There is no such 3rd member. Su, Yui, Moa IS BABYMETAL. That's how it was intended from the creation. The empty throne is just to honor, not a teaser to introduce someone.
Great reaction. You definitely got it, this was the intro - 'Metal Kingdom' is the opening track on the album - so of course they used it for the epic theatrical opening number at their concerts two weeks ago - their first live shows in nearly 2 years. This was the live performance but with the studio audio - the video was released less than a week after the concerts they filmed it at, so it is understandable why it has the studio audio. We will have to wait for the DVD for the live audio. The way the stage was set up - there was an east stage where the Kami Band were and a west stage where Su started here sitting on her throne (there were 3 thrones). Joining the east and west stages was that huge walkway with the audience either side ... two front rows and both of them really long - so many people could benefit ... and on that was the moving stage which travelled along the walkway and also rose up and down. I understand Su, Moa and Momoko spent most of their time on the moving stage. Well done persevering with the guide, we'll all be looking forward to that as well as the other two songs they released before this one ... apparently 'Monochrome' (the second of those two) was the real highlight of these concerts.
Good reaction, thanks! "Metal Kingdom" is the third digital single but it's the first track on the album and they used it as a show opener for their two last concerts where these visuals come from. Yes, its an introductory theme and I see it as a glorious harangue before the battle. And yes they flew drones inside a packed venue to get that footage... I'm a little concerned about safety but I guess it's kinda okay. 😱 About to enjoy my local Voll-Damm, cheers!
Best part re: Su's vocals here, is this is the studio track with live footage. The bootlegs we have heard from the live version, she sounds EVEN BETTER. She has no limits.
She had a few vocal wobbles particularly on the first night on a couple of the new songs. Some people have speculated that there were technical issues with her in-ear monitors, but I also think she was nervous or emotional performing for the first time in nearly two years and doing a brand new songs for the first time in front of the fans. She sounded much more confident as the concert went on, and sounded perfect on the older songs. I suspect she just needs the chance to perform the new ones more and really nail down the live performance of the new tracks. She was noticeably better on the second night, and I have no doubt she will have it on lock by the time to the Sabaton tour is over.
I was at both nights, and it was absolutely amazing to see them perform live. They are even more incredible live than video can really convey. We all nearly lost our minds on multiple occasions during the show as it got more and more ridiculously spectacular. This opener was a mind blowing start, then they hit us later on with the Doki Doki Morning! swerve, smacked us in the feels with Monochrome, exhausted us with Headbangerrr!!!, IDZ, RoR back to back, then gobsmacked us with the revelation at the end of the second night that a new metal will be born at Yokohama on Fox Day.
Metal Kingdom is the first track off the new album The Other One and the show opener The "scissors"/infinity staffs represents the Other One There is album teaser of all ten songs Metal Kingdom is the first song followed by Divine Attack which was the first song released as a visualizer The second song released was Monochrome, it is a lyric video(English subs) not sure what track off the album it is (8) th-cam.com/video/B4BnHuqzCO0/w-d-xo.html album teaser
At the end of the second show last month the third member appeared but her identity is unknown because she was obscured to the audience. Everything will be revealed when they play their next shows on Fox Day April 1st in Japan. Interestingly those shows will happen in Yui's hometown(Koba's way of f'ing with the fans obviously 😝) the betting money though is on Momoko being the third member . For now only the Fox God knows who it will be 🦊🤘

