interested in are out of my budget. Thanks

    • @PerthWAtch
      @PerthWAtch  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think if you've gotten a TAG as your first watch, I would consider something else for your next significant purchase. If you're looking for a true go anywhere, do anything watch... take a look at *Omega Seamaster* (either the Professional 300m or Aqua Terra models) or perhaps *Breitling Chronomat 40mm* models. At these price levels you'd try to get a manufacture movement, rather than a generic one.
      It depends also on budget... for lower range can consider *Longines Conquest* or *Ball Engineer* range.
      However, if you really have to have a chronograph, then you'd have to be prepared to fork out more for a manufacture movement... maybe checkout *Zenith* ?

    • @PerthWAtch

      £1600 is certainly significantly cheaper than what I paid for here in Oz.

      Draw Content they saw you coming! £2600 for a watch with a stamped clasp? This is cost cutting at its worse and a massive rip off. Plenty of better quality watches out there for a lot less - you could have got a GS FFS!

    • @PerthWAtch
      @PerthWAtch  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, thanks for sharing that. 2000... hmm I'm guessing that would be a quartz model? The Formula 1 range certainlu has "matured" over time and some of the current models more closely align with their main lines rather than the casual orientated nature that F1 started as.

    • @dragonnetx
      @dragonnetx 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Perth WAtch yes mate it’s a Quartz and not as good looking as yours, it’s still working perfectly fine though without any service since it’s with me. It’s battery operated that I gotta change the battery once a year that’s the hassle I dislike. After all it’s still a watch worth having. Thanks for sharing mate.

    • @PerthWAtch
      @PerthWAtch  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for getting back to me about that Paul - curious to hear you have to change battery every year. I have a 1980's quartz Tag Heuer which last change using a Swiss made battery lasted 4 years! Check out video on changing it myself here: th-cam.com/video/LNfCF8PyHwA/w-d-xo.html

    • @dragonnetx
      @dragonnetx 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Perth WAtch yeah I change my battery every year mate. I would rather change the battery once a year to keep it in a perfect working condition. This watch means too much to me not because of any other reason. It a gift from my wife that makes it so valuable only to me. By the way mate, I gotta apologize that I misinterpreted the year 2000. It’s actually year 2007 formula 1 model. For that watch I’ve said year 2000 is my tissot which is also a gift from my wife. I’m sorry for the mixup

    • @dragonnetx
      @dragonnetx 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Perth WAtch I would always change the batteries of my 3 watches all together at the same go to play it safe that the batteries wouldn’t leak after it finished its lifespan that may destroy the components. Well, batteries are cheap isn’t it lol. I don’t wear the watches but I’ve kept them in my safe due to sentimental values. It may sound stupid but that’s my character keeping something scratchless in order to admire it in my own pleasure.

      @@IskanderVFX Well technically the 'TAG' part of the company did make F1 engines at one point. There were Porsche-designed TAG-built V6 Turbo's in the 80's supplied to McLaren which more or less dominated until forced induction was outlawed. That 'TAG' part is no longer the same company anymore, though. Or at least isn't controlled by the same stock holders.
