Perhaps one of the greatest if not the greatest entertainer in human history and all we have is grainy videos of this great icon . Unbelievable tragedy and injustice!
@sunberst1: Thanx for the comment ! It's right, there is no Jerry Scheff on Bass. But it's Emory Gordy Jr. who played the Bass for Elvis in 1973. Especially Elvis stopped wearing Capes after June 1973-Tour. In 1974 he never wore a Cape on Stage. So the Clip must be from 1973. In 1973 Elvis wore the Aloha-Eagle-Suit - except for the Aloha-Shows - 5 Times. With the blue Cape only 3 Times: So the Clip must be from April 30, 1973 (Denver), June 27, 1973 (Cincinati) or July 2, 1973 (Oklahoma City).
This is great and thanks for posting it. The one thing that strikes me, however, is that when he displays the cape it seems a bit half-hearted compared to some of the Elvis On Tour presentations where the arms are thrust up really high and in a powerful, almost regal, display. Here, it's a bit like "Wanna see the inner lining of my cape?" So I ask myself, is this just a one-off where he doesn't bring the full showmanship, is he going through the motions because he's starting to feel bored, or is he starting to feel bad physically and isn't up for a more energetic exit? There's probably some people out there who know the context of his health and other performances better, but I was surprised when I had that impression of this clip. Again, thanks for posting it -- can never get enough bootleg Elvis video.
I am convinced if Elvis had gone through with firing COL. Parker and been allowed to tour outside of the U.S. as he desperately wanted to do and also done quality movies {such as "THE STAR IS BORN"} as he also wanted to do , he probably would have lived a longer life. Instead by keeping Parker , Elvis stayed on "The Parker Treadmill" of over touring the U.S. to satisfy Parkers need for gambling monies and Elvis 's need for money with his over the top generous lifestyle. More money would have been made overseas with cutting out Parkers outrageous 50 per cent cut by firing him. But in the end it was Elvis 's decision , the boredom and over medicating played a big part in ending his life way to soon.
Awwwww….the audience is still screaming for him at show's end. Pretty sure he is getting a standing well-derved standing ovation. So beloved. Does anyone know what city he was in?
On stage in public elvis presley is looking normal cant see or tell his taking drugs but behind the camera u can see what the truth with him and also people around him was telling the story. So sad. Anyway that his life he wanted to do Enjoying while his alive.

he stopped wearing capes in summer 1973
In actually fact, the last time Elvis wore a cape on stage was his performance in Tulsa, OK on March 2, 1974
Actually, Elvis WORE a cap in 1974.
And Jerry Scheff left after the Aloha, returning in 1975.

Sadly this was the start to the end with drugs, boredom, health and weight issue. Bless the King!!!
That must be Aloha cape #2 or a replacement, as he threw one into the crowd in Aloha
Possibly. 😊