The Fox Gate has been open... Let the METAL KINGDOM come!🙌 -NotACult- 🦊🤘👑 Thanks for coming back with this new BM song and first official MV of this year after a long time. They're returning with a more mature sound and a new BM side we've never seen before. This is why BabyMetal have no match among any other Japanese artists, top notch worldwide. Many others are finding Game Of Thrones resemblance on this stage setup, it looks out of this world. The ten prophets are holding crosiers with "The Other One" logo which is similar to the infinite symbol "OO" and is the title of upcoming 4th album. The girls are carrying some kind of trident similar to the Spear Of Destiny or Lance Of Longinus from Evangelion series, if you know MoaMetal you know you gotta be careful with her. 🔱 Here's some official info about this song: METAL KINGDOM (THRONE) _It is a powerful anthem ushering in the beginning of a new era while also representing the power and courage to step forward into uncharted territory. The track conveys imagery of one rising powerfully from the throne of silence, with a suitable fanfare announcing this new beginning._ At the end of January at Makuhari Messe they held two great live shows returning to the stage after almost two years. and by far they meet up my expectations with this epic live performance and top notch production. SuMetal and MoaMetal showing why they're a queen and princess deserving their thrones. The cinematic drone shots are making this looks like a movie and is fantastic. We were expecting this live proshot version but we'll have to wait next month for live sound. We got so many big news and announcements, a new official member is coming (most likely Momoko Okazaki and she really deserves it) next live shows in April 1st (Fox Day) when returning once again with another headlining shows at PIA ARENA MM Yokohama. Also they performed with a new BM mirror unit coming from another world of this metalverse, so we're guessing maybe some of the older kawaii metal songs they don't play anymore will be back with this new unit, so stay tuned for more but like always OTFGK. There was some minor issues when SuMetal was singing this live a little bit off, apparently an IEM issue or something but is all good coz we all know it's been a while since performing live and is the premiere of this song, pretty sure next live shows will be better. You can find the official lyrics pinned in the comments but here's the lyrics translated for you in my next reply. Thanks for sharing this and don't forget to put your kitsune up!🦊🤘👑

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 This video is from Makuhari shows on Jan.28 /29. I witnessed both shows at the venue. You saw one octagonal movable / elevatable stage but actually there were two identical stages for more surprising production. Several drones with camera were flying around all over the venue. Once this opening song by Su and Moa got started, I had goosebumps all over my body. The show was held after the almost 2-year long hiatus after all. Seriously many of audience were moved to tears and/or dropped their jaws when the gigantic fox wall opened and the thrones came out. Yeah! I chanted all through the song. ♪ Oh oh oh o o o ♪. What a happy experience!! The Kami band was playing on the east stage that was not captured in this video. After this grave opening, 3 girls performed 12 songs with Momoko Avenger. You saw 3 thrones. @@tonygriffin_ Thank you. The new era of Babymetal has begun and this song was the opening ceremony for the concert so to speak, they went back to the choreography after this including bringing out an alternate version of themselves from when they were younger to sing Doki Doki Morning with them. To say this was a wild return to performing live would be an understatement, but we would expect nothing less from Babymetal 🦊🤘
I don't know if they picked the right girls. But I love the idea of having younger girls do their earlier songs if they don't want to. I'd love to see songs like Onedari Daisakusen be on the setlist again.
This is the new anthem. Similar vibe to "The One" song. I rather prefer this one by far, both the immense sound and the powerful message. And Su's commanding vocals here are amazing resonating in the whole venue.
They'll never had anyone else represented as BABYMETAL. It simply goes against what BABYMETAL is conceptually. BM is not a band with members, BM is literally Su, Yui and Moa. Them as a whole is what BM is. Is not a group BM of which they belong, but rather they are BM. This is not a band, in the sense of the band's name being what matters. like it is the case for most traditional bands. Here the name BABYMETAL just means a "newborn metal style". Is them 3 what matters because that's how it was intended. And that's why they are only presented as Su and Moa now. Is Yui or no one baby.
A lot of this song brings to mind Daft Punk and the "Tron: Legacy" soundtrack, and Gregorian chant music. But, in my humble opinion, if someone had played this for me without me knowing who it was, I would have never guessed it was BABYMETAL. It doesn't sound like BABYMETAL. In fact, I was of the same opinion for much of their third album "Metal Galaxy". It, and the three tracks released thus far from their "The Other One" album, just doesn't sound "BABYMETAL-ish" - it lacks the kawaii that BABYMETAL's first two albums had. Those first two albums made metal music FUN. It is as if Yuimetal took the kawaii with her when she left the band. They are trying WAY too hard to make these new tracks sound "epic", and BABYMETAL isn't about "epic", they're about having fun. To me, their starting to sound like just another metal band.
So far I'm disappointed with this new direction that BABYMETAL seems to be taking but then we've only heard three of the ten tracks on "The Other One" album; perhaps the other seven are more kawaii . . . but I'm not holding my breath. After all, the title of the new album has the word "other" which, in my mind, means "not the same". 🦊🤘

Raise your head to the lord.
Raise your sword to the sky
Raise your fists. Let’s be together...
