  • If you're dropper post is sticking and you're having to give a tug to get it unstuck and working, watch this video. Even though this is for a Fox Transfer Dropper Post, most other modern posts use the same mechanism.

    Couple of notes. 1) The small ball bearing at the lower/backside post can fall out, so open it up over a towel and pluck it out. 2) When putting it back together, insert the inner into the outer and partially pull back out to insert the pins and have them hold and not bend them.

      Didn't solve my problem for more than say... 6 rides. I will do it again, get a replacement in the meantime, and send to Fox.

    My brand new one I got in my 2024 ebike I noticed is starting to rise 1 inch over night! It's never been used yet maybe just needs broke in hopefully! Like I say it's brand new not had the bike out yet just been siting it sticks if left a day till you bump it them works as should. I'm going out this week for a day trip on it so will see if that's all it is!

    I followed this procedure twice, no success the post was actually slower to return. Then I noticed the cable has an adjuster at the bar end - bingo! Post now works better than ever 😃. I guess the cable had just stretched and needed tensioned to actuate the post mechanism fully. Could be a quick fix for others experiencing same problem.

    I keep quality paper towels in the garage to wipe off greasy things instead of ruining my polishing cloths. Lint free, and when filthy, toss in the trash. I stash a couple with my tool bag, you may find need for them someday, out there

    I have a new Factory Transfer post on my new 23 Epic EVO and it sticks a bit. I just increased the tension on the control lever and we'll see if that helps. Where do you add air to it, at the top of the seatpost?

    Hi, how much wiggle do you have on these seatposts? I feel like mine is getting more wobly (side to side goes a little). I am not used to it and now when I noticed it I cannot unnotice.. Thanks for anybody commenting!

  • @AOL0321
    @AOL0321 หลายเดือนก่อน

    So unless it is a new 2024 Transfer post, there is no schraeder valve to add pressure to I guess, from what I've read. You just increase or decrease the lever cable tension?

  • @pabsgabs

    Thank you for sharing. If I disassemble the 2021 Transfer, can I put it back together so that the actuator is sideways on the bottom? Because my frame only has 200mm insertion depth because of the bottle cage screw. If I could turn it sideways, then it would not hit it and I’d be able to buy the 150mm instead of 125mm dropper post Thank you!!

    • @MILTONATOR

    Did you clean the inside of the outer tube? Maybe I missed it.
    A real service on these pretty much needs a shop or Fox since it uses specialized tools.

    Did you have to do anything special to get the index pins to seat? When I go to push the lower post into the upper, it pushes the pins out.

    • @MILTONATOR
      @MILTONATOR  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s the tricky part. But just apply a bit of grease to get the pins to stick and align the the pins perfectly with the grooves inside the bottom tube and they’ll slide in

  • @a8f235
    @a8f235 ปีที่แล้ว

    Mine has been like that since day 1. Not as bad as yours, but still. Sometimes it just won't get back up on its own, and lots of times it does not extend all the way. Quite annoying while you are riding that you have to push it down again and hope it extends fully the second time.
