I appreciate the update don’t get to go enough but then again I prefer summer /Fall May to Oct if I can’t go, sit on the beach when it’s nice & warm with a cold drink kinda takes away from it for me.I have 40 plus years of great stories about Ocean City great memories about places that have come & gone but never to be forgotten.
Cool video. I have hazy memories of weekends spent at Shoreham Hotel and Shenanigans in late 90s. From what I recall, good times. And I agree that Brass Balls is awesome…one of my allltime favorites.
Great video and commentary about the OC Boardwalk.Wow, the Boardwalk and OC, looks incredible, so much nicer looking than in the 70's for sure. Thanks for your Videos!
Thanks for the update boss I believe that might be one of the Last pollock johnny's around That I know of, I miss going downtown Light street and getting one with the works
Hahaha. We laugh about Mark Douglas as well and also always ask, "do you think there is a Sunsations near here"? Hahaha.seemed like at one time there was a Sunsations every other block. Hahaha.
We usually go down a week in the summer then Thanksgiving week. Like the off season better. Wife never gets tired of going to the Winterfest in the North Park to see the over 750,00 LED Christmas displays. Glad they returned the tram car ride to drive you thru this huge ( 60 acre ) best shore park. Like going to Jolly Rogers on Friday after Thanksgiving to purchase over $500 in half price ride & water park tickets for the grandkids. Just read that they are going to tear down the Roses store near the Acme. Could never figure out if that store or Sunsations sold the most junk items.
What a difference a few days make. WE took our daily walk on the boards today sunny and warm. Shenanigans had their tents up and ready for the weekend. Also the American Legion will have a grand opening of their roof top deck April 18. You should look in to joining.
That was awesome to see what OC Boardwalk looks like right now. I can't wait to take my family there this summer. Me & my 6 boys love eating Chicken wings and buffalo wings. That Why I am a chubby fat dude today. I also love funnel cakes with strawberry topping on them And I can't wait to get one from ocean city. Thanks you for sharing this video buddy.
I like seeing them. I believe it was either last year or the year before a bartender used one on a guest at the Ocean Pines Yacht club and saved their life!
Thanks for sharing this…the place is so unrecognizable now. I owned a condo at 32nd Street, Bay side in ‘85 through ‘98 and it’s really interesting to see the good growth and development over 40 years 🙏🏼💙🌞🏖️
Thanks for the boardwalk update there JB. Ashley looks like she was freezing- after all the warm weather you enjoyed on your cruise. It might have been me or my buddy who mentioned- Pollack Johnny's on the Boards for Pizza. It's worth a review- we like it. Jake will give it his customary 5 stars. Won't be long before the real Spring arrives.
Lol on the seagulls. During one of our golf trips one of our guys caught a seagull and threw it into one of the rooms a bunch of our other guys were hanging out in. Didn't stay long since the patio door was open. Won't say which hotel. Thanks for another great walking tour video.
I love OCMD. Love the beach during the prime season but, for the past 3 years I’ve come down during the week of Thanksgiving n I enjoy that time as well.
I would say the best time is Sept/Oct/November. It's not busy, the fishing heats up again and everyone is still open. A lot of us call that time "locals summer".
@@ReelJayB I first started seeing them in Ocean City NJ Last June and then Seaside and Wildwood Nj throughout the Summer and then in Ocean City MD when I was there In October. I’m really surprised that they didn’t come out a long time ago because they are a really big hit.
Thanks for the walk through:). Just trying to decide if I’m booking our yearly trip in April….now I’m like yessss we gotta go😂. Our oldest son is getting married May 17th & our beach dates are April 16-21. Been looking at the weather then & 2 days of rain & 55-60’s. Praying it warms up & rain goes away that week! Thanks again!
End of April is awesome, just before the summer crowds! The forecast here is crazy, as you know from growing up so close, I'm sure 2 days from now the forecast will change HAHA Thanks for watching, hope you have a great trip!
@@ReelJayB yeah it’s always been hit or miss with the weather. It usually works out well end of April for us. We always find things to do for our family of 9. Our oldest is getting married in May sooooo just trying to figure out if a trip to beach a month before is going to be too much going on. I’m looking at schedule though it’s only week we can all make it happen 🤔 lol. Decisions! Haha. Keep filming! It’s great to see what all is going on & can refer to when we get back down. Thanks again!
I love the offseason! My husband & MIL went to Snow Hill this weekend because of your video on it a few weeks ago. Bought lots from Del Vecchio’s!! Saw 2 goats on the island too! Thanks for the recommendation!
Thanks again!! Just made our reservations for July so these videos get me excited to go. Hope to get down for the first weekend in May as well. Thanks Jaybee!!
