    I like how all these videos the car is new and rust free . A good man times bleeder screws are very hard to undo without breaking .

    Hey, so I keep bleeding my brakes but on my 03 Mach 1 the brake pedal still keeps going all the way to the floor. I just recently replaced the hydro boost. Is there something that I am missing? Or do I have to also bleed the master cylinder? I honestly have no clue if it has anything to do with it being a standard transmission.

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s vacuum operated as well, so make sure all the hoses for it and the power steering are properly connected. I believe there is also a bleed screw on the master cylinder itself you can try to bleed

    hey so i’m just trying to add new brake fluid would i just be able to drain the whole system without having to mix the fresh fluid with the old in the reservoir

    • @chrisj2308
      @chrisj2308 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      also because i bought it and i don’t know what kind they might’ve used and don’t want to mix them

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would bleed the system while adding new fluid to the reservoir. It’s not a lot of fluid, so just keep pumping it out until it’s clear. Bleed it normally as shown so you don’t get air into the system.

    Overkill.... unless u brake the system open there’s no need. Just replacing pads etc. even if u do u can just let gravity do it for u. Crack the bleeder open allow to flow until it’s only fluid. That will remove any air that would cause any issue. But if u need a security blanket for piece of mind then u can where yourself out like this. Still I love the Terminator!

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Greg Austin Overkill for what? The video shows how to bleed brakes when necessary. I have never recommended bleeding brakes on my other repairs that do not need it such as brake pad & rotor installs. This is only if you have air in the system and remove the line itself. I had air in the system and this solved the problem

    • @hammerdowngt5004
      @hammerdowngt5004 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gotcha, but just try gravity bleeding some time I promise it works and can do it alone.

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage

      I would look at the brake master cylinder to see if it’s leaking. I believe you can also bleed the master cylinder in the same way but I don’t have a video on it

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage

  • @colinwahl2509

    Odd question. I have a motive powerbleeder, I have speed bleeders on my calipers, line wrenches, stainless lines, and, I even have the motive bottles.... I don't see air and I have zero brakes at the pedal. How the heck can I bleed the master cylinder?

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Colin Wahl If fluid is full in the reservoir, that should be all you need to start pumping. If you’re constantly adding fluid and pumping and it’s not taking any, your slave cylinder for the brakes may be bad

    • @dannyjohnsonsgarage
      @dannyjohnsonsgarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You need to fill the reservoir and repeat the process not letting the level get low and suck in air. Bleed it until all the air is out
