Some good and intellects migrate only because India is chaotic place and too much competition for little rewards. Indian society is a double edge sword. Friendly to outsiders, little friendly to our own only because we are poor and we know everyone needs a helping hand that's beauty of one edge and other edge is lack basic ethics that makes place hell to live in. @@Aerrow62 And UK was able to trade the looted food, fabrics, raw materials at a cheaper, competitive price to the European nations, that increased trade and connectivity across Europe. Simultaneously, other EU nations like Dutch, French and others were doing their part extracting resources, labour and traded across European countries at a cheaper prices, that made average people richer.
This is how it works, when countries get supply of the resources at cheaper price bcs their people did not have to work hard to produce them. The supply in the market increased production in the local economies in Europe.
Before the colonial powers set out, China and Indian territories were the richest in the world. Back then rich meant having enough food and clothes, which they were good at doing. When the colonial power left, they were the poorest civilisations in the world, they missed the industrial revolution, bcz they were busy giving away the raw materials and their people were not educated, bcz they were not even fed properly, due to their foods being taken away. Generalisations after generalisations they had to do farming only to survive and produce food for their masters. They needed more and more sons to carry out farming work. That also increased population, which was born out of necessity.
Western history books never explain how centuries of extraction affected rich civilisations.

That is an interesting point and perhaps has some validity but I actually saw it from a different angle. I saw it from the angle that he is a man & he knows he's talking to a woman and culturally comes from a country that allows him as a man to talk over a woman and put her in her place and to prevail by the strength of his voice and the size of his body. This is NOT to say in the home that the man rules in India because in the home the wife rules, the woman rules, and it is matriarchal in that sense absolutely and unconditionally which is why they have very strong women. Good and easy to talk and promote BUT execution, implementation and delivering real tangible results are totally different and India IS NOT showing that it can do it and deliver the results except more talking about the future. Instead look first at your own policies, internal domestic issues, very poor infrastructures, technology, lack of right skills and education, too many tedious and red tapes and many more.
Asking countries like EU to go make a major bet for India and wait 10 years to see potential results that might not even be there while slowing down or stop the time for even 6 months to 1 year will totally destroy EU's economy. At the same time, China is NOT stopping nor slowing down BUT will instead accelerate even faster. If EU stop working closer with China then the rest of the world will step in and EU's economy and prospect will be gone by then. Time waits for no one especially more so in today's highly competitive business environment.
and China is moving at lightning speed waiting for no one.

Nevertheless, how about conduct a referendum in Tibet? I wonder if even the ethnic Han want to be part of CCP project. Arunachal Pradesh was left undeveloped for a long time since it was seen as a region the Chinese might capture any time. However, the people did not want to be part of temple, church breaking communists.

@@peterseth3296 when you say Tibet Arunachal Pradesh as a whole was never a part of the Tibetan kingdom, you could argue that only the Tawang district and some part of West Kameng district paid tax to the the lhasa sect. But you see both of those areas are maybe only 10% of Arunachal Pradesh. I belong to Tani tribe which is non Tibetan, non Buddhist (we follow either Donyi polo, Christian, Hinduism) . My ancestors have never paid any kind of tax or even know about Tibet, they used to only hear of trade with them for metals and ornaments or food maybe that too in very minor areas. The Tibetan tribes are minority in Arunachal Pradesh, plus the British took these areas when Tibet had declared independence from China. And it also begs the question in the 1962 war when China came to Tawang why didn't they keep it. Arunachal Pradesh was never a part of China and will never be I say this as a Arunachal Pradesh citizen..

    • @greyw2799

@@peterseth3296 1. " Your family never told you Arunachal Pradesh was Southern region of Tibet " No because Arunachal was never a part of Tibet. You are confusing the region of Monpa Monyul kingdom which came under Tibet for the whole of Arunachal. Tawang is merely a district it is like 2% of the total area is the smallest district in Arunachal Pradesh. Majority of the Area were under the indigenous Tani, mishmi, indo Burmese who are not Tibetan or Buddhist.. so no Tawang is not the whole Arunachal Pradesh.
      2. Tibet declared independence in 1912 so in the Shimla accord Tibet was not even a part of China to begin with. I get they(china) didn't agree then .
      3. We are not of the Monpa descent, our closest kin is the Lhoba ethnic people .
      4. Throughout history there has been a lot of invasion and migration, simply calling for a region it political boundary because of ancient history is unrealistic and provocative. Can Mongolia claim the Soth western China as as it's long lost province?
