I remember when they built Northside Park My parents had a condo townhouse with a boat dock in Sunset Lagoon from when brand new in 1986 to 1998 on 123rd street Bayside Another thing to know if you want to buy a place in Ocean City Maryland to rent out, wait until the 3rd week of June because the Beach Week kids do a lot of damage to condos and townhomes and houses Also the Real Estate Companies in Ocean City Maryland don't keep up with Security Deposits and when the renters cause damages rarely do they have to pay for the damages and the owners get stuck with all of costs to fix the damages Also a lot of contractors take advantage of out town owners during the renting season such as when HVAC Technician is needed or a plumber is needed Many renters for example run the air conditioning with the sliding doors wide open, install sensors on all windows and doors so that the HVAC System won't run unless they are all closed for example
As a retired senior $$ is limited but love the ocean views. Hopefully find a bargain that I can rent out occasionally to help with costs & a place for my adorables to enjoy when not rented
Jackie, It's a great spot for seasonal rentals and AIRBNB properties. We'd love to help you make this a reality. Please shoot us an email at info@relentlesshomegroup.com to setup a Zoom call.
yeah, I was there for a couple off-season winters too. It's cold and boring.. but cheap (or it used to be) There used to be those old cheap housing buildings like the Driftwood & the Oasis, but I think they're all gone now. Peace
Ocean City isn't growing nearly as fast as Myrtle Beach, higher property taxes and colder weather are a factor but Ocean City is closer to major metro areas which appealing to some.Nearby Salisbury is actually the fastest growing area percentage wise in Maryland nowadays!
I'm moving to OC because I wanted to make a new start. I kind of want to stay in OC and look for a good price to live either as a roommate until I can eventually get my own property. Until then I have to be content with sleeping in my car until things get better. It kind of beats my alternatives right now.
Hang in there. Hope things turn in the right direction for you. It's a good time to head to OC as many of the businesses are beginning to hire for the summer season.
You have to jump in right now. The summer season is about to to start. If you can land a job as a server at one of the crab places like the crab bag or Hooper's crab house you will make a ton of tips. Seacret's and Ropewalk are also popular spots.
I would not recommend anyone living full time in OC. Outside OC, maybe. Years ago, when they turned off the traffic lights in the off season, It was ok. Now, they have a lot going on almost year round. The summer is crazy. The boardwalk is borderline dangerous. Thugs, who use to go to VA beach, have now found OC. Stabbing, shootings, assaults, robberies...CRAZY in the summer. And we all know the element that is causing this. And you forgot to mention H2o. Yes the town is cracking down, but still crazy dangerous! Delaware- Selbyville, Ocean View, nice and somewhat quiet. Or north end of OC bayside - a little quiet. I remember OC in the late 70's early 80's. Very family oriented and safe.. But those days are far gone, and OC in my opinion has never been the same. That's why a lot of people vacation in the Outer Banks of NC. I still like to visit OC, maybe in April, or October. Not in the summer!!!!!
Thanks for your input. H20 honestly is probably the biggest cause to a ton of the rif raf… Do you feel more year round residents live just outside of OC?
@@LIVINGINBALTIMOREMARYLAND I don't know about year round residents. But I do know, OC has gone to hell over the years. Just read OC Today on-line. And thugs are stabbing /robbing innocent people on boardwalk. Very sad -Too many "city folk" for me!

The Seafood, The Fishing, The Golfing, The Beach, The quite off season. Fond memories

Winter at the beach is great.
Agreed. Do you live at the beach or just come down to visit?
@@LIVINGINBALTIMOREMARYLAND I use to visit OC MD when I use to live in northeast. Seein snow in the beach is awesome. No skiing on it though 😢😢
Don’t tell people that the locals don’t want people here in the winter
I’ve never been to seashore in the winter. I bet snow is nice on the sand

Excellent information. Well done! Thank you.
I was in Ocean City two years ago during the off-season it was a ghost town
Ocean City is haunted?! 😳

Myrtle Beach has grown tremendously over the years and Orange Beach, Alabama too

Well these days OCMD is mostly New Yorkers and New Jersey people so there’s that

Yeah, the cons of OC NJ, no bars or liquor stores. The pros, much more wholsome, less crime and trouble. Overall nicer mix of people vs OC Md
Good video
Thanks so much. What did you find the most helpful?

I'm from cleveland cleverbrowns cleveland browns
What happened at 6 minute 11 seconds and just quit playing
You cannot find a decent fish sandwich there! Weird....the ocean is RIGHT THERE!! C'mon man.
Better there than Virginia Beach & much cheaper!!!!
I will give it that, lol.
This guy should have done a little more research
You froze in the weather
Don’t move to ocean city
Katie, thanks for watching. Do you live in OC now? Why should someone not live there? Would love to hear your perspective.
