I’d love to be able to build an enclosure as beautiful as this, I’ve watched your building of it and started to pull a list of requirements together and keeping an eye out for equipment needed, I might get there one day haha
I have said this before but I will say it again. That mourning gecko enclosure looks amazing 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
First off I absolutely LOVE your channel and 2 things I FREAKING LOVE LOVE The Mourning Gecko Species ever since I found out about this Gecko Type, The Mourning Geckos are my favorite geckos now! I have just recently have heard about these Girls and once I heard a smidge about this Gecko and their care isn't super hard and can be in smaller enclosure and still can be naturalistic/bioactive!!! Over all everything about these GIRLS are Super Rad and I have been and still am kinda going down the rabbit hole on these Geckos before I actually find a local breeder and purchase a small group/colony. I definitely want 2 or more any suggestions on how many to start with??? I'm asking this because of not needing a male for mating and conditions for breeding seems to be pretty simple as long as I have their day to day husbandry so they thrive then they will lay eggs frequently so that's why i was thinking no more then 2 or 3!! Also if anything I have said here is wrong Please correct me I am just learning and keeping notes on everything so I wanna be as close to perfect on how I care for and house My new Gecko Girl's when I have all the information I need and all the supplies housing, food misting systems etc..... Thank you for your RAD Channel and if you can help or give me any advice!!
Amazing knowledge you have . It's all spot on but if you want egg production defo go for 3 to start with. With only 2 there is not courting but with 3 it really spurs them on.
Every time you said, just put him in there, or he's gonna go just there I kept saying SHE SHE SHE in my head. They're all females But I do love the mourning geckos and I am just starting up my little colony of 4, shipped all the way from the UK to Canada because they are so hard to find here
Closing the vents at the top of the exo terra wasnt enough for mine, the spot the slider comes out from leaves a hole down into the top of the enclosure. Had to add more superglue. Ive got the 12x12x18 tho
I bought 3 baby ones less than a week ago and one of them died today.. I have no idea why tho as they’re all active eating and drinking but I came home today to find one pale white and upside down dead. The other 2 are fine and active but I can’t see that I’ve done anything wrong 😐 bit bummed
@@NORTHERNEXOTICS I think it might have just been a weak gecko. They were only young maybe 3 months if that so I think I’ve just got unlucky as the other 2 are doing fine.
That is awesome!! Looking forward to sorting mine out eventually I got 1 and it has just laid its first clutch of eggs and I'm well excited lol I think u should call her stumpy or nubby lol xxxx
I think I'd call your new baby Newt Scamander after what your son said. They are rather mysterious beasts with being able to reproduce without a male and you spend quite some time thinking how to find them 😁
I have a bio-active 8x8x12 Exo-Terra terrarium planted with golden pothos and ivy. Would this be a good enclosure for 2 mourning geckos? I've done my research and would love to put them in this terrarium! Just want to make sure they would thrive in that tank.

OH you donk that was so funny. It turned out really nice, great catching those little cheeky things

Can you co hab other small different species of gecko's same size ?

I know . I felt so silly in this video. No idea why I kept saying he haha
It is very rare like one in 4000 but there are males
i have a question, where did you get the mourning gecko because i cant find anyone selling them in the uk
Beautiful enclosures! Definitely an inspiration! What type of mourning geckos are they?
I've no idea. I know I have a few hawian but after that I'm lost. Still looking into localities
Do you know any mourning gecko sellers in London?
Preloved pets
DONK, What a beautiful setup for them, really like the idea of the foggers
Cheers scott
Love the enclosure
Closing the vents at the top of the exo terra wasnt enough for mine, the spot the slider comes out from leaves a hole down into the top of the enclosure. Had to add more superglue. Ive got the 12x12x18 tho
Thanks for the advice
I love them I am going to get one
Congrats on the big move! Hope the mourning geckos do well!
Only time will tell. Thanks for watching
Thank you Richard. I named my short tailed dragon Stubby.

Being pale white could it be stuck in its own shed? Not enough humidity?
Or simply just a weak gecko

Good luck :) there amazing
I bet they are going to love their new big home Richard xx
I never see them out together so egg production and courting should be interesting

@@NORTHERNEXOTICS Thats great :)
Me and my daughter have two geckos a albino named Jaffa cake and a normal named chocolate

Yeas they can easy Ben 3-4 on there
But what are you going to do about the bottom ventilation? 😂
Lol leave it there . Adults can't escape through it and eggs will be incubated out of this enclosure
Very nice terrarium. I would be happy about a video on how you clean your terrarium.
Sure thing :)
it's a chuna after you eat it.
Can you keep mourning geckos without them breeding?
You can keep 2 and they won't produce eggs
NORTHERN EXOTICS so they won’t pseudocopulate if there’s only 2? 😯
In my experience they won't produce upto 2 but some people say they will
Got it. Seems like mourning geckos aren’t a good fit unless I let them eat the babies. Which feels cruel to me.
finally
Call him stubby
Think I have haha
Notification gang!
Wow your fast lol
