- As part of the 2018 Special Operations Forces Industry Conference (SOFIC), held at the Tampa Convention Center, U.S. and international special operations forces participated in a rescue demonstration. The exercise included Black Hawk and Little Bird Helicopters, fast attack boats, Army rangers, and more. During the scenario, Mayor Bob Buckhorn was held captive and later saved by the highly skilled commandos of the International Special Operations Forces.

Aaron :D stealth technology drastically improves the ability not to be detected but that doesn’t mean it can never be detected. Think about it this way instead of the plane looking like a large aircraft on radar it instead looks like a large bird.

Something slightly like that happened in real life. An episode of the show "Homicide" was being filmed and a store got robbed. The actors were in the middle of a scene when the crook ran into the set. He mistook them for real cops and surrendered. The real cops eventually showed up to bust him.
I was there when this happened, it was fascinating. So much action, like I have never seen of. Amazing work to the people who set this up and the people who made this up.

That's why they have the blank fire adapters (at the end of the gun) so if a live round is mistakenly shot, it will severely slow down the bullet.

I've seen some pretty awesome MAGTF demos. Involving strike aircraft, Cobras, Hueys, CH-53's and LCACs.
What lame air shows have you been to? Mine does combined arms demonstrations that make this looks like child’s play. A-10s, Apaches, ground forces, para troopers and strike and support aircraft, also c-130s dropping supplies. This video is boring to me honestly

Reality check, this would've taken about 10-25 minutes at max, in combat you're way more coordinated, you don't just say stealth is an option and you come in with a helicopter and a machine gun firing the whole mission is compromised the terrorists will kill the hostage on the spot, Speed, Aggression, Surprise is the key here.
Attack out of surprise, make it super quick with aggression.

I was at Tampa General Hospital that day and observed it from the 5th floor parking garage. At first, I didn't know what was going on but figured it out after a few minutes.

borres in arma 3 most of the time we are operating in huge landscape where enemies can be anywhere , so as gunner you dont know excatly where enemies are , in this scenario the gunner can easily spot threat from the chopper because he sis focused on one direction = the boat ...all mil-sim send to us an experience as reality , that why i love to say mil sim is a tutorials not a game , but unfortunately most ppl just think as a game and nothing else ... ((mil sims are not like mario bros or candy crush )) mil sim are not a barely game even if using the same support like most of the game . border is thin but definately different

23:00 the announcer says the jumpers will exit the aircraft at 8000 ft and pull their chutes at 4000 ft... That was the quickest 4000 ft free fall I've ever seen...
Assuming the terminal velocity of a human is 176 feet per second, 4000 feet shouldve taken them around 22 seconds 😂
@@defenselessmoms it's actually considered to be 120mph when falling in a flat, stable position, and it actually takes close to 10 seconds to actually reach that speed IIRC from my jumping days. But yeah, your estimate of time is pretty close to how long it takes to freefall 4000 ft.

Yea it seemed this event was mostly to look cool. There were many bullshit "scenes" in here. Such as delivery of the craft by a blackhawk laying down suppressive fire (they were supposed to be stealthy anyways lul), then it randomly leaves and the craft's crew are now vulnerable small arms fire, or when the operators were just walking towards a hail of gunfire from the black shirt guys on the port, instead of proning out or taking cover.
Not also to mention it seems they decided the well armed bad guys in this scenario wouldn't have any heavy lmgs or rpgs oddly enough. Like the vehicle convoy looked cool and all but their only opposition was 1 guy with an AK that malfunctioned after ~10 rounds. Didn't seem realistic at all.
Jeffrey S it wasn’t supposed to be. It was a demonstration of forces and how the allies can work together tactically to complete a mission. Of course we know this wasn’t a tactically viable mission. Everyone knew it, it was simply a demonstration of capabilities and unity between forces
