- I made my video From best to worst , this is only my opinion based on the effectiveness and handling and the special power of each weapon against enemies and bosses ,tell me what is the best in your opinion .

Ethereal Great Blade carried me tbh. The reach, the scaling, the early access... probably best weapon.

Don't forget blood katana great for dark element boss and they are many. But yes Ethereal is overkill and I try every weapon with maxed stats

I think the Ethereal Great Blade is the overall best though; it's available early, has great reach, great damage, most of its attacks stun enemies and it scales off a single stat. Truly insane
Also the special attack hits twice, has an AOE and projectile, and after the jump animation it's all I frames. Pretty nuts.
@@zeldamaster52 I finished the game with Strength/Mind build and Ethereal Great Blade +10, level 108. Around 50 points in Strength - it's a killing machine. Right now I'm trying to play with Dexterity build but I got stuck on the second boss... I think dexterity isn't optimised well enough, because even with my very strong Strength build it was difficult to beat three final bosses (true ending), so with Dex build it would be even more difficult.
@@JKDrumCovers Yeah, I'm tempted to replay the game with another build, but like 1/3 of the game is in ice biomes, which makes strength even better than it already is. I worry that the game will just become tedious because of how stats work. Probably gonna wait for balance patches or NG+.
Was thinking the same thing. It has incredible reach, got it very early and at Str:60 and upgraded fully to +10 does 1108 dmg.
@@JKDrumCovers It might be too late now. However, i recommend you focus using whip in the early game until late (max upgrade). Then, it depends on you to go pure dex or dex w/ str but I recommend to go dex w/ mind.
Belmont Whip
I used a lot of dex and instinct stats. The firearms don’t consume any focus like with other abilities. They are good when you upgrade them. Playing the hunter class felt nice.
The Ice Enchant (The first activation spell) on the Boreal sword actually does damage. You missed that in this demonstration. The Whip is also extremely good at applying status effects with Powders and the Skill attack.
Whip is the best pair that with elemental charm that just rips the health of bosses

So, I finally beat the game last night and I ended up using the dark katana. It's a beast of weapon. The Spinal Chain Blade carried me up until I got it. I'm not sure what weapon to use on my next playthrough. I was a pure mind build. Which was extremely frustrating.
Broken spells ive notice are the ice blades and that one dark orb you throw that creates 5 dark pillars on the ground like extremely broken and also i noticed when i fire punched the enemy in marshlands that throws the thing that comes back the enemy stops attacking forever and dont throw the dark orb at the heart for secret weapon because my game wouldnt let me move afterwards lol
Mind build is honestly the best in my opinion and I’ve ran both viable builds (str / mind is the best , dex / instinct is fun especially when you have a little bit of mind too and use Leenas bow to melt certain bosses) but yeah on a mind build you pretty much focus 25 vit and 20 str for the ethereal great blade at first and then just pure focus mine for the spinal and spells while eventually getting vit to 40-45 which is plenty and mind to 50 str to 40 or so and a little bit of dex or instinct if you want for resists/defense but it’s not necessary as the build literally melts every boss.. I eventually chose the spinal chain blade and boreal ice blade as my main two weapons but at the very end maxed the dark katana as well.. very weird unorthodox unique weapon that isn’t the greatest but it’s fun to use..
the reaper is so underrated, the DPS is explosive when fighting against a stable unit

