Spraying starting fluid on the turbo side of the intake wasn’t helping because the intercooler boot is disconnected on the drivers side. It’s not making it to the engine.
Hey guys, the inlet manifold is on the other side of the engine and the intercooler pipe is unhooked!! Spray some go juice in there, it will probably kick into life.
Hank the inter cooler pipe is unhooked from the outlet side of the inter cooler lol. Love the videos guys keep them coming. I would like to see more Detroit will it starts. They are always the interesting ones!
This is one of those times I wish I was there. The actual intake is on the other side. It come out of the turbo there the intercooler and it the intake on the other side.
Hank & willy you need to check the Jake brake it could be stuck & holding the VALVES OPEN that's why the engine turns over free (NO COMPRESSION) I've started those engine with broken rings & it started up easy!!!
Ok, I’m gonna say the same thing probably 35 people have said. Wiley, your staying the starting fluid into nowhere! The intercooler is clearly unhooked at the top on the driver side. Spray it into the intake side of the unhooked intercooler tube! Good luck, and thank you for your awesome videos!!
Excellent video Hank :) , Wiley :) also maybe have take fuel filters off put Automatic transmission with fuel mix together and boost batteries too ! That one be tuff turkey get started up for sure and hopefully come back to it again try again too soon!
Hello Hank and Wylie. I like the Twin stick. But suggest. Using a apparatus made for handicapped. (No fun intended. Cup for elbow on high-low and wrist to shift
Thanks for another great video Hank and Wiley. It was interesting. The old Mack was tired. Did not want to start for you. Hard telling what the problem is. Looks pretty beat up. You tried and that counts. Some just are not going to run. Thanks for trying guys. Next time. Thanks for everything hank and Wiley. Take care. The Iowa Farm Boy.
I'm sure someone has mentioned this already. But I couldn't figure what Wiley was doing to the turbo. You already know that is was air to air, and I noticed that one of the tubes coming out of the air to air on the driverside was pulled off. Thus air was being pulled in through the intake. That's where Wiley should have been spraying the ether. I think ya'll need to take another stab at that old Mack. I know for sure not to be Wiley....lol. Hank, keep the jokes rolling. Some of them are pretty funny. The girlfriend and broken glasses gave me a good chuckle!
Here's something that has always bothered me...when people are working on a car they say, "mash the gas pedal", but when people are working on a truck, they never say "mash the diesel" or "give it some diesel" I've always wondered about that. 🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good effort, gentlemen!!! How 'bout that John Deere! I bet that would go! Thanks for sharing!
Everybody said already what ya'll were doin wrong but ya'll need to make sure theres oil in that crankcase. And start a blood drive for wiley on account of he looses about a pint every video!
and if shell come around gotta spin her faster hank and whiley hook up a jumper to somethan and get more cranking amps then if the heat builds up enouf shell fire but gotta go faster ole rings stuck a lil
Love your videos Guys ..just wish you could get more of them running ..rather then keeping us fans on the edge of our seats for a hour or so only to find out ..nope this one isn’t gonna start lol ..just sayin
Fuel + compression. It's getting plenty of fuel. Not enough compression to get it to combust and fire. And it would seem that if it wouldn't lock up with the starting fluid and fuel, its lacking compression to even lock.
Just wanted to let you know I watch your videos all the time it happens most often I want to watch it over a Android box I will subscribe and like a video it seems like I have to subscribe and like every time cuz when I watch the next video on the next day I'm not subscribed to it anymore I am not doing that I don't know what the problem is

Sounds like a valve or two are stuck open fellas!
I was thinking maybe a screw or 2 loose 😉 but will stick with the more diplomatic approach from Wes 😂
The intake pipe is unhooked on the drivers side. Spray the go go juice in that side.
and you are told to start a mack with the foot feed on the FLOOR!!

Hellow guys good luck with the mack
I love the way you guys banter back and forth.

Can't feed fuel into charge side if intercooler and piping isn't hooked up
Thanks!
Thank you sir!

Hello Hank and Wylie. I like the Twin stick. But suggest. Using a apparatus made for handicapped. (No fun intended. Cup for elbow on high-low and wrist to shift
well hank you poured oil in did you look under the truck see if its running the bottom great video
you are puting either in the wrong pipe the one to the engien is unhooked on the drivers side
These 2 clowns need some training
Your charge pipe on drivers side is off the inter cooler!!
Wily the intake is on the other side
Drivers side spray either directly into the intake. You are spraying the charge from the turbo 👍👍
I love the Yale joke Hank, but you killed it with the Bon Jovi joke. 😂
Hey Hank when you are checking the cabs of truck's could you show what cb radio's are in them? Thanks
Good Afternoon Gentlemen, I hope you are having a great day today everyone 😊 !
Hank cracks himself up! 😂
Wow that truck has been trashed.
NICE INTRO FELLAS I LOVE IT!!! and yes i was yellin. LOL
Thanks you Mr hank
Watch out Wiley he got that dull chain saw again!!!
Very good job and God bless y'all
Stuck valves. You can hear it blowing out intake
wiley the chain saw joke was the best love you guys LOL
Thanks for another great video Hank and Wiley. It was interesting.

