- Day 3 of our 6 day adventure started with fixing our motorcycles that broke the day before. With 2 bikes down for the day Felix, Chris and I went out for a ride around noon in the Lego Nero and Valle Argentera area. The first route would take us through forest and mountain roads. The Valle Argentera was ride along the Ripa River through a valley and offered a nice contrast to the first half of the day in the mountains. We had a few water crossings to keep it exciting and of course the day did not end without a couple of crashes.

Those roads look brilliant, and all with public access? Amazing! I need to arrange a camping trip to Italy as soon as the blessed pandemic buggers off and let's us all get on with life. Great vid once again my friend. Good viewing 👍
yeah - good to know - I thought I would be OK if the water was tasteless but no idea what the coolant tastes like ;-) I can highly recommend this area - this will not have been the last time there for me either - cheers, Oliver

@@RideAndShiner Yes - just water from the river crossing but there was so much of it so long after we had crossed it that I got a little worried - also it was as warm as the water coming from Thomas radiator (see the Col de Sommeiller video). In the end it was all good ;-)

Ja - zu viel Gas auf nassem Holz aber Hut ab Chris ist da wenigstens 5 mal durch den Fluss gefahren bis wir alle Aufnahmen im Kasten hatten!

@@zampa636 I do not think so - Slovenia may be the next best place next to the West Alps - also the TET tracks may be something to consider - however, they are not all easy to ride with heavy adventure bikes
@@MotoVibes Yes it's not easy find a good roads to take with our big adventure bike. It will be useful if you can put a gpx. track. Good channel!

Also - I can recommend this website www.mdmot.com/ for a consolidated set of tracks - it is all in German but these guys have done a great job of putting the information together including GPX tracks. This information is not for free but it is 30 Euros well spent. Most of the tracks we travelled are based on their information

Hello! After the river, I see a cooling fan error. Does KTM react to deep water like that?
Nope - no electrical problem while going through water yet and this was not the first time the KTM got to see some water.

Thank you very much Eric - I have only had the pleasure to ride through parts of Washington once in 2018 in a rented Harley Davidson. The video from that trip was one of the first to appear on this channel - this is the remastered (a little better editing) version th-cam.com/video/pK2X9rpG2ys/w-d-xo.html - so yes, similar scenery above the tree line and most amazing scenery. We were planing to go back to the US in 2020 but the way things are going it may not be until end of this year (so not riding in the winter). cheers, Oliver

I like both - add the occasional race track visit to the mix too. It is amazing what you can do with this motorcycle -the only real way to improve this bike would be by making it lighter ;-)
@@MotoVibes Lighter will be great but you would want to keep the 1290 engine else you will miss the road fun.
@@zeplin4078 absolutely - I am keen to ride the 890 Adventure R just to see how that is but I am used to 160 horses on the road - kinda hard to turn you back on that ;-)

Wenn meine von der Inspektion kommt ist die Kette nach Vorgabe gespannt, für den offraod Einsatz ist es aber echt nervig!
Ich spanne dann nochmal selbst nach bis das klappern weg ist!

Also irgendwas macht da ordentlich Geräusche wenn der Untergrund grober wird. Am Anfang dachte ich die Kiste fällt mir auseinander 😂 aber ist alles dran geblieben. An die Kettenspannung hab ich mich garnicht gedacht- guter Tipp. 👍

Ein Großteil der Lago Nero Strecke sollte mit Deiner CF Moto ZForce 1000 gehen. Schau mal bei www.mdmot.com/ rein - die bieten für überschaubares Geld detaillierte Touren in dieser Gegend an in denen auch explizit genannt wird für welche Fahrzeuge sich die Strecke eignet. Die von MDMOT angebotenen Piemont Streckenauswahl war einer meiner Grundlage für die Tourenplanung. Die haben sich da echt Mühe gegeben - das Geld fand ich gut investiert.

Vielen Dank Lars! Hat Spaß gemacht diesen tollen Tag beim Videoschnitt noch einmal zu durchleben. Der nächste Teil ist die Auffahrt zum Monte Jafferau mit Abstecher zum Port Pramand - sollte in den nächsten Wochen Online gehen. Dann kommt Tag 5 - sehr wahrscheinlich in 2 Teilen mit Maraita Stura und Varaita Maira wo wir auf Valle & Friends treffen. Krönender Abschluss ist das die Ligurische Grenzkammstrasse an Tag 6.

War die letzten Jahre auch öfters dort,allerdings mit LC4 und Exc.....ist alles deutlich einfacher als mit der Adv.
Lago Nero und Lago 7 colori war damals immer "offiziell"gesperrt für Mopeds,jetzt nicht mehr?

So weit ich weiß ist der Lago 7 Colori aus der französischen Seite gesperrt (habe ich aber auch jetzt erst gelesen beim Video schneiden). - aus der italienischen Seite gab es kein Hinweis auf ein mögliches Verbot. Man kommt auch nicht sehr viel weiter als zu dem See - danach sind die Strecken eher Pfade und da haben wir es dann freiwillig gelassen mit den großen Maschinen.
@@MotoVibes ab der Grenze zu Frankreich, also ab dem Grenzstein bis zum See ist es offiziell nicht mehr legal. Hatte auch schon französische MTBer, die sofort das Handy gezückt, und unser ankommen gemeldet haben (wo auch immer?) - vielen Dank auch :-(
Seitdem fahr ich meist kurz vorher den rechten Pfad am Berg vorbei (min.5:07) zu der Liftstation und schau von oben auf den See runter (dort oben ist noch Italien). Allerdings ist auch meist mehr los am Lago Sette Colori als bei Euch - kommt immer auf den Tag und die Uhrzeit an.
Und das Valle Argentera ist doch eigentlich viel zu schön zum heizen ;-) Bei uns hat (zwei Tage nach Euch) die Polizeit patrouilliert (30km/h).
Tolles Video - da will man gleich wieder los :-)

@@christianschwarzmann5175 Vielen Dank Christian - das mit dem 7 Colori See wusste ich nicht mal bis zum Schneiden des Videos (weil ich noch Infos zum See gesucht hatte). Das ist von Italien kommend auch nicht wirklich zu sehen - ein Schild was für zufällig übersehen haben gab es in diesem Fall nicht. Es waren einige wenige Leute am See - wir haben nett gewunken und uns nicht gleich wie Rowdies aufgeführt - somit alles gut in diesem Fall. Irgendwie hat es Bock gemacht im Valle Argentera ein bisschen Gas zu geben - wir waren mal wieder sehr spät dran an diesem Tag und so war das fast notwendig etwas zügiger zu fahren aber die Gegend ist es Wert, dass man dort mehr Zeit verbringt das ist auf jeden Fall richtig ;-) Es war aber insgesamt sehr wenig los auf den Strecken
@@MotoVibes das stimmt leider, das Verbotsschild gibt es wohl schon paar Jahre nicht mehr....und sogar der Grenzstein sticht einem nicht sofort ins Auge wenn man nicht danach sucht.
Und klar, wenn man sich anständig aufführt, dann sind die meisten Menschen sehr freundlich (da muss man sich als Deutscher erstmal langsam dran gewöhnen, dass diie Leute auf den Wegen Platz mach und Grüßen ;-)) Habe halt bei dem MTBer die berühmte Ausnahme erwischt.......

@@MotoVibes In der Tat. So exxxtreme Ecken sind alleine nicht ungefährlich! Als Team sind sämtliche Hürden zu meistern. Schade, dass das Gebiet aktuell nicht auf unserer Liste 2021 steht. Aber die RDGA wird sicherlich auch ein Filetstück werden.
