Loved every minute of your videos. Just acquired a Century 100 Plus (CPCL) made in March 1965 and will be fitting to my Lightning sailboat made in 1972. Both working like a champ.
I have just bought a Seagull Silver Century plus and it is totally seized. I dont mind though, because im going to have a go at rebuilding it. I just hope i do as well as you. When you pulled the cord i was willing it to start! lol! Brilliant job.
Love your videos, can I ask a couple of questions please. 1.What type of silver paint did you use for the flywheel housing and did you lacquer it? 2.What paint did you use on the cylinder block and the Aluminium head? 3.I love the gold colour on the transom bracket, can you tell me what make and Colour it is? 5.Any tips on the preparation, painting and final finishing of paintwork, yours looks awesome! 4.And finally any tips on getting the exhaust tube so perfect and shiny like yours? I really appreciate your advice as I want my seagull to look really tidy, like yours. Thanks again:)
Hi - I have just bought a Seagull, it all works as demonstrated by previous owner, BUT I have noticed that the Tap where connected to the tank, was loose and leaking. I turned it anti clockwise to tighten and does not leak, but seem like it will easily move back into leaking position! Should I try to fix by applying PTFE tape to the threads? I was hoping that it would secure it to a point where the threads are not loose...Any ideas?? Matt

en la caja de cambios hay que ponerle valvulina de 90, pero si puedes conseguir de 140 es mejor pues ahi entra agua del mar
