Fury but It's WW1

- If you've ever wondered, as we have, whether Fury as a WW1 movie would be any good, or at least a little more historically accurate, well this probably isn't going to answer that question... but it was bloody good fun to make! Thanks to Displate for sponsoring this one! Follow our link to see our curated selection of Displates and to support the channel - www.displate.com/squire_?art=...
We'd also like to give a massive thank you to the team at The Norfolk Tank Museum for allowing us to film with Deborah, their Mk IV Tank, and particularly Stephen and Josh for starring in this video as Peterson and Grady.

We hope you enjoy this one! Once we've had a chance to recuperate from the vicious assault on the human senses that is a few hours in a Mk IV tank, we'll get stuck straight into the next one. Well, as long as my back heals, and Bill gets his hearing back...

Another video another munch
ok
G'day Squire
Sounds like fun experience
We need a gaming video of y’all playing battlefield 1
The Norfolk Tank Museum has a lot of trust in squire to not immediately destroy every tank he touches
We enjoy having them here!!
I mean it is a tank
@@thehistorymaniac2966 _Never_ underestimated the ability of some people to get things destroyed, even if we are talking about tanks.
Wouldn't you trust that handsome bastard 😂
For now…
We’re now officially in an age where TH-camr makes historical comedy with real replica WW1 tank. The production value of Squire had now surpassed 90% of all war movies in existence.
Still remember when he used cardboard props
Surpassed the Muscovite army
@@kikidevine694 hahah true that
@@user-op8fg3ny3jor war thunder models with voices
The cardboard props need to make a comeback. These real tanks are standing on the shoulders of what the carboard props built!@@user-op8fg3ny3j
It took me about 5 minutes to realise they were filming using a real tank and it dawned on me how much trust is placed in this man
I didn't even notice untill I did notice
Not the first real tank they have used. The tank museum allows them to use real tanks for quite a few of their videos.
It's just better because it's a *Landship*, no mass produced WW2 or more modern tank, that's what makes it for me
@@Solhurstit's a repro one of those things that's rarer than an original and very cool
Joke's on them
I witnessed all the pain and held back my emotions, but when he lost that mustache at the end, I will admit I shed a few tears. Incredible work as usual. Looking forward to if Fury was a Roman Movie.
Glad you enjoyed it, Citizen.
But before, the spinoff of Fury - the Siege Tower, and the prologue, Fury -The Hittite War Chariot movie
If Top Gun was Roman: “Maverickus, you’re the best charioteer we have.”
If Fury was a british movie, it'd be called Somewhat Miffed.
Indeed.
😂🤣 brilliant!
"Hopping Mad"
It was Fray Bentos.
@@SquireComedyand you make video if fury was a Japanese movie
There was actually a British tank during WW1 that got stuck in a shell crater and held off German waves of attack for like 2 days, it basically was Fury, I forgot the name of the tank but I think it would make a good story to base a W1 version of Fury off of.
That would be the "Fray Bentos" Male pattern Mk. IV Landship at the 2nd battle of Ypres
Well yeah, the Germans had nothing that could take out the tank so they just wasted a lot of infantry on it.
And for the benefit of non-UK viewers, Fray Bentos is (then and now) a popular brand of corned beef - ie, meat in a tin.
British soldier humour works like that.
@@unclenogbad1509 I love corned beef, especially corned beef sandwich. Reminded me of my childhood.
@@AlexSDU same here.
“Thou shalt not kil, so I’ll aim for their knees”, fucking hilarious
“Preacher, don't the Bible have some pretty specific things to say about killing?”
“Quite specific. It is, however, somewhat fuzzier on the subject of kneecaps.”
" Flatout I believe we can push it at 3 sir"
Honestly my opinion that's the part that made me laugh really hard early on
Although Mr Squire, I don't think you were entirely 100% accurate I do believe it would be a very Swift and eye watering speed of about 2.5.
Before or after you pass out from monoxide poisoning and vomit all over the gear box. 🤢🤢
It's the little jokes like that that are the funniest. I still think about the Bombay door every now and then...
@@MaeBee don’t forget the bucket used for voiding your bowels and bladder. That’s quite a smell, petroleum fumes and various other things at about 45 degrees Celsius.
In the distance future they might even go double digit
You came a looooooooooooooooong way from the "Low Graphics" (Cardboard) Weapons.
All I can say is: Well deserved, Sir. Well deserved.
Like the Sten gun of the second big kurfuffle, cardboard weapons weren’t the best weapons, but they were just the weapons that were needed!
or maybe they're just really good with cardboard
and before the cardboard it was war thunder
The next logical step from using a real tank in your fury film would be asking a real Brad Pitt to join you on a next one.
Oooohhhh...tempting
RIP Captain Squire's moustache...
