One of the main purposes of blackstrap molasses is the high iron content…. Regular molasses has some iron, but nowhere near as much as blackstrap. If you’ve ever bought a liquid iron fertilizer I would almost bet it’s just blackstrap molasses! I could be wrong though!!

The grass can't use the molasses directly, it has to be broken down first. Molasses is food for the microbial life in your soil. Healthy microbial life,= healthy soil, = healthy plants.