Today is GORGEOUS on the boardwalk!! Feels like summer! Won't most of those small shops be open for this weekend or the parade crowd? Thanks for the video again Jay. And the only kind of Fisher's I like is caramel....and when it's warm and sticky and gooey!!! Their version of kettle corn is nothing like what you get in PA. Ours is so much better and sweeter and saltier. Can't wait for Cruisin!!
The weather is AWESOME today! It's almost 80. We'll be out at the parade, a lot of places are opening this Friday. Cruisin is always a great event, the spring event is my favorite!
I check out the OC web cams several times a week especially the couple of outstanding sunset cams showing the sun slowly sink out of site and the bay. Up until maybe two years ago one of the web cams showed the boardwalk and Fishers Pop corn store. OC has the cleanest public boardwalk bath rooms. We like the fudge from the country store in Fenwick better then the ones we tried in OC. Big shoot out to how well OC maintains the boardwalk, roads & side walks. Person was a genius years ago that designed Coastal Highway to be three lanes along with dedicated bus / right turn lane and long left turn lanes and best in class red light timing.
Thank you for the update! I always enjoy your videos. Bad Monkey (I like the West OC location) is my favorite place to eat. The Rum Shack outside Quality Inn Boardwalk on 16th and the boards is my favorite hangout. Also, I cannot remember the name of it but the pizza place attached to The Grand Hotel has amazing pizza. I would love to see you do a pizza review there.
I've always wanted to try Bad Monkey....but there is always a wait list and I HATE waiting HAHA. I know exctly what pizza place your talking about, we'll have to do a review there. Thanks for the tip!
@sandkid69 Everything! I love their fish tacos. The Mac Attack was delicious, and so was The Patty Melted. Their Monkey Bread is out of this world. The Dirty Banana drink was good, too. I have never ordered anything off their menu that I didn't love.
I remember back in 1985 I stayed at a motel on the boardwalk which was really beat up and the Mug & Mallet was full of sand, till this day I don't know how they got all that sand out of the place.
During bad wind storms they bring front end loaders in there and other heavy equipment to clear the sand as if it were a giant snow storm. It's pretty crazy!
Thank you for sharing Ocmd videos . What are some of the best resturants to eat at by the water ? My wife and i come to ocean city md and its so easy to miss out on some of its hidden gems
Mackys is a good one, seacrets is another awesome one, but our favorite is ropewalk. The food is pretty good but the view and drinks are awesome! Thr bada Bing shrimp is the best!
I used to bring big buckets of Fisher's Popcorn to all the nurses Wards at the original Walter Reed Army Medical Center from their location at the Delaware state line. That location is a different owner of same family and gives non profit organizations discounts 🇺🇸

Watching stanzfam couple weeks ago they were into sail fish now nicks in tournament for sail fish north of Miami the question does oc have sailfish tournaments. How do they clean sand from boardwalk blowers vacs?
OC has thr White Marlin Open...largest billfish tournament in the world. The purse goes up every year but the winner will get $4M+. For heavy storms the sand is taken off with skid steers and loaders. Not too sure about little amounts of sand.
I was at Hooters opening day last Thursday. Paid $17.50 for 10 naked wings, $17 for a turkey sandwich. With my soda and tip, it was a $48 lunch. It’s not worth it anymore. Save yourself the trouble. You can get almost three times the wings frozen at the supermarket for the same price. I tell myself we are at the beach and prices will be higher but it’s just getting rediculous. Not just hooters but everywhere. Makes me appreciate my air fryer at home that much more.
Last time I went to OCMD like 3-4 years ago it was all really sketchy people and I did not feel safe at all. Haven’t been there since but haven’t been hearing good things in recent times either. They’re going to need serious changes to fix things. The people going there recently are destroying it.
2020 was a mess. Cheap hotel rates, the economy was shut down and people were given $$ from the government....so they all came to OC. It was a disaster here. Even the mayor was talking about how it was a recipe for disaster. Fortunately the city and PD learned from that and we haven't seen it like that since. OC is pretty safe, there's always a few issues with large summer crowds, but overall is real safe. To say people recently are destroying it, I disagree. There are 3 license plate readers when entering OC so if you have a warrant/stolen car the PD are notified right away. Anyone looking to do stupid things are usually arrested quickly and the county is tough on crime so bail is hard to get.
No people ,glass fronts ,signage, boardwalk, more modern look ,I SPENT A MANY DAYS AND NIGHTS IN OC. It’s Not that rockin anymore to much commercialization ,have to pay to park anywhere,to many rules and regulations ,used to be many hot chicks wanting to party and get stoned with some great red bud and play guitars on the beach ,I played one time with 5 guitar players and the ambience was so hippie times you just cherish now….From Deals Island ,Westover,Princess Anne,Marion,Crisfield,Pittsville ,went to Pittsville High,Crisfield and Washington High.73 ❤❤❤