That is such a classic. And the Displates advert was absolutely brilliant. How you managed to do that without so much as Paramount knowing, I will never know.
Hush hush, old boy. The walls have ears.
Am I the only one hoping that these lovely chaps make a full on film one day?
We'd probably have to crowd fund it, haha.
@@SquireComedy I'll throw in 10€ 🤣
My vote goes towards a shot by shot remake of The Thin Red Line. All the dialogue is the same only with Squire, British accents and cardboard rifles.
I think it would be both moving and hilarious.
For sure XD@@davegoodman6489
@@SquireComedyyou could always do it as a load of serialised 30 minute TH-cam videos, then stitched together...
The plot twist at the end though. Absolute pinnacle of creativity.
Too kind, too kind.
Honestly……I can see David Ayer can make a WW1 version of Fury….maybe…..
when is Peter Jackson going to make Goshawk Squadron, that's what I want to know. I'll be dead soon so he needs to get a move on.
2020: Cardboard guns
2023: an actual tank from WWI
Ack mien knee-capen! I love the pseudo German in Squire's videos
Once again the German dialogue was absolutely immaculate, well done!
Danke
I must say, the quality of production is really top notch, ( much better than a cardboard guns and edited warthunder tanks ) I'm really hoping that someday you guys can make movies! Love from indonesia!
That was...bloody brilliant.😂 A comedy worthy of recognition because of its uniqueness. I think we got the next generation of Monthy Python. Well done lads👏
Thanks for the kind words!
The Black Adder goes to the Front, as portrayed by Squire .
I was expecting a A7V to show up like a Tiger.
Couldn't get a running one, for some reason...
:D
@@SquireComedy shame
The fact that the take Museum let you in the vehicle let alone take it out on the road is amazing
Well it's not like it's a Ming vase or something. Not easy to damage a war machine.
@@TJCID22 If it were a real Mark IV, it would actually be incredibly easy to damage, because no one had figured out yet how to make a gearbox that actually worked in a tank
I think the outdoor scenes were filmed during some battle recreation event or something. Still, that they let them do the interior scenes in the real thing is amazing.
@@TJCID22these tanks are incredibly unreliable, spare parts are practically nonexistent and the youngest properly trained mechanics are likely all over 95 years old. Plus they’re often one of a kind vehicles, like how they’ve been allowed to use Tiger 131 multiple times (which even then, doesn’t have fully original parts as it’s actually got an HL230 engine cannibalized from a Tiger II).
Video idea:"What if Fury was a Soviet Film"
"Best job I ever..."
*Ammunition detonates, killing everyone and sending the turret 60 feet in the air*
Well, you'd have have to have about a thousand T-34s for that last stand scene.
Tank engine is dead and Russians pushing it like a battering ram
That would be a 30sec film
Squire has the best facial expressions
I love the little 1917 references they put in
'Das ist gemoven machen!' is now my most favourite german sentence. And ich saying das as german.
Ah, ge-wunderbaren.
The Star Trek adds are so weird yet funny
This sounds funny as hell already lmao
When Squire uploads, it’s always a good day.
Well it's definitely a long day.
90% perfect. Only thing missing was am A7V you had to drive to the back of to shoot where the armour was thinnest. 😉
Another banger from my favorite channel. Cheers from America 🍻
🤙
Can't wait for you guys to do "If Memphis Belle was a British Film" with Squire and the gang flying a real Lancaster if this video is anything to go by.
Hahah! Now THAT, I would do.
Thats a spacious tank. Something with that much room would cost $3500-$5000 a month rent in California.
It's the little details and the jokes as "R.I.Peterson" that get me stuck to the screen for the whole video. While English isn't my main language, I love to hear these jokes all the time, they always manage to crack me up. Keep up the great work Squire! :)
Nice skits as always squire, been a ride sincw you were just making war thunder ones i still remember the nat geo one
"And now my mustache, is falling off." got me dying
The loss of such a fine mustache is easily this film’s greatest tragedy
That's not a moustache, that's a highly trained slug !!
"The slug is dead. If it failed to cling on its life I cannot see any reason why it should be cling on your upper lip" or something like that. Brilliant line I say.
HEKLP
@@aziqasri5435 I agree, I laughed just reading the quote. 👍
Fray bentos inspired fury but this? So beautiful
I find it awesome that you guys get to drive stuff like this
So do we!
Squire is getting so accurate that Ai is taking notes from him..
How to did u go from cardboard guns to WWI tanks in a few years
Thumbs up for including a reference to my favorite WWI movie JOYSEUX NOEL!👍
Keep up the good work, I love your videos, you make the best comedy sketches on the platform 🙂
Hermoso trabajo.
Hilarious and all it got pretty dark, "Blackadder goes forth" reminiscent ending.
From World of Tanks to an actual tank, we are truly witnessing history folks!
