Thanks, doc. I've been suffering hairloss since I was still 16 back in 2018 and been taking minoxidil since late 2022 and finateride August 2023 and now I'm 22. Been stressed for the whole part of my college life. Currently, I'm on finasteride for 9 months and minoxidil for 20+ months already but still can't see any regrowth. I don't have any seborrheic dermatitis but still suffering from dandruff which I think it's because of minoxidil I apply. Wish you could help, doc. Thanksss
@@mjlmarcif the pharmaceuticals aren’t working then supplements certainly worth. Unless you have a vitamin deficiency vitamins won’t give significant growth. And deficiency loss would be all over the scalp(diffuse thinning) and MPB is a receding hairline and or balding at the back. This is from androgens and only androgens.
I also felt the same that whenever I used minoxidil i get more dandruff and my scalp get dry and itchy. I wash my hair once a week due to busy schedule, I had dandruff even before using minoxidil but it got worse during minoxidil use. Now a days I wash my hair 3 days once as my scalp gets itchy and flaky if I leave it more days.

What are your thoughts on seborrheic dermatitis being caused primarily by androgenic alopecia? Theres studies proving that seborrheic dermatitis its caused by DHT sensitivity which increases overproduction sebum making the scalp an inflammatory environment, so in this case no matter how much you treat the inflammation it will always comeback cause you will be genetically prone to it.
I found some supplements that have healed the inflammation in my scalp from seb derm and my hair has stopped shedding excessively. Coq10, pqq, resveratrol, and turmeric curcumin. I take all of these daily. The hair shedding stopped very quickly after about a week taking these

Hey doc. What are the ideal folate and b12 levels for the best hair growth? I recently had a blood test done and found out that im severely deficient. Would love to hear back from you !
Optimal levels of folate and vitamin B12 are crucial for healthy hair growth. Here’s what you need to know: Ideal Levels: Folate (Vitamin B9): Normal Range: 2.7 to 17.0 ng/mL (nanograms per milliliter) For optimal hair health, aim for the higher end of this range. Vitamin B12: Normal Range: 200 to 900 pg/mL (picograms per milliliter) Ideally, levels between 500 and 900 pg/mL are considered optimal for overall health and potentially beneficial for hair growth. Importance for Hair Growth: Folate: Folate plays a key role in DNA synthesis and cell division. A deficiency can lead to a slower rate of cell division in hair follicles, potentially resulting in hair thinning and slower growth. Vitamin B12: B12 is essential for red blood cell production, which ensures that hair follicles receive enough oxygen and nutrients to sustain growth. A deficiency can lead to hair loss and a slower hair growth rate. Addressing Deficiency: Dietary Changes: Increase intake of folate-rich foods like leafy greens, legumes, nuts, and citrus fruits. Include vitamin B12-rich foods like meat, fish, dairy products, and fortified cereals. Supplements: Consider taking folate and B12 supplements as recommended by your healthcare provider to correct deficiencies. Regular Monitoring: Regular blood tests can help monitor your levels and ensure they remain within the optimal range. Follow-Up: It's essential to address these deficiencies under the guidance of a healthcare professional. Correcting these levels can significantly improve hair health and promote growth. ➡️Reach out to us at Advanced Trichology

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) can be affected by diet, and some patients find that avoiding or reducing dairy products helps manage their symptoms. The reasoning behind this includes: Hormonal Balance: Dairy products can contain hormones that might interfere with your own hormonal balance, which is already disrupted in PCOS. Insulin Levels: Dairy can affect insulin levels, and many women with PCOS have insulin resistance. High insulin levels can lead to higher androgen levels, exacerbating PCOS symptoms. Inflammation: Dairy can be inflammatory for some people, which might worsen the inflammation associated with PCOS. However, the effects can vary from person to person. Experiencing a swollen throat and dryness in the mouth after using minoxidil can indicate an allergic reaction, which might be serious. It's crucial to stop using minoxidil immediately and consult a healthcare professional or your doctor as soon as possible. Allergic reactions can vary in severity, but symptoms like swelling of the throat require prompt medical attention to ensure safety. For now, avoid using the product again until you have received medical advice. Your healthcare provider will be able to assess your symptoms and determine the best course of action, which may include finding an alternative treatment for hair loss. ➡️Reach out to us at www.advancedtrichology.com/
Yes, ferritin deficiency can contribute to hair miniaturization. Ferritin is a protein that stores iron in your body, and low levels of ferritin indicate low iron stores. Iron is essential for producing hair cell protein, and without enough iron, the hair growth cycle can be disrupted. This disruption can lead to a shortening of the hair growth phase and a shrinking of the hair follicle, which manifests as hair miniaturization. This condition often results in thinner, weaker, and less dense hair. It's important to have adequate iron levels for optimal hair health. ➡️Reach out to us at www.advancedtrichology.com/
