- The simulation is part of the Special Operations Forces Industry Conference and includes more than 175 SOCOM and international service members from 11 nations. The demonstration includes simulated explosions, simulated gunfire and low-flying aircraft. Helicopters, boats, all-terrain vehicles, scuba divers and ground forces will be used to “rescue” a city official from “hostile” forces.

@patrick bateman everything is blanks in this video, but a spend-ex can be anything from blanks to rocket launchers, big naval guns, mortars... lot of time to clear out supply to make room for new stuff, but often just because no one wants to carry it back. 👍

I think it's also really cool seeing the Blackhawks with the "61" and "62" designations, referring to Blackhawks "Super 61" and "Super 62" from the Battle of Mogadishu, and paying tribute to all those lost.

@@TheGonzogibby First off - though most would agree it was a clusterfuck due to politician involvement, we still lost combat troops that fought valiantly until the end. Your comment saying "yea, great tribute" is kind of not cool.
Super 61 had both pilots killed in its downing. Super 62 was the Blackhawk that inserted Delta operators MSG Gary Gordon, and SFC Randy Shughart, that fought valiantly to their deaths protecting the severely injured Super 64 pilot Michael Durant.
EDIT: I did not realize that all the crew of Super 64 (with the exception of Durant) were killed. My apologies for not knowing that, and for not mentioning that. With that in mind, I would hope there was another Blackhawk at the Tampa demo marked with a "64" to honor those crew members as well.

This must be like our school field days back in the day for special operators. We got to go out and play all day, they get to go out and play during this event. Well-deserved play time, not to mention. Much love to all the men and women in conventional forces and the SOF units.
The fact you associate SOF with play comes down to decades of Hollywood subliminal marketing orchestrated by the Pentagon.

They are just out there to put on a show, the danger is minimal, there's almost no risk compared to their day to day jobs, so its more of a day to go out and have fun. That's absolutely an appropriate analogy. To suggest that I am conflating SOF missions to a field day generally is intellectually dishonest, and I believe you know that. Comparing one demonstration to a field day in no way makes some erroneous claims about what SOF missions/training are like, but it seems you made that presupposition without thinking about what was said and the context in which it was said.
@@Honey_Daddy what I said is factually, not directed. For years the us has cultivated the minds of young people in order to have a readily available supply of citizens capable and willing to use military weapons and tactics against a declared enemy.
Toy guns, video games, sports, and entertainment are all geared in subtle ways as to weaponize people.
Like it or not, it's real, and this is what that is.

@MR_Connect Not to mention hearing him, y'know, narrate, probably helps prevent any people within earshot of all this who _don't_ know what's going on from freaking out and making a potentially dangerous decision out of fear, such as speeding away from the area. While I'm sure most people down there are aware of what's taking place, I can easily picture a few out-of-towners who are out of the loop dialing 911, potentially tying up the lines and hindering response to a real emergency.

When the air assault team got on deck they'd be all dead if this op played out as they portrayed it.
With 4 other circling choppers providing cover? Maybe not
However, as-portrayed, the first 4-5 guys would be dead. The fast craft unit would have borded, though. By then the bad guys would be on high alert after having killed the fast rope team though.
Once they heard the first shot from the "re-breather team" they'd have excited the hostages though.

LOL dude... this equipment and tactics will be used against the American populace one day - its just the empire showing force to its "citizens" as a veiled threat under the auspices that its about "respecting our military" and "supporting the troops". You must not know much about Soviet history, Chinese history, or much history in general. This same stuff happened in all empires across the world in all time periods.

It’s a show of capabilities to prove how advanced and well trained our troops are compared to literally everywhere in the world without exception. There is no veiled threat to anyone other than American enemies.
I can guarantee that I know more about Soviet and Chinese history than you do. Wanna know what those two empires had in common? An immediate bipolar relationship between Monarchy/Communism. Not the US. Democracy can’t be overthrown.
Wanna know why those tactics and equipment won’t be used against the American people? In reality, the American people are the most well armed and trained military in the world, not the American military. Every retired American serviceman is a US citizen. If the US military were ordered to kill their own citizens on American soil, the American military would turn on the government without hesitation. Americans are not weak like you hope to from them. There is a reason the US is the sole superpower in the world.

