Eternal Refuge is the best song of the Album hands down, This Is Exile and Depths by Oceano holds a special place in my heart 🔥 A New Era Of Corruptipn is super slept on more polished production
I still remember when I first started delving into heavy music and the first 2 Whitechapel songs I heard being This Is Exile and Possession. I was immediately blown away and hooked, and this record still holds up.
I remember going to school in the morning, listening to "vicer exerciser" for the first time on the bus half a sleep. You can probably guess which part of the song woke me the hell up 🤣
Phil just said that their coming 9th Album is gonna be the continuation of the Concept in this Album Hope there are *Nasty Riffs* & *Mean Breakdowns* as well 💣💥 They've been missing the Intense Breakdowns since the last few Albums
I was born in 1997 I come from a Black and Death Metal background and then I discovered Doom and Thrash. First time listening to a whole album of Deathcore and am enjoying it a lot
I saw them in Montreal around the release or maybe New Era, but it was a straight stomper and Phil was super engaged with the crowd. Getting a lot back into older Deathcore these days.
This is probably the best sounding deathcore band I’ve heard live. It sounds like they set up everything themselves on the soundboard instead of leaving it to the venue’s sound engineer. They sound like their albums amped up to 11.
It’s funny how people say that they can’t tell the difference between the vinyl and this digital stream; the kick triggers sound more raw on the vinyl and the guitars aren’t as piercing for example, but I could tell on a phone speaker.
@@hectorvegasduque2234 LMFAO. LORNA SHORE ,SIGNS OF THE SWARM, SHADOW OF INTENT ,ENTERPRISE EARTH, TO THE GRAVE, and ANGEL MAKER ARE CARRYING THE TORCH IMO .
Despised Icon is the OG of deathcore if any of y’all are interested (first album) This album was the peak of the genre when it came out though, good stuff front to back.
Man, the spoken lyrics of Guy on that song are so legendary. The Red Chord played such a huge role in my highschool years. Felt good to hear his voice on that song and on this album.
I miss the times when albums were recorded and mixed like this. Raw and Heavy. Nowadays most of the metal albums sound too soft and overproduced. A good example of this is Born of Osiris' The new reign OG version and the re-recording. The re-recording sounds so bad in comparison. It sounds like AI played, mixed and recorded everything instead of people.

Never been more excited for an album before. Album nine will be NUCLEAR.

ALL OF WHITECHAPELS MUSIC IS LEGENDARY
I was born in 1997 I come from a Black and Death Metal background and then I discovered Doom and Thrash. First time listening to a whole album of Deathcore and am enjoying it a lot
I was 13 in 2008. My mind was blown when I heard Possession.
An incredible album opening the gateway to DeathCore for me. Very entertaining and energizing
One of the only Death Core Bands I love along with Carnifex and Chelsea Grin

I saw them in Montreal around the release or maybe New Era, but it was a straight stomper and Phil was super engaged with the crowd. Getting a lot back into older Deathcore these days.
Here in 2022 still thinking this is their best era of all time miss you guys...

I remember listening to this on pandora walking to school in the 7th grade.
Top deathcore drumming
Kevin Lane was a machine
A massive improvement from their first record, where the drummer was attempting stuff that was way too fast for him all over the place
@@LordofDiamondsMetal agreed. first album was all over the place.
This is Exile, The Somatic Defilement and The Valley: the Triad of the Whitechapel's best albuns (in MY opinion, you can disagree...)
I shall listen your your holy trinity and drink the venom you placed before me.
Their self titled album is one of there best imo
I fucking will
I’d say this, somatic, and self titled are the best
It’s funny how people say that they can’t tell the difference between the vinyl and this digital stream; the kick triggers sound more raw on the vinyl and the guitars aren’t as piercing for example, but I could tell on a phone speaker.
Absolutely magnificent - the kings of Deathcore. Making the genre a true art form.
Fucking amazing metal I love it it ,
Used to be. But yes, this album is THE best of it's genre around that time 🤘🏻
Check out suffokate Oakland album dude! Then find your king. Or same year (Wings Of Plague Desomate the Week.

We are your foes; annihilators of the sky.
Damn. They just destroyed the whole ass sky and everything feels perfect.
Saw these guys with cannibal corpse down the street from my 🏠 🤘🤘
One of my favorite albums ever! Matches well if you play Dead Space with it!
Imo still their best

Their best album ever ! Top ten list best deathcore albums made in general !! why did they changed into ncikelback
Been too long listening to these. Fuckin awesome!
How oblivious could one beeeeeeee. Humiliated are the false allies. Fuck Exalt is so good.
Man, the spoken lyrics of Guy on that song are so legendary. The Red Chord played such a huge role in my highschool years. Felt good to hear his voice on that song and on this album.
Excellent
that two step with the gang vocals go so dummy hard in the middle of messiahbolical
Is what you call "two step" the D-beat? Or are you referring to karate dance moves?
Where it all started for me.
Check out suffokate Oakland album dude! Then find your king. Same year (Wings Of Plague Desomate the Weak)
Best.
This album is still a fuckin hammer!!! Still absolutely crushes!
