Sources for a different history 01 - Introduction

📚😱 Accessing and interpreting sources can be a difficult task, and it has been the job of historians to do both for us in order to create a coherent narrative of our past. Sadly, this has rendered the public entirely reliant on the class of scholars, and deprived of the tools that could help them engage in the understanding of our past. The main goal of this series of videos is to provide both the sources and the tools that people need in order to analyse and undertand historical sources. As for the materials, I'll be focusing on texts I use in my Contemporary Arab World course, my Contemporary Spanish History course and my Cultures and Religions: Muslims, Jews and Christians in Southern Europe course.