Awesome demo as always but the previous years demo were better. More specifically where they had it where they actually broadcasted the comm chatter with the actual mission commander and various units over the speakers.
It's like they traded crappier videographers for a more enthusiastic speaker

I first stumbled onto this Demo Tuesday lunchtime while running along the Bayshore. I/we had no idea as to what was going on so it was an initial shock. After learning it was a Demo in support of the related SOP conference we stayed and were not disappointed. It was like watching a Jason Bourne/James Bond movie in real time. However, Tuesday was only the run-through so we made a special trip back the next day (Weds) for the real thing (as seen in this video). WOW and WOW!! The real Demo was completely next level and much different than Tuesday in the way of gun fire and explosions, etc. To experience the noise and feel produced when those swift boats come storming in with their 50cals rolling, is INCREDIBLE. This video is great, but nowhere near the real thing.
btw- we all thought the swift boats were using type of noise percussion device because it was deafening. Nope, That's the 50cals. Unbelievably impressive!
In short, should you EVER have an opportunity to attend such a Demo, it is a MUST. These men and women do a beyond outstanding job and it makes you feel proud and safe to witness such a brave group ready and able.
Forgot - In case you're wondering, like most of us non-military attendees were, the reason for the open arm/body position beginning @23:22 (which makes them look almost toy like) is to prevent them from spinning in air, which would cause undesired side effects.
What fun. A great morale boost for everyone in Florida. I don't know what's more difficult. The climb of 2018 to the top deck of the Starship from Aft or growing the mustaches of 2022. Climbing into the blackhawk from the water in 2022 couldn't have been easy.
Special forces of any branch are literally my heros. Delata force an army rangers ecspecially. This is the closet we will ever get to actual super heros! ♡
These dudes are international forces. Ones Dutch, ones Mexican, ones Estonian, ones British. Only a few are American.

@@jonathanlangston9687 I'm not sure about advertising, I'm from Nebraska, if they do its probably a local thing, but from what I've seen they do it pretty much around the same date and time frame each year. I don't think they did it last year or in 20 cus of the c virus.

So awesome. Pinnacle of Army Aviation. This would be so great to see. Minneapolis/St. Paul would be a great place to do it with the river running through the cities......but this place is run by such a bunch of bed wetters it would never happen. They pee'd themselves when these guys ran a simulation here a number of years ago in the evening flying between the buildings at dusk. Seriously.....hats off to Tampa!!

I just watched this with my 10 week old son watching along. He seemed to really be into it...
Would love to watch something like this. The closest I've been was a mock active shooter exercise to train local police and SWAT. Was done at our school during the day and my history class happened to be the one chosen at random by the officer pretending to be the shooter to be used as hostages. He led us out to a bus while firing blanks into the air. Once on the bus we noticed we were being watched by a sniper team and a while later flashbangs went off and SWAT moved in to get us out. Was a pretty cool and unique experience especially for a bunch of high schoolers. This was like 2012 or something. Hopefully one of the takeaways for them was that glare is a thing. If a bunch of high schoolers can see your overwatch from like 300 meters away then so can the suspect.
Glare can be prevented. The purp knows there are cops watching him ready to pull the trigger. So glare isnt the issue.
We're you trained to stand outside the building for an hour while people got slaughtered

You are correct, if you are a man and you are armed, (doesn't matter whether you are law enforcement or not) and you know 10 year olds are being executed, you have a duty and an obligation as a man to go get into a gunfight with the shooter. At the very least you'll be taking bullets instead of more 4th graders. Providing a momentary distraction.

when I worked at a shipyard here in canada they loaned the feds a great lakes freighter for terrorist/special ops training =the ship was getting overhauled by us ,at the time I got to see afew tactical outfits climb up the mooring lines onto the deck the military, police etc were all their...pretty cool to see in action
Watched this with my young son. He’s Army obsessed, seeing these men in action, even in peacetime, I reiterated that they are the strongest fittest men alive, in all Spec Ops teams. Amazing to see, the US really know how to put on a show. Who was brass collecting for those mini guns 😂?

little birds are so fun to watch, they’re so fast and maneuverable it’s so awesome :) Special Ops is as close as we can get to actual super heroes, it’s pretty freaking cool to see them practice and do this for civilians :) this was a great marketing event for them lol There’s nothing in the world more exciting than the sound of the guns WIDE OPEN on a helicopter or gunship!! They dump rounds SO FAST! It’s incredible engineering! Super exciting to watch :)

Danish frogmen are one of the most insane SOF on the planet. The US special forces are incredible on their own but with our Allies it’s like not even fair at all to the enemy