Some just are not going to run.

Hey Wiley you are one patient man. You pretty much sorted all the heavy lifting with those batteries
Hank and Wiley appreciate the videos 👍
We appreciate you watching and supporting the channel

Great effort
Hank create a thumbnail with you standing beside your tooltruck with Wiley holding his little toolbox...lol...
when you are trying to start those engines and they are low on oil do you use? used oil from like an oil change
@19:25...
I have to say....
That was a good one Hank.
I laughed for 15 minutes.
Spray on the turbo outlet... check
Don't be wiley ahah
Love your videos ;)
Mack changed its dash colors to Grey in 1985-86 before that all R models were tan with a couple at the earliest models being green in color.
Wiley and Hank i do believe that motor has issues.
Lol ok you got me with that one hank...yale
caint win them all, I guess. You two sure tried your best. good luck on that grader!
First off spray, the ether in the correct hole😂😂😂😂😂😂
The compression release is probably stuck, someone had worked on it before you guys got to it.
MaRaT 😀👍
Sounds like it don't have any compression. Is the compression release closed?
Wiley it’s hard to find decent help. Some hot batteries and good charger it’ll roll
Either spraying the outlet of turbo not the inlet. Air filter side is always the suction side to spray
If these trucks could talk they'd thank you man
Fr
Why are you spraying stater fluid in the discharge of the turbo????
Tubes are unhooked GUY'S
Yail ....yob ...that was pretty good!!
Stay away from Hank and that saw Wily.. you don't wanna lose a digit or a leg
Hanks plum dangerous.
That's why it was parked it sounds like it could use some compression
The intake is unhooked on the driver's side
Wrong side of air intake. The hot sauce goes in on the driver side of the engine.
Intercooler not hooked up on the left side
dumping ether in the turbo does nothing guys...it's gotta go in the engine intake...which is disconnected
Ya, thank you 4 YORE APPRECIATION to your subscribers Hank!!!😮
We didn't have to see his eyes roll, we heard them :P
and if shell come around gotta spin her faster hank and whiley hook up a jumper to somethan and get more cranking amps then if the heat builds up enouf shell fire but gotta go faster ole rings stuck a lil
Could the exhaust pipe be plugged up ?…
I watch your videos every day I subscribe but I have to resubscribe almost every day
Dang Wiley needs a hard hat and ear protection when working with Hank. Falling truck hoods and foul jokes😂
Man that Wiley sure is a brave soul 😂
Good try guys maybe next time you and Wiley will get it going
Hi hank from west Alabama
Will there be a part two to this
low compression the loop sound of the engine tells me that
You need them color Red and black wire.
Sounds like there's no compression in the motor or the valves are stuck open
Love your videos Guys ..just wish you could get more of them running ..rather then keeping us fans on the edge of our seats for a hour or so only to find out ..nope this one isn’t gonna start lol ..just sayin
We film it. We don't decide the outcome. Win some. Lose some. Thanks for watching us👍
Looks like it was getting compression because the exhaust was coming out the back of the turbo
could be valve....but it ran at beginning....it was trying to fire...more batteries to spin it faster.
Fuel + compression. It's getting plenty of fuel. Not enough compression to get it to combust and fire. And it would seem that if it wouldn't lock up with the starting fluid and fuel, its lacking compression to even lock.
Exhaust plugged?? Wasn't smoking out pipe, but by Exhaust clamp
At least you gave it all Don, it’s just a lost cause 👍👍😎😎🍮🍮
Why is it out off oil
O well i was wrong. It sounds like no compression the exhaust vales are not moving or the fuel injectors are no good.
Sir I think that it is the battery I don't think that they are strong enough to start the truck. Just thinking
Ya doesn't sound like it has good compression
Sounds like it has low compression or stuck valves
I'm not a mechanic but how about checking for spark
i repeat you are spraying into the outlet of turbo not the air inlet of the engine
pas de compression...vu en france...
Almost sounds like a compression release is open .
the batteries might not have enough power to crank it but it's my guess
Spray your spray on the other side😂
What spray would that be??? 😂
It's a Mack you guys can get it running
go to 10.42 in the video....spray into that tube.
Hey wily look closely at the video you're going to kick hank in the butt
Either goes in intake not turbo in cooler wasn't even hooked on the intake
You guys are funny making it so we all comment😂
Try the anti wasp spray not the ether!! 💨💨🐝🐝 🤓🤓😉
You aren't getting ether in the engine! Put it in the pipe thats unhooked on the other side.
Maybe it has to have more oil pressure.
Sounds like the valves are stuck