I have a build full strenght and vitality but in your video the rift of blood seems to inflict a lot of damage. Can you share your build/ attribute distribution for that weapon? Thanks
yeh no problem (in this video lvl 60 ,mind 50 ,others 20--30) version 1.0, but I think the reason is the version of the game because in patch 1.2 the rift of blood and other weapons has been nerfed 🥹
The Skullcleaver Axe is a reliable early game weapon. Before finding the good ones it serves you well.
Nightfall blade is just basic, nothing special but not a bad one either.
The Blunderblade felt a little unnecessary, it's good though but using Nightfall Blade for swift attacks and Skullcleaver Axe for heavy ones served me alright, didn’t need the Blunderblade at all.
The Whip has very long reach and is great at crowd control. Also, it shows the annoying enemies like bats and hounds their place. Good one.
The Stormchaser Macewhip is a sweet weapon, the shock status effect is very effective when dealing with multiple enemies. But unfortunately it has a very short reach and you get it late. At that point you should have the Ethereal Greatblade (the game changer) which has excellent range, so don't need to use the Macewhip at all.
The Ice Katana is another useless sword which could have had unique properties like creating an Ice storm but instead it's a short reach, typical sword will low damage output. Irony is, you have to kill a difficult boss to get this one but you can get a far stronger Katana with easier feats.
The Spinal Chainblade is another great weapon. Feels like a dark power imbued cousin of the Ethereal Greatblade. Very useful.
The fully upgraded Rift of Blood is the best weapon in the game, Ethereal Greatblade takes 2nd place, Spinal Chainblade and the Ice Axe both takes the 3rd.
Nah brah you omega trolled me. This weapon does 0 damage and bosses can't even bleed. I spent the entire patrimony and can't do absolute anything against bosses

I can never figure out if using, for instance, flame elements (casting, weapons and/or bombs) in the ice/snow region are more powerful than the others or does it matter? Meaning, does specific areas and enemies have weaknesses?
I don’t have anything to answer your question. However, there is a boss that you can inflict status to her. Lisa (the one who you face before fighting Manfled) is a boss that valuable to all kind of status. I recommend using ice while fighting with her to slow her down in order to parry her attacks (note. You can freeze her only once in combat after that ice will slow down her attack speed only).
If you would like to try all elements. I would recommend you to try dark and ice. Both of them require Mind which is the best stat in the game in terms of value. Dark elements can restore some mana while you dealing damage with it which benefits Nightfall blade and Scythe that require low mana for weapon art.
In my opinion, the best weapon in the game is depending on your play style. In my first run, I ends game with Ethereal Great Sword because of the best single hit DMG output, reach and staggering ( also the best weapon art for farming soul). My second run is focus on instinct build fire blade and it is the tough because of weapon scale is not that good ( yep and it’s in the 1.1.2 patch which your max cap bullet that I can carry is 22, so enjoy your max cap at 30 patch 1.5 folk). However, in my 3rd and 4th, I play dex and mind build (3rd is 60 mind and 40 dex, 4th is 60 dex and 40 mind instead) I found out that whip is the most BS weapon in this game. Hear me out. It has the best reach in the game , not just in front of you it can hit above and behind you as well which made it easy to fight with group and boss that requires you to jump and hit the head for dealing double dmg. Its weapon art is great for dealing with huge boss and flying minion as well.
I'm thinking of switching to the blood katana, I've been using the whip up to this point. I'm currently at 55 dexterity and 40 or so mind, do you think it's worth the change?
PS: I enjoy both, it's just a matter of loving Castlevania and being a weeb at the same time xD
@@Matt__G5 it’s ok to do that. However, blood katana scaling on STR C Dex B and mind at E. If you have a chance try to play dark katana,nightfall blade and scythe that can infuse with dark elements. I don’t know that there is a bug with those whenever you do damage, you will recover some mana back to you, so you can spam weapon art more than usual.

it's a cool weapon, but with it you may have some difficulty with some bosses, I think the whole community agrees that the most powerful weapons are Ethereal Great Blade with strength and a Spinal Chain Blade with a mind build .

@@justadad2222 with his +5 improvement you have strength C and mind B, with (40 mind) I think it is sufficient for all the content of the game except the secret boss (more preparation is needed 😉)
What are your stats? Level? Level of the weapons?
When I made this video, my level was 60, and I focused on mind stat 50 in my build , the levels of all weapons are 0, except for the reaper and chain blade at +7.
@@deuszix mind is my favorite way to go with the chain blade boreal blade and devourer (holy axe is fun too) all I love all the mind scaling weapons and mix that with some of the spells and it’s too good
I know devourer is underwhelming for a secret weapon but it’s still fun to use
Mace is the most underwhelming unique in my opinion
Also for anyone wondering there is a way to get unlimited purchasable demishade ore from the witch in the mansion you just have to give her all 4 cold one livers (the last one is from wymond who will appear as a boss fight once you reach the first “bonfire” in Junas ministry if you saw him at all the other locations, he’s in the graveyard where the woman you gave the flowers was in mythringal
