    Just a thought. While Canada is trying to ramp up to be able to set up facilities on it’s East Coast to supply LNG to Germany(and perhaps other parts of Europe) maybe there is an interim solution that could be brokered between Canada/Germany and the energy sector company Enbridge. They both move Natural Gas through pipelines and with the recent acquisition of port facilities in Texas, they could like deal with the supplying and shipping of LNG.

    • @croozer12
      @croozer12 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A couple of problems. Enbridge bought a crude oil shipping terminal - not LNG. The current gulf coast LNG terminal is shipping all they can (recovering from a fire that reduced capacity). Canada is years away from being able to ship LNG and the EU doesn't have the off-load terminals anyway. Germany was warned that dealing with Russia would be a mistake - now they're paying the price.

      Same here in Germany. It was expectable that Russia will use every single opportunity to cause damage. However, the issue was caused by the government of Angela Merkel. Because of polls after Fukushima and an election in one of our states she decided overnight to switch off all the nuclear power plants. Instead of expanding renewables we became dependent on Russian gas. I am really sorry for that, but I can assure you: This was by far not the only thing Merkel did wrong.
