- Can you assemble a British Seagull 40+ outboard in less that 20 minutes?
I think it can, here is my first attempt, terrible in parts, but I hope it prove it can be done. I know where I can improve.

Excellent educational video demonstrating the simplicity and serviceability of a British Seagull! This Yankee really enjoyed watching.
Nice speed run. This took a lot of mystery out of seagulls so I feel better about buying one for my sailboat :) Cheers!
I have the same 40 with a three blade prop from 1955. This video was so informative.
Great vid showing how simple the seagull is. Quality engineering. No wonder they last so long. I have a few myself and wish i had a marston as nice as yours. Well done very enjoyable.😂❤

1. some narrative during the work (comments), please;
2. the operator to show what is going on (nothing to be done "behind the scene" or behind some big objects ). Especially - electric part;
This is my forty plus, there are many forty plus like this, but this one is mine.
Thanks! I have a 102 Seagull 6.5 HP in need of rebuilding, sat up for 10 years in leaky carport shed that leaked and got corroded. Will not turn over, Trying to figure out how to disassemble and get her running. Pushed my 26 Ft McCune Sloop at 6 knots no problem! Sad to be so jammed up, cannot get the flywheel off at this point. I welcome any suggestions or help. I wished that the tape went to the part of starting the motor! Also, narration would have been great....Thanks for making the effort, gives me hope that I can possibly dismantle the SeaGull motor and repair it.

Did you ever turn the piston the right way round??
Was it a dry fit of the head ..I would always use rtv silcone and a little on the crankcase end and crankcase itself
The later QB models used RTV, but earlier ones with an annealed copper gasket had nothing from factory.
Thanks for standing back firty feet to obscure the details, and SKIPPING STEPS, as in the impeller.
The impeller is on the drive tube, can't see what you are having trouble with. You are obviously very confused about seagulls or drunk . What is standing back 50 feet supposed to mean?

Sorry but .. i never rush when assembling so this is a no from me.
The point was could it be assembled in 20 minutes,just a bit of fun. Why do people take everything so seriously. At no point did I say this is how you must assemble a forty plus