"He looks like Charlie Chaplin with that moustache" Holy shit my sides :D
Came for the video, stayed for the Ad.
That Star Trek bit was fricken brilliant! I would watch that ad as a video in and of itself, over and over again! 🖖
The famous Kirk two-fist punch. The only thing missing was him participating in “local customs” with a green hottie. Boldly going where no man has gone before.
@@CorePathway Kirk's Two fisted punch, the bit about "Yes, he's figuring it out", and McCoy being a doctor not a mineralogist..."recall your basic physics, he's creating a magnet "(instead of gunpowder)...then the Metron appeared and I just died. 😂🤣💀💀💀 Perfect role for that guy to play in the ad.
The advert was the best part of the video!

I swear man, I'm starting to watch these just for the advertisements. They're so damn good, how do you come up with them?
Fr, that Star Trek ad was equally brilliant as the video itself! Dude dressed as the Metrone had me 😂🤣💀💀💀
I liked the joke about the Charlie Chaplan Corporal. Well done.
You keep getting better and better with this quality!
“Load anti-tank”
“Whats a tank??????”
It's always a good day when Squire uploads!
"Broken as fuck I'd say" damn near killed me.
that was some grade A kirk fu! well done! live ling and prosper.
That…was…brilliant
Fantastic video as always. Been watching you since your war thunder documentary days
I would have issues with the use of such a historical artefact, but considering they allowed the only working tiger tank to be used in Fury... I just feel more trust in Squire and his crew.
Love the video! Love the Ad! Love the addition of extras!
Is there something wrong with the audio?
All I can hear is engine noises?
At least you’re hearing something….better than some of the chaos in those tin boxes
Amazing content as always!
Cheers!
At 9:22 we can hear a reference to ww1. a guy who can become a future dictator/ austrian painter
What an amazing combination of at least three different WWI movies with fury and historical trivia. Well done gents.
Brilliant twist! Another great production!
That is the only displate ad I've actually enjoyed. Ever.
These skits are getting better and better with more and more people and better and better equipment.
Startrek part was so good didn't know it was an ad til too late. Big love from Captain James T. Kirk's birth state! Love your videos!
Cheers!
New squire vid= instant like
Squire and company are like fine vintage vinegars, steadily improving with age. 😀
Thanks for that, old boy.
most people would say "like fine wine", but you aren't exactly wrong
Squire always create amazing video
Squire is becoming a living national treasure of the UK. Keep it up, y'all. You're like anime, but from a rainier climate....if all anime is represented by "Girls und Panzer."
There was a sneaky Hot Fuzz joke in there wasn't there chaps?
I suppose there was!
@@SquireComedy needs to be a regular challenge that: how many Cornetto trilogy jokes can you randomly get in “Hitler says dogs can’t look up …” etc.
WW1 tanks are just hilarious. Just big ass metal boxes.
Squire really can fineness himself into anything he want
love your work! keep it up guys
I had "Our World War" flashbacks with the scenes inside the tank lmao, I died with the plot twist at the end lmao.
Also i love how squire improves the fact that his mustache falls sometimes, keep it up
“Mein Kneecappen!” - absolute gold
I wish I was like the Squire team and could play with all those nifty (cardboard) toys while making awesome documentaries for the world to be amazed:
I envy these people sooo much!
Keep it up guys!
9:12 The Rise of Evil Reference.
Also true event. When Hitler was serving the German Empire he was wounded and a British soldier named "Henry Tandey" saw and aim his gun at him but he couldn't shot the wounded Hitler, so he allegedly spared Aldof Hitler's life.
Liked for the ad alone.
That 'tache has a life of it's own
It did. It was constantly jumping off me.
Believe me if I’m ever over there I’m visiting the museum. Such an awesome place for allowing stuff like this to be created.
"Au, my Kneekappen" got me :D
We all know it'd be called Fray Bentos
Me: oh, those displates sounds kinda cool but I would only want it if there were Starfield ones and I doubt that's case
Ad: THEY HAVE GAMES LIKE STARFIELD!
Oh shit
My neck hurts from laughing, thanks for making my day!
The Star Trek bit tying into the Advert was great , the Gunner was David Beckham...
I didn't think a joke could top the Funny Mustache Man, but the Padre talking about God and the grenade had me ROFL
Was actually in the bovington tank museum today when this released!!! Happened to see the actual fury
Despite having known a bit about Allied WWI war tech, I was not expecting the driver to get his grape popped in the beginning!
Love the Firefly reference at the beginning!
If it was, it was accidental! Haven't watched Firefly in about 6 years - What was it!?
Surely that was on purpose! The "shoot them in the kneecaps" seemed pretty spot on, and "Bible" is very close to Shepherd Book.@@SquireComedy
Funny how Norman keeps coming back after he dies lol
I'd love a full length feature film of this!
